They do not honor online prices. I viewed this hotel online, saw the price for a specific type of room, I then go there and I am told a significantly higher price. I inform them of the online price and they do not match it.
So, if I had booked this online it would have been at the cheaper rate and I would have been there four nights at the cheaper rate? Should I have sat in the lobby on my smartphone, and have bought it there instead then?
But going in person they want to charge a higher rate, for each of those four nights.
So I do not stay. I walk out of the lobby and find a different hotel. I did not stay one night here.
So Oblitas Hotel received zero money and receives this one star review for their bad practices. Was that better for them than providing me the online price? They had a customer in the lobby with his bags and his cash ready to pay and spend four nights and spend money in the restaurant and instead they send this potential customer to the street to find a different hotel. How nice it must be to have so much excessive money that you turn away a potential customer and say no to his money.
Is that a smart business decision, to have one price online and a much higher price when the customer arrives in person? Is it ethical?
