We had a wonderful time at the Running Chaski. The staff are lovely and incredibly helpful, and there's a great vibe. The rooms and shared areas are beautiful and very comfortable, with little details that make life easier for travellers, like sockets that can take plugs from any country. Special thanks to Johnny for all the great recommendations, for always being available to help and just for being awesome.

Very nice hostel, a tad expensive but worth it in the end. Comfy beds with plugs (sometimes oddly placed), light and nightstand. Generally hot showers. Decent breakfast included, and there's a nice restaurant on the ground floor. But mostly: super nice and helpful staff! One dark spot though: the Wi-Fi is at best decent, and quite bad a good chunk of the time.

Physically it is very nice but the attention is very bad, the kitchen always dirty except at the breakfast that the woman who serves it, who is very attentive, cleans the place. There is a major out-of-the-box out disorder at the front desk. We were missing things from the fridge twice and while they took over from the Hostel, talking to other people happened the same thing on different days so we suspect it may be people who work there who take things. To crown the stay I found in the early morning that I had removed the sheets so I had to sleep on the peeled mattress. I left the complaint in the book with an email for the manager to get in touch and received no response. Anyway, disastrous stay. If you can avoid the place.

Nice place with nice inner courtyard and a small garden in the background with hammock. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and the staff is warm and available. The prices applied are still a little pricey both the accommodation and the restaurant.

Excellent attention, tolerance to 100% at the time of arrival to your room, clean rooms, cable, LED TV and very comfortable facilities.

Excellent accommodation. I had the luxury of proving both one of the shared pieces as one of the privates, and in both I had a very good stay.
The shared piece had all the facilities and well arranged. The private piece was a luxury experience: spacious, picturesque and comfortable.
The hostel has a living room, a beautiful interior courtyard and a pizzeria service.
If I returned to this city, I would not hesitate to stay in this same place.

Complete hostel with everything you might need. A bit overpriced if you consider the size of the dorm. Staff is very gelpful and friendly.

Possibly the best hostel in a year of travelling in South America! Great showers, fantastic beds, AMAZING STAFF. Has a bar and some good food options. Arrived for two days stayed two weeks.

Great hostel, comfy beds with all facilities like lockers, charging points, lights and a great breakfast. The staff have been very friendly and accomodating… they just need to start accepting credit cards.

Great hostel with very comfortable beds and amazing showers. Really nice outside areas as well — we were quite happy to spend half a day lounging in the hammocks out in the garden with a beer. The kitchen is also one of the best we've seen in a hostel in South America. Breakfast is bread, jam, eggs, coffee and juice, although we had to wait 30 minutes for it whilst the staff went to the supermarket. This hostel is quite pricey for Bolivia — 75 Bs for a 10 bed dorm.

I recently visited friends at the Running Chaski in Chochabamba. After living in albergues for over four weeks on The Camino of Santiago I have experienced a wide range of Hostels in Spain, US and Bolivia. The Running Chaski is fantastic. What is also very cool about the Running Chaski is the back courtyard where there is a fire pit and some of the only greenerey in the downtown area all there ready to allow and trekker, wanderer or peregirno to chill and relax. I recommend the Chaski to anyone staying in Cochabamba, Bolivia. Hosteleros will find it a welcoming home away from home. It is clean, the staff was exteremenly firnedly and The food there is amazing (I recommend Vegitarian Panini, Pesto Pizza and Pesto Chicken Panini). Truly a wonderful feeling of home way from home and a gem within Cochbamba's Plaza Principal district. Ultreïa!

Great hostel with amazing staff.

Amazing place, the location it's great near from the center and it's on the party street. Very clean, comfortable, there is hot water and the attention it's great. visit the running chaski!

Fuy for a couple of times but it is a very good hotel nothing to say very good and cheap.

Good matrace, clean and new rooms, nice common areas, breakfast okay (even good for bolivia ;) ), hot shower.

Great place to stay, the best in Bolivia.

Running Chaski is really nice: super clean, the owners are friendly, nice and are always quick to help (like explaining to the taxi where exactly to go when you need to take a bus to Toroto and is not at the main bus station).
We had friends in Cochabamba and we found ourselves at our hostel to enjoy the kitchen for a Belgian meal: no problem for the owners and the mixer are used to make smoothies.
On the ground floor, the space is nice to work on the computer.
It is the quality of a hotel with the warmth of a hostel :D
Note: the hostel is close to the plaza Colon and 14 September, to 15-20 minutes walk from the bus station and there are a lot of good restaurants at reasonable prices in the corner.

My friend and I had an absolute great time in this hostel! It is beautifully furnished, the breakfast is great (eggs! juice! ) and the staff was very helpfull and could speak English (! ). They helped us with everything. We felt very welcome. I would definetely recommend this hostel to all travellers.
