Review of B&B Kamerijck 4*

Everything about this place is nice! This is an ideal place to relax or to enjoy each-other. The friendly hosts make this experience feel like you're coming home. We traveled as a couple with two children and both we as the children have enjoyed it here. I must admit; we were probably the most "turbulent guests" who stayed over, as we were with children. The other guests were calm couples or the owners & family being very quiet and tranquil. While the property looks lived and rustic, as it is still fully in use for Asparagus growing, the guest quarters are gorgeous! They give a modern touch while keeping authenticity with all luxuries you'd wish. The rooms are very spacious and designed with attention to detail. We had the colonial room; two children beds where provided and we still had space to spare. Not only did the host make the effort to advice us with dinner-possibilities in the region, in the room you'll find a booklet with all the information you'd wish about sights, rentals, restaurants, routes, … We checked in early and just before leaving (a birthday nearby) we decided to hop in the pool for an hour, because it was really warm. The owners' family was hanging around but this felt so familiar and relaxed we felt like being on vacation in the Provence. The host allowed us to stay around as long we'd wish, while they played in the garden around the pool themselves. When we returned in the evening we had a huge storm flying over and ended up sitting in the hallway watching the lightening blow over, while other guests where doing the same on the terrace. The refreshing breeze that spectacle brought, while seeing as far the eye could reach over the fruit trees… The morning after we walked a route the host suggested, to walk off our breakfast and enjoyed the calmth and beauty of this place before returning to our hectic life. The breakfast was A+ : They provide fresh yogurt (even the children were raving about it) and a lot of local produce which is mainly fruit and jams. There is a large choice of cheeses but there isn't that much meat. Before you have finished tasting the fruits, yogurt, croissants and jams and the children finish with a tiny box of cereals… You'll be ready to start the day and will not have missed anything. It is "just right".
