Geckos Hostel Hostel

Great hostel with very helpful staff, clean dorms, great cuisine, cheap bar and good ambience. The staff speaks English and was able to help us in many things (e. G. Changing money). In the evening there is always an action of the hostel, such as Bbq or pizza evening. Bbq was delicious and the drinks good. Location on the island ideal for partying and shopping, but beaches are within walking distance … All over a very recommended hostel with cool people and lots of action.

Good Hostel for backpackers, the rooms have a good size and are comfortable. The hostel organize activities almost every night even in low season and they have lot of volunteers that take care of you and the hostel so it's clean and the atmosphere is nice :)

DAA Hostel were Sichgabzin order However, I have been catching up with bed bugs… The staff was nice and tried to eliminate this situation, however, it has brought nothing.

Geckos is THE place to stay in Floripa, I booked for 3 days and ended up staying for 3 weeks. Great island, great people, great place. The hostel itself is well maintained and cleaned regularly, the bathrooms always have hot water, toilet paper, soap and bath mats (little things that a lot of hostels don't seem to maintain). The dorm rooms are quite spacious with comfortable beds and there is air conditioning on throughout the night. There is a swimming pool, hammocks and an outside seating area where Max holds amazing BBQ nights. Inside there is a TV, guitars, sofas, more tables and the kitchen is big enough for cooking countless meals with other guests. The bar is open until around 12 so as to respect sleeping guests/neighbours and Agnieszka will make you the best caipirinha in town to get you ready to party! Great location near many bars, clubs and restaurants and an easy bus or uber ride to many beaches, so a good base for exploring this beautiful island. The staff are amazing and really looked after me during my stay, they will put up information on the blackboard for trips and activities and recommended club nights every day, plus they are always happy to answer any questions and join in the fun. The best thing about Gecko's is the friendly vibe and atmosphere of all the people from different countries mixing together, a great place for meeting people as a solo traveller. Thank you Geckos, I will be back!

Close to shops, the bus station. Near to supermarkets. The people were helpful, rooms clean, beds all have their own electric sockets. Kitchen nice and large, lots of lounging area, great for when raining.

Really nice hostel, it has all the maps of the city. The staff is friendly and always there to help you!

I spend my best two weeks in this place, i've been traveling around south america and this place is something that backpackers looking for, breakfast is really delicious and the staff over there very friendly … hope comeback some day :) psd the cofee there is incredible.

Great rooms, clean hostel, great staff and good location. A really good vibe all round. The barbeque that Max put on for the hostel was delicious.

Clean friendly cheap. Some stuff feels more temporary than permanent. A few walls between rooms and showers.

Fantastic hostel in Florianopolis. For $45 Real a night you share a room with 7 fun adventurers and get free breakfast. The entire staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. From the night life to daily tasks or adventure trails, they have you covered.

A equipe é muito boa em relação ao atendimento, oferecendo suporte as necessidades do hostel e o mesmo a passeios e bares. Café da manhã excelente. Localização ótima, pois está a 10 minutos a pé do centrinho da lagoa e tem tudo lá.
