Pirates Inn

Our 6th time in Barbados and first time at pirates inn due to our original hotel being sold, we are so glad we had to change we would definitely return! Michaela was lovely on reception and Chantelle and Nikita servicing our room each day. We paid a little more while there and moved downstairs to a room opposite the pool as it was more convenient with our son (10). Breakfasts were lovely for a few days but we had a car so we were travelling around a lot. I needed to see a dentist and right next door I just walked in and paid to see him! Location is great if you don’t drive. The dentists does have it’s own 🐓 but we always use ear plugs so it’s not so bad and you can’t hear the traffic. Parking is also great on site. We had Netflix on the TV and room was big, first one with 2 big beds and the other one a large bed with single put up bed next to it, honestly the most comfortable beds in Barbados! There are a few rum shop bars up the road of the main drag which a great Joan’s and Shainkas which you could play pool.

Rooms are comfortable but some are lacking items that you would get in another. For example in the 1st room we had a frying pan and in the 1nd we didn't or a gas hob lighter. A simple ask at reception and items were sorted straight away.
Hotel is literally a 2 minute walk to all amenities which are chemist, shop and multiple eateries including subway, KFC and Burger King. Then cross the road and take approx 40 steps and your on the exquisite white sands beach.

I really enjoyed my stay here at Pirate's Inn, and I would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect! 3 minutes walk to the bus stop, and close to several beaches, restaurants, shopping, and Bridgetown. All of the staff members I encountered were welcoming, helpful, and attentative. The place was clean and well-maintained. I stayed in 2 different types of rooms (one with a full kitchenette, and one without) and I was satisfied with both. I would definitely reccommend.

We returned to Pirates Inn after quite a long break as there was a big world to explore. It was very relaxing and well placed for shopping and eating, only just off the main bus route to Bridgetown. One of the islands best beaches was only a 100 yards or so away. All the staff were friendly and polite. The rooms are well equipped, Wi-Fi is good, lots of channels on the TV and great air con, secure safes although not quite big enough for a standard laptop. Very clean and tidy, the meals were good and other services like laundry saved a bit of work when going home. Very good value for money, the two weeks flew by.

The place is lovely, clean, and welcoming. All the staff are friendly and make you feel right at home. Chef Randy does a fantastic job with the food, and Trudelle — the hostess and bartender — truly shines! She’s incredibly friendly, always ready to answer questions, and has a great sense of humor. She went above and beyond to point us in the best directions for exploring the island. Thanks to her and the whole team, our stay at Pirates Inn has been an absolute pleasure!

The rooms were very comfortable. The bed was great. We enjoyed having a kitchenette to make our own coffee and toast. (We weren’t interested in cooking main meals; we enjoyed the local cuisine. ) The staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly. The layout, especially around the pool, allowed us to meet other guests and was good for socialising. The pool was well maintained and we spent a lot of time in there.
My mobility was limited due to a knee injury before we came to Barbados. I appreciated how close everything was to the Pirates Inn, including a supermarket and public transport.

I went there with a group for a swim meet. I must admit that the photos really does sell the place compared to what you actually get when you're on location. The place reminded me of a place that people go to for one night stands or a retirement home. The burglar bars and what should be a balcony has walls to the ceiling. The rooms needs updating and looks nothing like a photos. The front desk needs to take a few customer service classes. They are abrupt, and unhelpful. The only person there that had more than enough for everyone was the chef, and her breakfast was very delicious. She was very kind. Dispite the fact that it is located near so many aminities, I will not suggest this place to anyone. Id advise them that if they want value for their money, they should go else where.

Pirate's Inn has the world of potential but is in desperate need for some TLC, pretty run down on the outside, while the inside of the rooms can use a refresh, beds are generally comfortable with clear television sets that maybe too small for some, room 71 A. C unit should be thrown into the dump, but otherwise, Pirate's Inn would be the perfect destination for children's parties if they allow you to rent the entire property, lighting around the pool area is desperately needed, if you are staying with young children who like to run around, please keep an eye on them at all times when awake as the pool is very accessible and deep, my biggest disappointment is that frontdesk runs like an office, closing at 4:30pm leaving basic front desk services unavailable until the next day, at least security is usually present to assist with incoming visitors or other after hours queries.

I came across this property by happenstance. Was looking around the area at another hotel and saw this one on the map. It was a lucky find. From our arrival to departure four days later, it was a perfect holiday. The entire staff, from front desk, housekeeping and the security guard were friendly and helpful. The coffee was very good as was breakfast, served with a big smile. The pool area had plenty of loungers, umbrellas, and was very clean. The best part was our room. It was large and plenty of room for two. It had a kitchenette, walk-in closet, clean bathroom, TV, comfy chair and bed, a balcony overlooking the pool and AC. It's only 2 floors, so getting to the room up the stairs was very easy.
The location was perfect for us. Just a few minutes walk to the Boardwalk, the ocean breezes and beach. Close to restaurants, bars, and a mini-market.
For a first time visit to Barbados, we enjoyed ourselves relaxing and catching the island vibe. We'll be back.

We went for mother's day. We had a nice quiet time. Th ambience was nice. The food was excellent food, potions big. The pie was cheesy just the way I like it. Good service. Good location near to public transportation. Easy to find. Would recommend.

We took our mom here for lunch on Mother’s Day, admittedly it wasn’t our first choice but started too late in finding a restaurant and everything was fully booked.
Our lunch was lovely and tasty and our entree was delivered by the Chef. Our drinks were nice and our waitress was very attentive and kind. Our table collectively agreed that this was exactly what we needed, a quiet space with warm faces and not the loudness and harassed faces of a busy restaurant space. Everything was lovely including the music. My mom was happy and so were we. Thank you.

Im not one for writing negative reviews but our room no73 was awful the bed sheets were yellow and had to be changed admittedly the rest of the room was not so easily fixed, the hotel was apparently full so we couldn't move untill the forth day we were only staying for five days so wasn't worth moving anyway ive posted some photos of the room and leave it upto others to decide what they think and whether the owners think it was worth the full payment.

The areas is nice and not just for turists. We also stayed a few nights at St Lawrence gap, which is a 100% touristic place. Next visit I would be back at Pirates inn.
Friendly and relaxed place with a nice swimming pool.

We wanted a small apartment style place with a pool and this was just right. The room was spotlessly cleaned each day with towels changed on request. The kitchen facilities were fine and the pool was cleaned daily. A short walk to the beach, restaurants and bus stop, we would definitely recommend.

We stayed here for two nights before our cruise and one night after and were well pleased. As others have said, it’s a small hotel not on the beach but very close. It was very clean and well maintained. The front desk staff were great and very responsive when I emailed them. They also arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport for our late evening arrival. We stayed in a balcony room first and a regular room on the return. Both were comfortable. We especially appreciated the walk in showers. While we didn’t use the pool, it was well kept, like the rest of the facility. We felt very safe here with a gated entry and someone there at night. There re excellent restaurants in walking distance, too! We would stay here again.

We thought this was an excellent little place to stay. It is very conveniently located. The staff are truly what make this place. They are so warm and welcoming as well as helpful. They let us keep our bags for the afternoon there after check out as our next place wasn’t ready, which allowed us to hit the beach! We would come back to stay :)

Lovely friendly team really looked after us, so warm and welcoming. Nothing too much trouble. Rooms simple but kept very clean, pool deck lovely, lots of shade in the afternoon (perfect after a day on a hot beach). Excellent breakfasts. Also a very safe, gated environment. Close to boardwalk and mini mall.
