The best and only luxury 5 star cruise ship on the Amazon river.
Great ship and service. Piro is the most amazing guide with an infectious passion for what he does. His energy and enthusiasm for the jungle makes for a wonderful way of learning and appreciating a culture and lifestyle beyond our own. As he says, the Amazon is the 'supermarket and pharmacy' for the people. He gave us all a tremendous appreciation for what our earth produces (so we can focus less on our lousy processed food).

Allow me to say that the reception staff were lovely and most attentive. Our waiter, Ray, the same. However, upon arriving to our cabin, the door to the balcony was not and would not close completely. The closet door would not open. And, the ceiling tiles and the draperies were very moldy. Otherwise, the room was kept very clean throughout our stay. The maintenance staff did all that they could to make the doors work. So, we appreciate that. The flutes player was wonderful and our guide Mr. Jefferson was absolutely brilliant. On two occasions during our stay we encountered members of the staff who overtly expressed their homophobia. The first time, we were passing through the staircase and encountered two women carrying laundry. The blonde made a nasty comment about me being female and the other laughed heartily. On another occasion, I commented about how nice it was that a waiter, not ray, seemed so happy. A guest told him that I was homosexual. From that point on, he would not serve me. This, I did not pay for.
