Excellent Pousada clean, well decorated, breakfast is very good. They have a van that takes you to parts of city. The location is excellent but Ouro Prieto is quite hilly so walking is a workout. The employees are very helpful courteous abd polite they made the stay even better. Loved this place you will not go wrong if you stay here.
We will never forget our three night stay here and would highly recommend this outstanding Pousada. The staff was charming. They went the extra mile to make us comfortable and to help us. Special thanks to Ariadne, who speaks perfect English, who sorted out an alternative flight for us when ours was cancelled at the last minute! The Pousada has an old colonial style with lovely rooms in keeping with that period in history. They even provide afternoon tea with someone playing the piano. The shuttle bus into the town centre and back is a boon as Ouro Preto is very hilly but well worth a visit!

On 06/26 my husband, brother and I was planning our trip to Ouro Preto. We had a reservation for the weekend. Unfortunately, upon to our arrival in Brazil, the whole country were having a Truck Drivers strike. The flight was cancelled but they re-booked at no cost. But the Hotel managers ARIADNE and FABIANO refused to keep the reservation for the following week at the same price and also they did not want to give our money back. They asked for extra U$ 100.00. The airline and the Rental car were very flexible. But The Hotel did not care about the Strike situation in Brazil.
