Round House

What a great place this could be if they sorted out their service.
Turned up hoping that they would have a table, unfortunately they were full and advised around a 45 minute wait which we were happy with.
We were shown to an area and ordered a couple of drinks. We waited and waited.
After an hour and a quarter and seeing other people walking straight in I (eventually) managed to speak to a member of staff. She had no idea we were waiting and were shown to one of many empty tables.
The food arrived and it was alright. Nothing amazing but ok. Good sized portions.
The view however was great watching the waves crash on the sand. It wasn’t the only crashing though as I’ve never heard so many knives and forks being dropped by the staff who seemed to be wandering aimlessly around.
When the bill arrived it had a drink on it that we hadn’t had.
If they could sort their staffing out this would be worth visiting. Until then unless you have a lot of time and patience, I would think twice.

Unable to rate the rooms as didn’t stay there. Judging by the service, food and the friendliness of the staff I’d say they are probably very good well.
We had a great visit and really enjoyed the chicken curry.
Would like to mention the owner Elit and Abigail for all their help today with my phone.
You couldn’t have done more to help even though you were very busy at the time.

Excellent restaurant with ocean views. The cod buljol and flying fish goujons were fresh and tasty. Note: did not stay at hotel, only stopped at the restaurant before checking out the beach.

We only popped in for a drink and light bite for lunch but the seafood platter took an hour to arrive so in the meantime we had another wine. We’d asked for it to be grilled but it came fried so that meant my wife couldn’t eat any of it and my wine went warm as I was driving and was trying to save it to have with my food. The service charge was only 20 dollars but out of principle I said take it off and we’d settle and go. I had a big song and dance from the manager about how the money was shared amongst all the staff but I wasn’t going to pay for poor service until she threatened me stating it was Barbados law and I had to, I’ve since discovered this was a lie. Admit your failures!

We walked in at lunchtime without a reservation and were seated inside, with the absolute best view and breeze blowing in at us. The staff were all exceptional — so friendly and welcoming. The drinks and food were great — we tried the breadfruit poppers, the coconut shrimp and the hamburger and they were all delicious. Thank you so much!
FYI, accessibility wise there are many steps to get up to the restaurant. This side of the island is very hilly and would not be easy to manage with mobility issues.

Stumbled across this restaurant while checking out Bathsheba and Cattlewash. So glad I stopped in! Gorgeous ocean views, excellent food, and very kind and pleasant waitstaff. Wonderful experience. Would definitely come back! (PS, they should create a separate Google location for the restaurant because most diners would probably give the restaurant 5 stars. )

The location is in the middle of nowhere the views are the best part about this establishment, before we even got a table they forgot or missed out our booking then to start off we waited 45 minutes to 1 hour for our drinks which then came out with our starters the prawns were nice the batter was too much. Then we waiting anThor hour or so for mains which out of the 7 on my table not one finished there meal the chicken was dry, the oxtail wasn’t nice for one bite, the journey here was horrendous with roads and we had to park 5 minute walk away down anthor hill I’d avoid this place as it was the worse meal I had in Barbados for the 2 weeks I was there.

We were seated inside as supposedly no space outside due to reservations.
We waited over half an hour for our drinks. Waited an hour and a half for our food — only starters! When the food eventually came out (just as we were going to leave without the food), one of the items was cold and had to ask for it to be reheated.
The view is lovely but totally let down by the poor service. We will not be returning during our stay here in Barbados.

An amazing setting with very friendly service. The food and drinks are average and we felt had gone down since our last visit a year ago.

We only came for the brunch on a Sunday. Without reservation we got a table with a great view. Food and service are good, no complaints.
If you drive there, which is likely, beware of the steep roads.

Beautiful views of the Atlantic ocean on the east coast. Food was tasty ans locally peoduced. Staff were friendly and fun. Highly recommend.

Stopped for a late lunch here last week. The food is fantastic, the view amazing and the staff were just absolutely brilliant, friendly and attentive. Made our visit all the more pleasurable when the staff are just so lovely. Well worth a visit but check service times and opening days as its a treck up the island plus it avoids disappointment.

We came for Sunday lunch to be greeted by Pat, as old friends, even though she had not seen us for 6yrs. Since we first came here in the early 90s, I did not think there could be a better starter than the run & brie. That all changed when I had the sweet pumpkin fritters. They were gorgeous, little balls of sweetness, that had my taste buds doing cartwheels, whilst my stomach jumped for joy, as I enquired whether they could be moved to the mains & desserts. I am not saying I loved them but I could have sat there and eaten them all day. My wife had the fish cakes and she was almost as enthusiastic, loving their lightness, crispy shell and the hint of chilli in the seasoning.
For main the beautifully steamed mahi mahi, breadfruit cou cou and broth could not have been bettered. The house green bowl a mixture of home grown veg fresh & roasted, home made hummus, mixed herbed quinoa and seeds with slices of plantain would suit all foodies.
I have never had a bad meal here and can do nothing but heap praise on the chefs. The staff serving were friendly, charming, always smiling and laughing and could not have done more for you. A fantastic place, long may it remain.

Really nice meal and for once some great vegetarian options instead of just curry. I enjoyed my green bowl and my husband enjoyed his fish tacos. We were one of 2 tables though and arrived around 3.30pm and it took almost an hour for our food which is just wayyyyyyy too long. Can’t imagine how long it would have taken had we come at peak lunchtime.

Went to the Round House for lunch. Reservations for 1:00. Meals finally started to arrive at 2:35. Last one delivered, an order of Hummus came at 2:45.
The manager took offense at our complaints.
We were only offered 1 round of beverages.
Don't go.

Excellent location, but incredibly disorganised. We arrived at 1:30PM and were told a table would be available at 2:00PM. We weren’t served until 4:00PM, as they started to close.
My burger was very sad looking, my wife’s oxtail was very nice. Very mixed. Nice cocktails. Would have rated higher had it not been for the poor service and my poor meal.

The views are amazing while having lunch or dinner. I enjoyed my time here, overpriced BUT the food was good. Our server was nice, the shots were nice. Not a place I’ll goto everyday for food but I did appreciate the experience. The ocean views are my favorite.
