Maxhotel The Usual Brussels Hotel

So let's start with the negative.
In the lounge area, during the morning, where there are vending machines for coffee, cappuccino and other things, the hotel very "generously" provides for free, for its guests, a pan with croissants, as usual in the morning, I descend to lounge and pay 2 cappuccino to the distributor and with the pastry tongs I take 2 croissants, I bring it to my room where my partner is waiting for me. One morning during my descent to the lounge I find this person, a corpulent guy with a beard, who tells me that I should not bring the croissants in the room, I look at him a little confused, and I ask who he is, he replies that it is the director, and according to him, the guest must consume the croissant only in the lounge, avoiding subtracting and sneaking more croissants in the room. The conversation ends quickly, I tell him it's not my case and I'm going back to my room. Never before had happened to me that a stranger, addressed me as if I were rude and greedy. The hotel had to pay close attention to those who confer responsibilities, such as the director, and addressing guests with this lack of sensitivity and education is very wrong! If the "1-croissant-rule-per-person" seems too light, put a waitress to distribute them. But putting them at the disposal of guests, at their discretion, surely there is the risk that some exaggerate, but it must NOT be my problem, period. And by the way, never read this rule.

Nice place close to the city center. Clean rooms. It doesnt have breakfast service.

A hotel with a small reception reception area. There is a spacious relaxation room, with a TV area and a room to have his morning lunch at noon. This is a clean hotel, with morning treats offered by the front desk. The rooms are equipped with a bathroom, toilet, television, internet and a small friendly space. Price correct.

Good hotel for such money. — 1 coz it was difficult to manage water temperature — or too hot, or too cold… Room was at 8 floor, may be because of that.

I had a fantastic view of downtown Brussels from my room, and I was right around the corner from the City 2 shopping mall, and with in walking distance of the historic square. I was nervous to be in Brussels by myself for a weekend, but all my nerves subsided when I entered the Max Hotel.

Now's called Max Hotel. Google doesn't seem to know that. Good price. — performance ratio. For Brussels quite quiet and yet right in the centre and within walking distance of Gare du Nord. Rooms small but functionally equipped and clean. Irons on the 2nd floor (great thing! ) and coffee machine with bean coffee in the first. Wifi is a bit annoying because you have to log in again all the time. But for the price really recommended.

Good for one night as the hotel is well located, 10 min from the Gare de Bruxelles Nord and near the city centre. Affordable price but benefit accordingly: reception and distribution of the pass made via a kiosk, summary explanations without any contact with the staff. The room was clean but without a courtesy tray, ditto in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and I enjoyed the air conditioning in the room. Another downside regarding the soundproofing of the hotel, think of the Quies balls if you have a light sleep;)

This is the worst hotel I have been in Brussels. The shower smells like drain, the room is dirty and some Flys around. I'm sure you can get something better for this price.

Very basic hotel. Clean and fairly new room's. Okay location.

There is no shampoo/body wash in the rooms, but you can buy it for 1eur. Windows don't open, so we had to keep air conditioner on all the time otherwise it was wery humid. But it's inexpensive and close to the city center. The staff was friendly and helpful.

All automatic! Check in and check out automatic so you do them when you without waiting for anyone!
Very nice first floor with possibility to leave luggage but beware! I have to pay and there is no plate that tells us that they looked like God bail and we lost 4 euros.
Small room It's normal that it was… all a little worn, you see it from the corners of the room and from the door that doesn't insulate much. Noisy Heating fan!

Very simple and very cheap. But clean and in convenient position to turn. Check in is automated, you do the computer but if there are any problems there is always the assistance available. For breakfast is offered croissant, juice, yogurt and fresh fruit and then there are vending machines for anything else.

Watch out for debit cards, they only admit credit. I have paid 4, €24 above the contracted price with Booking by regional rate. Good location close to Metro stations and North train station (airport, Bruges, Ghent, etc). The staff were very friendly and ocnserjes. The rooms have what it takes to rest what is necessary after being all day sightseeing. Bathrooms have hairdryers and rain showers. If you want sheets in the room you are hired separately. Otherwise you will have individual bedspreads. If I had to go back would be the hotel I would choose for value/price/location/deal.

The hotel is great, a little cozy, the room is all clean. Towels were changed every day, our beds were closed, right in the center, next to the shopping street, restaurants. You can have breakfast coffee vending machines for 1.5 but croissants for free

Cheap, but in a very good location. Within quick walking distance of Brussels Noord, and not far from the center. Mostly self-service, you can check in and out without seeing any people. There's a vending machine on the first floor that sells things like shaving razors and cards for faster internet service (basic access is free). The rooms are pretty spartan, but that is expected for a cheap hotel. Not a whole lot of power outlets, so those with a lot of electronics may want to get a power strip.

Clean and quiet. In the centre of Brussels and just a few steps from the Rogier stop. Simple rooms, there are no wardrobes, everything is reduced to the bare minimum. Check in automatically without staff of the structure.

Good value for money.

Very good hotel had very good price, somewhat complex to enter as I did not have the reservation but everything was effective, the room is super comfortable I recommend if you go to the country but did not put the 5th star because the room had a slight smell of cigarette that I think was filtered by The ventilation shaft.

In mid-September we made a reservation at the Hotel through booking and I received the affirmative confirmation to go on October 11th until October 15th. Three days before the date, on October 9th, Booking sent me a message indicating that the card could not be processed?. I went back to update it and got the Ok.
The day we arrived in Brussels, I receive the same message at 18:45 H. Indicating that the Max Hotel could not process the card?. It did not give credence to what was happening to us, knowing that there was no problem of funds and no further explanation. At the same train station in Brussels we put the data on my daughter's card and our surprise was that at 10 minutes, 18:54 to be more accurate, we received a message from Max Hotel indicating that the reservation had been cancelled, I mean we had no place to sleep. It didn't take a quarter of an hour to override it, we didn't have a choice. In Booking we were told that we had three hours to be able to go to the Hotel and clarify it. Max Hotel did not give us the option to do so and in booking tried to make the reservation again and we appeared the message of no availability of rooms, when the reality was that there were free rooms, because so I did know the miss of booking that we attended Telephone.

Excellent Hotel, close to the centre of Brussels, superb location. For improving the Check in system, as it is a machine that gives you your room key and is a little complicated to handle.

No frills, nothing missing. This hotel perfectly meets what a tourist needs, who in the end only goes to the hotel to sleep. 100 euros a room for basic home basics. Room and sdb ok On the other hand, home. Well no, no home ALL! The man was watching behind the doors, because yes, to get into the hotel, you have to manage in the sasse at the entrance to pay. Cad encode your data, pay etc to finally have a room number without any info. For 100 euros a night without anything extra, I feel I can at least be welcomed and not have to stay in a hallway to finally be able to have my room number. Bill slipped under the door of your room at night. Perhaps the principle is to speak as little as possible to the client. If you can afford to slam a lot of money for zero service then this hotel is for you. Personally, I will not go back and do not recommend it.

The Wi-Fi is hardly useful. It is hard to take a warm shower. One cannot open the windows. There are some broken stuff in the rooms. But it was clean.

We stayed for two nights. The peculiarity of the hotel is its being all automatic. The rooms are big and cozy. The property is equipped with vending machines where you can buy anything from shampoos to eating, to additional services for the room. Only sin the check in by force from 15 onwards.

This place has no humanity. Literally, you check in at a kiosk in the entrance foyer, without any human contact. Then you take the elevator to a room that is too cold, even when you set the heater control to maximum. If you want a second pillow, you can pay €2 at a vending machine, and then somehow you can find a person who will give you a pillow. The "Wi-Fi" is a sick joke — not even enough bandwidth to send an email, and you have to renew the connection with a full new set of credentials every four hours.

The property is located just a few steps from the centre, it is also close to the metro and is well served by the means of surface. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable, on the first floor there are water dispensers, snacks, bubble bath, shampoo, toothpaste, razor blades and the like. It's all automated, on arrival you have to checkin through machines placed at the entrance and you pay the stay with credit card, you can not access the room before 15, but there are lockers in which to deposit luggage. Only flaw on the Wi-Fi which is free for the first 4 hours and then it gets paid at €5 per day.

Comfortable Hotel, close to downtown, and very affordable, no outside noise is heard. Oversized bed, and all right. In the morning they put chocolate Neapolitans and croissants for breakfast totally free. I would definitely repeat it again.

Very good hotel, very close to the centre. There is a metro station on a stones throw. There are various restaurants and shops around the hotel. The condition of the rooms are perfect.

Quiet and excellent location.

Clean room, with quite a few services available. Have a rest area where you can leave your bags for€ 2 and pastišas free every morning. Also there are several machines where you can buy coffee, soft drinks, snacks and toiletries.

Please get rid of those useless self check-in machines. They don't work and you should stop forcing hotel guests to use them. No front desk, no restaurant or bar here. If you stay here make sure you have all you need. But wait, you're in middle of downtown so you can just walk out and buy whatever in stores nearby.

The room is very cosy, clean, put any paste that you do not have a safe or closet, but some hangers where you can put some clothes. Has machines exprendedoras of drink and food but the breakfast they give free pastries.

A very clean and simple hotel. Right next to the centre of the city with a quick walk to Le Grande Place. Hotel has all the amenities, food and drink in stocked vending machines, everything at a very cheap price. Staff very helpful.

Rooms are clean and air-conditioned, basic but ok. Good price-quality balance. Check-in is (almost) automatic (there were a few bugs, but luckily staff was happy to help when needed). Design of the hotel is peculiar, particularly the elevators. Only minus: faint smell from the toilets, but all in all not that bad.

I'm very disappointed, for 100 EUR per night without breakfast, at least I expect shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom. Then there is no closet, no writing desk no regular heater, only one power plug which is used for the electrical heating system, no space in the bath room for personal things, just an uncomfortable plastic chair and a 40cm instable mobile desk.

I just stayed in this hotel for three days and really like it here! Hotel very comfortable, staff very friendly. The location here is good, two minutes walk from the subway station, and near of places that still have lots to eat and drink coffee. I highly recommend this place and I will come to this!

Cant beat the price and the location. Clean and big room. Wall to wall window, clean restroom. Wifi is a bit overpriced. Go to a Base carrier store and buy a 1.5 GB data prepaid simcard for 15 euros. Wish the room had a fridge but I got my room sightly over what I would pay for a hostel. Overall the best deal.

Strange concept of hotel, you have to check in at an atm, even if you have a person that will help you if you have problems. There is No reception or anything, otherwise a clean hotel (something to be thankful for outside of Spain), for the price a good choice, since this very well located and in a quiet and central area. You have machines, snack room and a common room where you can eat or have breakfast at your leisure.

Clean but simple, very simple; No reception, no restaurant, no rooms service. My room was extremely small (307) and the pillow the worst I ever had in a Hotel. Wifi is free in the lounge and cost 5/12€ for 1/3 days in the room. Connection was average (1-2 bars) and it disconnected every now and then.

Please do never go to this hotel. My daughter booked a room. Now she is not allowed to stay because she is a minor! No refund, money is gone.
