Boomerang Antwerp Hostel

Very nice hostel best in antwerp for sure! Highly recomend.

One of the worst hostels ever. The reception is not clearly open or closed. There are drug users in and outside the hostel. There is no elevators, I had to walk so many stairs… the women in the staff were friendly the others… not. The rooms have also not been cleaned in decades.

Craziest hostel ive been to… the hostel keepers are really chill and friendly… the concept of the hostel is amazing… must stay place…

Had a wonderful stay here in February! Staff was wonderful! Atmosphere is awesome and the music is great. Hopefully we can visit again someday!

Good place for large groups. The building itself is nice. The sleeping facilities could be better.

Very very disappointed. Bad management. Not enough beds for everyone. Obliged that me and my friend slept on the floor in the room.

Good place to stay if you're a bunch of students looking for a bed to sleep for a night or two. There are huge rooms with up to 11 beds in a room so you're forced to sleep with random people you don't know. Each floor has a small toilet each for men and women and a common shower area with 3 stalls and 2 basins. There is a kitchen downstairs with 2 full sized fridges and stoves. The reception is open 24/7 and I believe you need to pay to eat the "in house" breakfast usually comprised of cereal, milk, bread and some spreads. The coffee is free though and you're free yo cook your food in the kitchen as you like. At check in you're provided with a bed sheet, a pillow and a covering for the blanket. Overall this is a good deal if you are tight on money and are looking for a place to stay for a a night or two. Almost all the crowd here is in the age range 18 — 26.

Good location, nice social room and very nice people working in the hostel. The downside is no possibility of locking the rooms and lack of lockers inside the rooms.

You pay what you get. It is a nice place although it is obviously only for backpackers who need to spend a single night. The staff and the surroundings are very nice.

Hotel Boomerang Hostel Antwerp City canceled the reservation in less than a day without explanation. The hotel, having made overbooking, did not incur any sanctions. In this case, cancellations are charged less than 24 hours before and the total amount of the reservation is charged. Why? I had an urgent need in Rotterdam to look for a replacement hotel in Antwerp for tomorrow with a much smaller number of suitable accommodation options and to tolerate discomfort. The hotel did not even apologize.

The people hosting this place are nice. A shared bed costs between 15 to 25 euros. Good for traveling tourist who would like to stay for one night and short stays. But if you want to stay in the city for more than a week Airbnb is better option.

Very cheap, very quiete and clean. Very nice guys. 20-30 mins by foot to the city center, 15-20 — to the train station.

Location is oke. Food en living room are perfect. Bed is cheap but the price also. The only complain I have is the noice during te night.

I stayed here for almost a month. Very reasonable (low) price for a peculiar hostel. Warm and friendly staff. Clean rooms, toilets and showers. Lockers for your valuables and other stuff. A special locked storage 'common' — room for suitcases a. O.
Public transportation a grocery store, a self service laundry and more, just outside the entrance (3 min walk). As you wish you can change a new set of blankets and pillow cases every day. A cosy living room where you can be as sociable or by your self as you choose. A meltingpot of many different guests from many countries who confronted by the wonderful friendly atmosphere, automatically treat each other kind and with respect. I could go on but I think it's clear that I sincerely recommend this hostel for obvious reasons.

The sheets cost extra and the pillowcase was way too small for the pillow. Also the staff was quite unprofessional and the place messy. Location ok, less than 2km from the centraal station. Only real plusses were 24/7 reception and cheap price.

I would give this 0 stars if possible. It was by far the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in or have ever witnessed! It was impossible to tell if the staff all lived there or of they were guests that were just close to the staff. One of the "staff" members were in the same room as young girls and it felt like we were constantly being watched. And as if that wasn't enough from the "staff/guest" she came into the room at 5:30am and turned on the main light in the room. Then at 6:00am she opened the curtains so that there was no hope of anyone sleeping in, no matter what they tried. The rooms would leave you with the impression they are trying to shove as many beds as possible in the one room regardless of if it was practical or not. Sardines in a can like. They were also the really cheap mattresses meaning that the floor probably would have been more comfortable. There is only 1 toilet per floor and about 20 people for that 1 toilet. The showers were small, horrible and not at all practical. When going for a shower there is no means of keeping your clothes dry as there isn't even a shower door or curtain. This is also not at all wheelchair friendly as there is about 15 steps up into the reception area alone and it is about a 30 minute walk from the town centre.

Perfect place in a wonderful city… we just stayed one night, but enjoyed the beginning of our night in the hostel while cooking in the kitchen, dancing in the living room and just hanging around with the funny people there :) we definitely will come back (BTW — also to pay my last beer, which I forgot to pay, as I noticed — ooops. :D.

A really cozy hostel not far away from most of Antwerp's historical centre. The beds are decent, although a bit shady looking, the toilets and shower rooms are ok. The staff here is amazingly friendly and helpful — cheers to Alessandro! Would definitely recommend staying here for a night or two.

Super friendly staff. It's far from the train station but the city center is walkable from this place.

All the staff was very friendly. There is a spacious common room which makes you feel really at home with a chess game and couches. The toilets are clean and some rooms have a balcony with a nice view. The garden has a little basketball court and some couches as well. Overall a very pleasant experience!

Very strange place. Place is an old house converted into a hostel, so rooms are not very spacious and only has two showers and one toilet per plant, nice part is that it has an incredible backyard to chill out. Staff is incredibly friendly and there's quite a good atmosphere in general. Maybe a little too far from city center.

Very nice people and a very nice and komfortable hostel. I'll come back.

Shout out to the amazing Russian guy who helped me alot. A bit dissapointed in the girl when I called the number of the hostel she lied 'sorry we are fully booked' who didnt even speak the Dutch language. A job behind the windows might be a better one for her.

Very cozy, homey place. Bringing your own goods is recommended though — they charge quite a bit of money for basic stuff like towels.

Staff was very friendly and likeable… BUT hygiene was pretty bad and the breakfast was not woth the 7€. The matresses were old and awful. Sorry guys.

Very very disappointed! The staff is rude and does not know how to communicate diplomatically, some of which are very hautins. I had to spend two nights there, the day after the first night I woke up with bites, red (small critters). The staff my request to tell the person and refund me my medication (although I have not been refunded! ). I was changed of room, but I have not been able to sleep in their bed! I sincerely do not recommend!

A home away from home They say the city is in the people, and this is a really enjoyable place to land and discover Antwerp. The hostel keepers are really warm lot and they proved very important in knowing the city well. They speak many languages (French, Portuguese, Spanish, English, Dutch, among others)
You have access to kitchen, locker rooms, a common room (that turns into a great dinning hall at 7is) and Wi-Fi

Friendly and very warm staff! Instead of hanging in a pub on our second night we had a wonderfull time in the hostel with even some live music from one of the hosts (thanks Ben! ) Would definitely go again when in Antwerp!

What a great experience in Boomerang Hostel. Great atmosphere, super friendly staff, rooms are pretty cool for the price you pay for. Theres also a nice living room and a good terrace. Highly recommend! Cheers!

Best hostel I've been in Europe by far and if something is missed in the hostel itself I just passed out because I had the greatest time.
Best staff by the way. Only good vibes, about Antwerp? Don't know very well even after 1 weeks coz I spend most of the time busy hanging out. Miss you Boomerang lots of kisses.
