Hotel Migmar

Decent hotel with nice clean spacious room. Location is away from the city centre. View from the room was great. Service is good. Food served mostly Indian — very limited options and below average quality. Food was a big let down. Otherwise a decent hotel.

Migmar Thimpu, Bhutan provides excellent service and experience for guests.
The rooms are neat and comfortable.
The service from the staff and support team is excellent.
Restaurant services are also great with good, tasty food.

Thimphu was our last stop and Hotel Migmar was our second choice to stay when our first choice wasn't available.
The food was HORRIBLE. The worst that we had in our 8 day trip in Bhutan. The attitude of the dining and reception staff was also very rude and disheartening given the treatment that we received in all the other places in Paro and Punakha.
I wouldn't recommend this place at all.
P. S — the dining staff couldn't even differentiate between chicken and beef. My friend's mother asked before taking the dish 3 times, the staff kept saying it's chicken but after another staff came in it was confirmed it was chilli Beef. I'll leave it here for others to make a proper judgement before choosing this place for their stay.

Decent hotel with decent buffet meals.
Rooms are large and comfortable. Heaving a Bathtub with hot water was super nice after whole day sightseeing.
Staff speak English very well.
Taxi to clock tower cost me 40 rupee wnen I stopped one that was already with two passengers.
Return taxi I was lone passenger and fee was 140.

No one is available for service at night, I had very bad stomachache and there was no water, I called them many times no one picked went to reception no one was there, the whole hotel was empty could not find a single person to help and whole night went like that, next day morning they were not even sorry for it.
They serve leftover food of the day before and forgot to give you something you asked 2 hours ago then you again have to call.
Disappointed …

Very well maintained hotel, very courteous staff. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. The hotel serves very good quality indian vegetarian food. Ideal for group travels and business visits.

The hotel is about two miles south of the city centre. It is modern without being flashy. The rooms are well heated and sensibly sized. Power outlets are OK but there could be more. Everything worked. There's a lift. Breakfast and dinner were pleasant but typical of Bhutan tourist hotels.

A pleasant spot nestled up in the hills of Thimphu, with easy access to the city centre. I particularly like the views from the window. The food could improve in quality and taste, the rooms could be more hygienic.

I stayed at Hotel Migmar and the room was good with a nice view from the window, which was a plus. However, the food experience was very disappointing. For both days of my stay, the food was not hot at all. When we inquired about it, the staff’s response was essentially, “Sorry, sir, whatever is here, you have to eat. ” It was frustrating, especially since we were expecting hot meals. To make matters worse, it seemed like the same potato curry and rice we had for lunch were served again at dinner. Overall, the food experience was poor, and I’ve already informed the agent about this issue. He assured me that he would look into it, but I hope the hotel improves in this area for future guests.

Not at all. Food: 1 bad quality, people fell I'll. Ambience: 1… room service : 3 rooms : 3 service : 0 most of the things mentioned are not there. The rooms are nice and room service is decent. But in room dining and water is huge issue.
Also the dining area does not have exhaust, food smells. They don't even respond on fb or reception please do not book this place. Distance from town: far away.

A very good facility to stay at Migmar. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
