Far from anything. The jacuzzi are was a mess which is a huge shane. Massage was super awesome though! And the drivers who were driving us around Belize whole week were really nice too.

The service is great, the food are well cooked and delicious! The poolside is awesome… swim while the monkeys rage! It's nature of course, thus the monkeys! A definite piece of paradise!

Staff was super friendly, clean rooms, great location! We will definitely be back!

Walk out the door to your room and get 12 life birds! Attached and food were excellent and even helped me find my phone that I misplaced because I was so distracted by the birds!

We had a wonderful time saying at Black orchid resort. It was clean, comfortable, with great amenities. I'd stay there again.

Friendly staff, rooms are adequate for price. Food and drink is a little on the expensive side here, small portions in restaurant. Lovely setting by the river, lots of wildlife.

We didn't stay here, just ate at the restaurant. The juice was really great but the food was below average and not a good value for the price. However, the setting was beautiful and the staff was very helpful.

The whole staff is nice, courteous, attentive they made us feel like we're home away from home, food is AMAZING, we had cable & Wi-Fi they're kitchen restaurant is C L E A N!

Stayed a few years ago and really loved it, would stay again if I ever go back. Places were clean, drinkable water, cashew wine, bar/food. I'd say the staff were friendly but everyone everywhere we went was friendly… if your there for business go find a hilton hotel, if your on vacation, go to the black orchid resort. Edit: Oh and howler monkeys nearby, there was one in the tree outside our room for a bit.

Black orchid is fine for the price. Clean & comfortable rooms & really nice grounds. Didn't wow us though. They could do a bit more to make this place better esp since it's right on the river. Food & drinks a bit pricey too.

This place is sooo relaxing, and the best part is, it is a hidden hotel in Belize.

Quiet quaint establishment away from the noise filled with natural beauty, gracious and professional staff, delicious food and drinks and a variety of things to do.

The staff was extraordinary. We had an excellent time. The rooms were clean and cool. We were treated like we were the only guests on site. The food was delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

A nice hotel in burrel boom. Lots of birds, iguanas and crocodiles. Friendly personnel. Breakfast buffet needs more attention from staff.

Rooms are very comfortable and clean, AC worked great, TV was the smallest thing I've ever seen but cable TV was great. This is a SUPER expensive hotel for what you get. Pool water was filthy so we couldn't use it when that would have probably been the only thing we could do in such hot and humid weather. Hotel is in the middle of nowhere, not very nice area. Food was extremely expensive and it sucked as well. Breakfast was mediocre. If it would have cost half the price, I wouldn't complain so much… not worth it.

One of our favorite places to stay while in Belize. Clean comfortable and safe. Great food and the staff are some of the best anywhere.

For what you get, this place is unfathomably expensive. Definitely not worth the outrageous price. Water pressure in the showers is abysmal, hardly a trickle. The "continental breakfast" was a joke. Literally a few pieces of watermelon and stale cereal (no milk! ). I was trying to get an early departure, but they didn't even unlock the breakfast room until well after 7:30 after I had to pester them several times (the restaurant where you pay for breakfast was open at 6am, of course). If I had known what I was waiting for, I wouldn't have bothered. The internet was also quite slow. I've stayed in 10 different places here in Belize and this was by far the most disappointing stay I've had so far. I felt extorted and deceived. You can easily stay at a place twice as nice for 1/4 of the price (I literally stayed at such a place the next day, search for Yim Saan's Hotel) To the credit of the hotel, the rooms were clean and the staff were helpful and helped me get some laundry done same day.

We stayed only 2 nights and found it to be the perfect spot to start our Central America adventure from. It was quiet, comfortable, great food and staff. We even had our own small group of Howler Monkeys enjoying breakfast in the tree in front of our "courtyard room". Next time we will plan on spending more than two nights there.
