Lousy attention. The lousy buffet only allowed them to serve what they served. In the domes they did not put heating and about 3 degrees Celsius.

A lovely hotel in one place! It is really characteristic to stay in a salt hotel in the same Salar as Uyuni, it is a magical experience that you can only live here. I particularly appreciated the room, very large and comfortable, tastefully furnished and recalls to Bolivian culture, equipped with a large bed (which has the possibility of being heat-heated, which is very useful since it is a very cold area of Bolivia even in summer), and a room with a panoramic window from which you can appreciate the sunset on the Salar. The room is heated (hearing the wind howling out at night you will thank a lot for not choosing a hostel). In the hotel there is a games room, a gym, a gallery of statues (themed with the Salar) life-size — both outside and inside, a bar and a very elegant restaurant. I mean, you don't run the risk of being bored. In the courtyard there is a fence with sweet llamas (my weak point), murals and even a chapel for those who want to pray. Rich breakfast, great dinner and staff very kind and attentive to every need (which is unfortunately rare in Bolivia). We had a great time!

This is an extreme, beautiful hotel with innovative ideas, restaurant has a well rounded menu, breakfast menu excellent and on the house (I like bigger coffee cups though) their souvenir shop is awesome (too bad no online version). Wi-Fi good on common ground area, inside cozzy dormitories not happening.

This is a very unique hotel located in the middle of the largest salt flat in the world, the Uyuni Salt Flat, The hotel is huge and made of salt, there are multiple sections with it's own bars and rest areas with couch and big flat screen TVs. The entrance and main lobby is very well decorated and each of the smaller lobbies are decorated with figures of animals, wall sculptures etc. The rooms are big with comfortable beds. Dining area is on the upper level with buffet which are pretty basic. Scenery outside the hotel is pretty cool especially in the evening. This is quite an expensive place, being in the middle of the salt mine where few facilities are available. It is around 20 minutes drive from the town of Uyuni.

Mostly a good experience, some notable drawbacks: the internet is absolutely horrible, which is perhaps to be expected for the remote location, but you should be aware that it will be difficult to use. The food is just ok, really nothing special. Music (mostly 80s pop) playing throughout the hotel is unnecessary and got fairly annoying. But all in all a cool place.

A beautiful place super quiet, good service of the hotel, the staff super friendly the rooms very comfortable salt sculptures inside the hotel very nice. I loved it and would always return the games rooms, the gym, all spectacular I would recommend.

The salt flat is a beautiful place… 3 times we visited this hotel we love… the hotel is made with salt blocks is very nice … I do not give it 5 stars per if you buy the package in promotion breakfast is served at table but if you buy without promotion the breakfast is buffett (I find it foolish… But, well. Maybe breakfast is not so bad) highly recommended.

Aweful, overpriced, hardly any food left for dinner and a very poor service. Very disappointing stay, no tours offered on the night, no food available from the menu and bufet was pretty much finished. Had cold soup and whatever was left plus instant coffee? Fireplace didn't work, gym closed and gift shop has ridiculous prices. So dissapointed and wish I picked the other Hotel and spa near by that offers stargazing and more!

This place is awful. Incredibly expensive (highly overpriced). The restaurant is horrible (no options. They don’t refill food in the buffet and it closes at 2100). There isn’t anything to do; the staff is unhelpful and unknowledgeable. We are literally in the salt flats and the hotel does not offer tours. The fireplaces around the hotel do not work. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Amazing hotel built entirely with salt. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, including a living room inside of them with an amazing view. The buffet is diverse, with vegetarian options, both for breakfast and dinner. Don't leave 5 stars because personnel was not very helpful when I had some issues with a vending machine (the entire front desk was watching a movie at the front desk).

Does not meet the standards in any matters.
Buffet very poor. Nothing written. Cafe for dessert not included at dinner. Menu that should be there we have never seen. Prices far too high. There is not even bread to soup and or salad!
Beverage dispenser is not refilled.
Reception does not speak a foreign language. Only Spanish. This applies to the whole hotel staff.
The building as the furnishings are partly as yet not finished or defective. No attention to detail and the outdoor area is like on a construction site. Ugly and unfinished.
Many things no longer work or have never been in operation, such as the witness studio, which has never opened since the opening of the hotel. Even in the room things were broken.
The warning signs in the rooms with appropriate fines are also a perk. We're not in a youth institution!
The hotel is not worth the money. The architect was a good man only it is now run down and the staff is horrible.

More. Uuood location right in the salt desert in Uyuni. Beautiful hotel which are made with salt, including all decorations and many of the furnitures. But in terms of the service, it is simply horrible. I have never been given, in my life, a room which is alteady occupied by others. I have actually opened and entered the room only to find it was occupied. At the restaurante, we were led to a table on which used glasses remained. The experience to stay in salt building is quite fancy but expect nothing more.

If you are looking to stay in a Premium Salt hotel. THIS IS YOUR PLACE, Helpful staff and great location if you want to go to the salt flats, if you are thinking to eat there I will only get the dinner! Because you will be out in the salt flat all day.

I stayed 2 nights in this hotel, comfortable hot environments, the bad were building rooms and there were impassable places. Very rich food and the waiter Jonathan very friendly.

Great place to stay. Lovely place. The administrator Jose was up to all the details. From a 3 am check in to the dinner floor he was on top. Very helpful on finding our tour.

I had an amazing stay at Hotel Cristal Samana. It is a unique experience in an extraordinary hotel with unbelievable friendly and supportive personnel. They did everything to make me feel home. Even when it was cold in the nights they put extra heaters in my room. The food was of great choice and delicious. Highly recommended!

Quiet place, rooms are kind of cold but they have electric blankets, my rooms has a great view to the sunrise… All made of salt!

This hotel has the potential to be a real stand out, made of salt, the design is wonderful, really interesting shape and layout, quirky carvings in the salt walls, great communal spaces such as a fantastic games room (fab idea as there's nowhere to go nearby) and obviously aiming at a high end market BUT in the midst of their renovations (which appear to have been going on at least a year) they have completely forgotten customer service, absolutely no apology made for the fact you are staying on a construction zone, the communal sitting area/bar was turned into a temporary reception with no alternative arrangement for guests to use, no information provided in rooms, no water provided (expected at this standard of hotel). It was a though this was a brand new place just opened so hadn't got organised but apparently it's been there about 8 years I would've thought it would make good business sense if undergoing such big works to either close while doing it OR pre warn your guests and go out your way to minimise the inconvenience and sweeten them with thoughtful and fantastic service. I would love to see this place when finished as I think it'll be extraordinary but they have an enormous amount of work to do to bring the staff/service up to a level of professionalism to match the clientele they're aiming for. Stayed December 2016, travelled with family.

It is beautiful in the hotel everywhere. The meal is delicate and delicious. And of course the room is big and comfortable. It was a pleasure to stay in the hotel.

Last year you buy a package. At the fair of Cochabamba and to date can't use my reservation, as he could use it for a year and when I want to make use of the hotel on numerous occasions all the time indicates to me that there is no space, you never have space to think that there is not even this hotel, we try to go. 3 times in the past year now. We want to go. And tell us that. No longer force my reservation since I spend more than a year. And never use it
I feel totally ripped off VERY VERY ANNOYING. It is a bad image for the foreigners. That there are companies as irresponsible as this, and make you look bad to the country. Should do the same with all their guests. Just in case you ask for the payment at the fair and do not give you, or bill, a receipt that doesn't say the name of the hotel
For those who want to buy them I recommend not to do so. Now we just book another hotel more serious and better unfortunately what is cheap is expensive, we lost our silver. The hotel cristal samaña IS A TOTAL SCAM AND IRRESPONSIBLE

Hotel very traditional all made of salt and very homey, good place to enjoy the salar.

A magical place, the entire hotel is completely made of salt, it is an amazing feeling of energy as the hotel complies with the principles of feng-shui in addition to be found in a privileged area on the shores of the Salar de Uyuni. From all the rooms and restaurants have views of the Salt flats, in addition to the show of stars at night is an unforgettable vision.
