Becks Bed and Breakfast

Such a beautiful location. Becky and Robert make amazing food (can’t emphasize this enough)! Great vibes overall. Birds + cool house/property + good community. Robert really knows his birds. Boat tour very worthwhile. After seeing the other hotels this is 1000% the best one in Crooked tree. Truly a destination! 🦜🌺🪾

This property is absolutely gorgeous! Its like a Spanish villa. The chefs prepare fabulous food. There are birds everywhere. Totally recommend a stay here. Robert and wife are extraordinary.

We stayed 4 nights at this fabulous bed and breakfast and enjoyed every minute.
Robert and Becky were very welcoming and helpful and made our stay unforgettable.
The Queen room upstairs was a delight. Full of beautiful furniture with an enormous attached bathroom. There is a balcony outside the room where you can relax and watch the vast number of birds who visit the garden. In fact there are numerous places around the property to sit and relax. Great for when it's pouring down!
The property is stunning and set amongst lots of cashew trees. It is truly a beautiful place.
Both Becky and Robert are great cooks and provided us with delicious fresh meals.
Robert is a tour guide and took us around to many places including the Mayan sites. He even managed to find a local restaurant serving up the "Royal Rat", a local delicacy we had been trying to find for ages.
We walked around Crooked Tree village a lot. It's a very friendly little place and fabulous birds are everywhere. This bed and breakfast is by far the best place to stay in this area if you want peace, quiet, great hospitality and delicious food.
We would highly recommend this place to anyone and I would have no hesitation in staying here again if we ever returned to Belize.

Beck's is the gem of Crooked Tree; a beautiful Spanish colonial complex with three guest rooms, central courtyard, dining room, and stunning grounds. There is also a spacious veranda overlooking a gorgeous African tulip tree that attracts several species of hummingbirds (rufous — tailed, green mango), as well as hammocks, easy chairs, and even an exercise bike. The B and B is a bit out of the way, but well worth the extra few miles outside the village.
The hosts will make you feel like family, and help arrrange any outings on the island (the early morning boat birding tour of the lagoon is highly recommended). Host Robert even lent me some jeweler's screwdrivers so I could repair my telephoto lens and continue photographing the some 100 birds we saw during our 2 — day stay.
The bathrooms are spacious, the air conditioning and Wi-Fi reliable, and the breakfasts are excellent.
If you want to avoid costly car rental, Robert can arrange pickup and return to the airport, which is just under an hour away.
ALSO: December through early March os the cool season here. We were pleasantly surprised by relatively low humidity and temps in the 70's-low 80's.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here at Beck’s B&B!
Our room was very large, with a walk-in closet, small desk, table, spacious bathroom (with two sinks), and a refrigerator.
Our hosts helped greatly with arranging several tours: one to the Lamani ruins, and the other a really nice late afternoon boat / birding tour on the lagoon with an excellent bird guide.
The house is absolutely beautiful, and so are the many plants.
The food here is absolutely fantastic : we had three dinners here, and each was excellent!
Birding: as it is very hot here; we found that the best times to walk around were early morning and late afternoon.
We saw Yucatán Jay, several types of Orioles, Melodious Blackbird, Acorn Woodpecker, Great Kiskadee, Tropical Kingbird, Social Flycatcher, and many others (often while pairs of raucous Parrots flew by).
