Authentic french food in the ardennes! Food was delicious and the portions were nice and big! We had the three courses menu and it did not disappoint. Service was very good although they didn't speak any english (only french).

Very friendly staff, great mix of old and modern. Foreign rooms can be small but are equipped with all Annehmichkeiten. Quiet location, alternative restaurants nearby.

Always at the top the service is impeccable, the cuisine is tasty and speciality of the terroir we will always return with pleasure.

I no longer count the number of passes in the 2nd establishment of Chief Il Forno. But for a first at Fournil everything was perfect! Excellent cuisine. And friendly and friendly service. Very nice terrace. Thank you to the whole team.

The location was very small and the location was great. I did not appreciate the refusal of tourists to gather the tables so that everyone would be together. Result: Two adult tables, one children's table. This is neither very warm nor very friendly for customers who have had to divide. It must be said that the waitress had to fend for herself while waiting for colleagues to stop their break, I guess. This may explain this. But don't justify everything. Too bad because the setting is nice.

We stayed for two nights at the Hotel Le Fournil.
The hotel's rooms are divided into two buildings (a part of which is the restaurant "Le Fournil", the other part where the restaurant "Il Forno" is located, the two being about 50 metres away). We had room No. 7, above the restaurant Il Forno. It was very quiet, as in the whole village which is very peaceful.
The room was equipped with a large bed (180cm), a second bed of one person, large television, coffee machine, bathroom with a large shower, wardrobe and safe.
Cleanliness to the appointment and service to the small care: we had asked for a bed for our 7 month old baby, it was installed from the finish with a small cover for this one.
At the breakfast level, this one is taken in the very beautiful "Brasserie" room of the restaurant "Le Fournil". Without being bloated, the buffet, sweet and savoury, contains all that one can wish to eat and is composed of products of excellent quality (the Ardennes ham and the cheese of Orval are divine! ) Everyone can find their happiness there without any problems.
Regarding the reception and the service, as for the previous points, there is nothing to complain about. The staff are friendly, available and ready to serve!
During the two evenings spent on the site, we decided to eat at the restaurant "Le Fournil".

This is our point of greatness when we go to Redu. As we reserve and we arrive at noon no waiting. Quick and good.

Two key towers, one on leaving Charleroi, the other to start: direction REDU! No matter how long… a good open fire awaits us "at the Fournil" where "the Always functional Bread oven" diffuses the warmth of the intimate setting and its staff radiates as much as the sun on the square, its church and its book shops.
Since the aperitif and its plate of delights Ardennes, via its entrances including the melts of local ham & cheese, the dishes also leave a long pleasure in the mouth and the eyes retain pleasant memories.
No doubt, a fine cuisine for all, whose purist revels in the ox "without hunger": The Rump & the filet cooked in "vapo-grill" thus deliver their qualities and this smokes the culinary art of "Fournil".
The management and each of its collaborators present, similar to the ingrained citizens, the richness of the products of their land; They know how to welcome!
Big wink to miss Charlotte for the special and very sympathetic attention she gave us when we arrived at the "Fournil"; His professional advice has perfectly oriented our choices at the table.

Always fresh — well presented. Nice restaurant to advise. Only downside the service is not always very fast.

Great service, great food and even better beers. Staff are very attentive and even cooked a dish not on the menu that day. Breakfast provided is substantial enough and has good variery given the small number of rooms. If you're staying in Redu then look no further. You must try the cave aged Orval if you drop by as it's not a standard beer.

Lovely little place. Like the old features of the building with modern refinements. Would like brewing facilities in the room. Good wholesome food. Friendly staff. Village tiny. Good stop off on journey through to Mayerhofen to ski.

Eat great, but note expensive enough to eat like at home.

A little gem in the Belgian country side. Nice room, good food, and great beer. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Wish it wasn’t such a whistle stop as the town of Redu looks like a good place to stop and explore for a few days.

Service is extremely bad, over 17 min to even have someone to acknowledge us. Then the server didn't even care about the wait … oh well I'm here now she said…

It is always a pleasure to go to this restaurant. The kitchen is varied, the staff attentive. Even a drink a terrace is a real pleasure. Really to advise!

Nice experience in a friendly atmosphere. Dishes good and well served. All we ask at this kind of an address. Service a sudden very friendly as is the area, of a sudden bcp less with a student not liking the groups. But Very well.

Very welcoming and lovely rooms. The restaurant is very popolar locally, so if you're travelling in a busy period, it's probably worth booking ahead to avoid disappointment. As is typical in Belgium (and France), dinner is eaten very early, so don't expect to eat late and DO expect the popular dishes to sell out. The room was nice and was clean. The bathroom was a little odd — like a fibreglass "capsule", so very tiny and limiting, but perfectly adequate. Service was good and friendly and the location is excellent.
