The room was great very cozy but the restaurant needs extra help, we ordered food which took almost 2 hours to arrive. I recommend that there be a buffet menu for residents and day visitors be the ones to order from the menu. The staff was friendly though.

We went there today for my mom and dad 40th Anniversary and my dads 62nd birthday… very disappointed with the service, we were 7 adults and 1 small child. We ordered food which took 1hr 30 mins just to only get 1 plate of food, then another 5, 30 mins later then another 1 10 mins later and lastly my 6 year old daughters came another 10 mins late… we had to keep going and calling the waiter for drinks, never once did they come and ask if our food was ok or if we would like more drinks. Food was good when we got it but sorry that is a very long time to wait… and ontop of it no service at all. Then we wanted to take a swim in the bigger pool as the smaller pool was full of children with no place for adults… there was no one in the bigger pool, so we asked if we could swim and it took over an hour to just get an answer from 3 different people… keeping in mind we swam in the same pool just after lockdown no problem. We were told unfortunately we cannot. How can you expect 7 adults and another 5 children + in that small pool by the bar and in that sense my dad is 62 my… I am so disappointed… Then when it came time to pay the bill we asked for it and it took another 1hr to do that. When the bill finally came the waiter asked us to please put her gratuity as cash, why? Only to be told that they dont get the gratuity if it goes on the card! That is disgusting! We have been going to this lodge since 2020 and this is the worst service we have ever had!

Unit 11 non working toilet, bath tub not draining, no kettle, no extra blanket, no screen curtain between bathroom and room. Insufficient crockery Food was ordered at 19h00 and received at 21h30. Extremely poor introduction to my first night in Botswana.

This place gets 20/10 from me, had an amazing client experience at Makumutu. Not only is the service on point, the place is just breathe taking; a nice escape from the city. Oh and they have the yummiest cappuccino in the whole of BW (not even exaggerating), gosh! They also serve a mouth watering croc tail (must try). As if that is not enough the accomo is affordable! There u have it, plans for your festive season. U welcome my fellow Batswanens.

Everything is perfect here. The bar has reasonable prices, and very good customer service. Hosted a date with my girlfriend earlier and it was out best time ever! Looking forward to coming back again.

I simply wanted a lodge far away from Gaborone. Makumutu exceeded my expectations. Their premium chalets were lovely, comfortable and spacious. Food is great. Staff is friendly. What more do you want?

An awesome place with dedicated managers and staff. We really had a great time. The place is second to none and u really get to experience peace and tranquillity away from the everyday hustle of life. The food was lekker. Toilets and showers were immaculate. Naturally um not a camper but I must admit I was more than comfortable the tents eish I dont even where to begin. Was really impressed. Can't wait to return.
