We loved our stay at Cotton Tree Lodge! The people were so kind and accommodating, the food was amazing, the grounds were beautiful. It was so refreshing to swim in the river. There were a lot of great excursion options. We enjoyed the family style dinners. We really appreciated that they grew there food and animals on site. We were visited by a few spiders and cock roaches, but it is the jungle after all. We thoroughly enjoyed our time!

Lovely location, friendly fabulous staff, food and beverages all delightful. A very charming and delightful place.

It was AMAZING! I would totally recommend it to anyone who wants to have a great time!

The cabana's overlooked the river, which we daily spent time swimming and swinging from the rope swing. We started our amazing day off with yoga by the river with Parama. Valarie the manager was always a step ahead of our needs and wants. She and her staff were always so pleasant and accommodating. Again, Loved, Loved Loved our stay!

We were so fortunate to have found the Cotton Tree Lodge at a booth at an expo in the U. S. Otherwise we would have never found this oasis in Belize or all of it's surrounding activities. We are definitely going back to the Lodge with family and friends who were not able to go with us this time. The food was amazing and the staff were so very kind. Almost everyone in Belize speaks English.

Cotton tree has been amazing. World class service. We came as a family and they have been great at accommodating our whole family. The kids are having an amazing time. The food is to die for! We went kayaking through the river and got to see some monkeys. Definitely an experience we won’t forget! Thank you!

This place is wonderful. We stayed 3 nights (dad and teenage daughters) and one night had the entire lodge to ourselves. You should be okay with screen-only windows, howler monkeys at night, and bugs. The local food was incredible. The Blue Creek Cave adventure is a must, for those able to climb slippery rocks and jump from a small cliff. We swam at least a mile. We visited both Mayan ruins, which I would also recommend. This is as real as it gets. The rope swing is great. I loved it and will be back someday.

My wife and I decided to take a chance and vacation in the jungles of Belize at the Cotton Tree eco-lodge. We could not have chosen a better place. There is no other location in the world like this. Completely remote and removed but also full of warm people from the neighboring villages and comfortable cabins at the lodge. The Cotton Tree is a magical place, peaceful and yet exciting. We fell asleep every night to the sounds of the jungle and awoke to the sounds of the birds. Everything was taken care of with friendly hospitality by the staff of the Cotton Tree. You can relax all day with yoga and massages or see the country with the cultural and adventure tours. We will be back to this beautiful country and absolutely will stay at the Cotton Tree again. Thank you to everyone there!

We are a couple of a certain age living in Michigan, seeking to warm our bones from the cold winter up north. We loved visiting the jungle environment in Belize at the Cotton Tree Lodge with its wild animals, the sound of howling monkeys, a warm river for kayaking, good food well prepared, educational trips and lectures and Mayan ruins. We would awake each morning to the song of a turkey who gobbled throughout the day. We enjoyed our morning coffee and afternoon cocktails (It’s 5PM somewhere in the world! ) while relaxing in lounge chairs on the lanai. All day long hordes of hummingbirds swarmed into the tree next to our porch. All of this was new to us. We especially appreciated being introduced to One Barrel Rum which we have continued to enjoy especially at the Michigan State University tailgates before football games. It’s not available in Michigan so we have to drive to Indiana to buy it! We look forward to seeing Buddy, the dog, the official greeter of Cotton Tree Lodge. We hope he is still exploring his world and enjoying life in the jungle. He would sit on the porch with us to watch his world go by as we sipped our drinks and relished our warmed bones.

My mom and I went to Cotton Tree Lodge a few years ago and it was one of our favorite vacations to date! The location is beautiful. The staff is warm and welcoming. The excursions were so much fun. We HIGHLY recommend Cotton Tree Lodge!

The most amazing place… you almost don’t have to leave the beautiful grounds to experience the best in southern Belize. Onsite jungle walks, chocolate processing place, and the most incredible mystic tree you might ever experience.

My husband and I stayed at this lovely lodge and had the most wonderful time. The staff was lovely, the food fresh and delicious and the accommodations private and romantic. Not to mention the mango tree, the howler monkeys, a fishing expedition and snorkeling trip! Best trip.

Cotton Tree Lodge was exactly what we were looking for. The beautiful green jungle surrounding us each day and night was enough. Waking up to the emerald river and adventure to be had all around us! We took 3 of the guided tours and so incredibly glad we did. There is so much to see and do in this relatively untouched part of Belize. The food was excellent, local, sustainable, organic and so fresh. Loved being greeted with a cocktail and freshly baked corn chips. Would definitely recommend this lodge for anyone seeking peace, beauty and adventure.

Had the privilege of staying here back in 2012. Cotton Tree Lodge was one of the most comforting places I've ever been while traveling abroad due to the warm and welcoming staff. They really know how to make you feel at home. A secluded paradise that I must visit again!

Best family vacation ever! We visited with our 9 year old daughter and this was the perfect spring break. The all inclusive option includes fantastic food and daily activity. We visited Mayan ruins and had lunch at our local guides home, the cultural experience for us and our daughter was amazing. Visited the chocolate farm where our daughter was able to play with local children. The blue cave tour was out of this world and the guide took care to help our daughter with the swim. We are an active family and there was always something physical to do, swimming, jungle exploring, but plenty of space for quiet relaxation too. Plenty of variety in the food, cabins were clean and spacious. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

I went April 2013 on a whim with my mother after seeing a photo of the property! We had both never done anything like this before, we are so thrilled we went. The staff all know your name and actively try to get to know you. The grounds are stunning and become part of your experience, from night walks, to helping the gardener pick produce for dinner that night to guided bird tours, it is a special and unique destination. It is not a big resort and everyone starts to feel like family, I’m still in contact with some of the people I met while there! The excursions are interesting and help to educate and support local economy. Nothing is touristy about this magical place! The howling monkeys and the Mojo River just add to the relaxing ambiance, the 5:30 happy hour was always a treat! My mother explored caves while I read in the hammock on the balcony, you can be adventurous or intune with nature, arrive with an open mind and this will be one of the best experiences of your life.

I had a wonderful time at cotton tree lodge. The staff treated me like family. The food was FANTASTIC, the tours were exceptional, and the lodge is completely beautiful. Lots of bugs and noises of the jungle, but it is a fantastic and unique experience. Can't recommend this place enough!

We had our wedding at Cotton Tree Lodge and LOVED the experience! We brought 75 guests down, all stayed at the lodge, and had our wedding there as well. The Cotton Tree staff was AMAZING. They helped with all of the details for the wedding, for our guests, etc. The food was absolutely incredible (as well as the drinks! ). It was such a magical place to bring all of our favorite people together for 5 days. We can't thank them enough for the fabulous experience. If you want a unique, magical jungle wedding in Belize, we highly recommend you check out Cotton Tree — you won't be disappointed!

A beautiful retreat in the middle of the jungle, the Resort has beautiful location with Cabanas, bridges and reachable. Attentive staff, good food. The access by car is a bit tedious. In the Morning the birds and the Howler monkeys Wake you up.

Kool place to relax and, spend some quality time with the one you love.

If your an adventurous person then this is the place for you! My wife and I had are wedding here and it was PERFECT! Mainly because we didn't want the usual church or beach wedding, and wanted something more of our character. This blew all of my expectations! First off this wedding was about the quarter of the price of what it would have cost in the states. The staff was exellent and by the end of the trip I considered them all friends. Marcel, the chef, makes a lot of very good meals from there organic garden and local meats that reflect the local culture. The yoga instructor/ masseuse, Parama, does such a great job every morning in her yoga class and completely sets the mood for the setting. I'm also convinced she may be a little psychic, even though she doesn't claim to be, and I wasn't the only one. There was several times in yoga she would say things that corresponded with what I was thinking exactly when I thought it along with giving me a slight lower back massage right when I was thinking it was getting tight, among other things. Valerie does such a good job managing and making sure your taken care of all of the time, Algapito and Domingo do a fantastic job on all the tours (and they're real adventures! ), Alfredo and Sandy will make sure you always have your drinks and food, Maria does all the great baking. I was here for 4 days and know all these people by name only because they're all so fantastic.

Had a fantastic time here. The daily tours are adventurous, everything from swimming the river in Blue Creek cave to learning how to make tortillas in a nearby village. The lodge staff are mostly from the nearby villages, and there are lots of chances to experience local culture. The lodge and cabanas are built using local materials with thatched roofs and are open (with screening) on all sides so you really get to feel you're out in the jungle.
