The food was boring looking but tasty. The band syndicate was very good.

This place is very exciting and the live music was excellent I would personally advise folks to go and check it out.

Never stayed here, but we always enjoy grabbing dinner at the Palm when we're in the gap. Great atmosphere, they often have entertainment (like some steel drums professionals).

Love this place. Staff are very helpful, rooms very clean and located in a beautiful setting right on a sandy not crowded beach.

Nice spot. The rooms are a little dated, but clean. The grounds are nicely appointed and well maintained. Be aware that there are limited number of beach chairs, and no umbrellas. Nice beach though.

Nice relaxing dinner. Had a salad. Was delicious. Ceasar with Smoked Chicken. Appetizers was amazing.

Actually I wanted to enjoy in my beloved, not perfect, rather dingy palm Garden hotel and there part of my this year's vacation in Barbados. But there was a sewage problem in the area and everything smelled of feces. Our friend on the island was so free and then rebooked us to the better hotel — without asking me and not at my expense. At first, I found myself slightly eaten up with the new environment and there was not really anything to complain about. Anyway, I didn't find anything.
The Southern Palms Hotel is located right on Dover Beach. The reception was prepared for us and extremely friendly. Our room with sea view on the first floor was large and with balcony. The first rum punch did not exist at the Chrystal Waters Beach Club but at the Southern Palms Beach Club — also good and just as perfect in taste as usual. The breakfast the next day cost us $30 and that I can not fuddern away at the greatest hunger. No matter, across the street there is breakfast for $10 and it wasn't worse. WLAN is free of charge, the connection is not so doll. Parking is available directly at the house. The rooms, the whole resort, the beach, everything is very clean. All the staff is very friendly, the guest here is the king. The bed was large, more comfortable than my own home. The coffee machine was missing, so I bought one in the hardware shop. I had concealed the "good Markus Aldi coffee" in luggage and on entry. :-)

Well appointed rooms. Hotel in great situation right on the beach. Grounds beautifully kept. However restaurant rather expensive.

We have been returning to Southern Palms for our annual winter getaway for 9 years. The people here are so friendly and personally welcome us back every year.

The Redmen, Country and West Indian, band is unique and lighly enjoyable Monday nights 8 — 11.

Lovely property, needs upgrading but rooms are clean, plenty of hot water, friendly helpful staff. Situated on one of the most beautiful beaches. No childrends pool, sea to rough for kids. Turtles spotted every day.

Birthday celebration. Lovely lunch. Steel band played happy birthday. We were so surprised and touched.

Very central and lively, bars and resreraunts on the doorstep and local shops near by. But don't worry the hotel itself is quiet, so after all those beers and cocktails and maybe a bit of bbq chicken or fresh fish etc you are guaranteed a good night's sleep.

Fantastic resort. BUT the staff and service is more than bad.

Must have been good in its heyday but now needs a major refurbishment. Fab location though right on the beach!

Always stay here. Hotel and beach are beautiful. Staff are amazing and friendly. There's no place like it.

Nice hotel enjoyed my stay for 7 nights in 2013… Funny the white staff were more friendly than the black being black u see my deilima they were rude except for the pool guy his cool… location was fantastic right up the beach which was just AMAZING really beautiful best beach ever. Food was not the best and expensive that may tax as food is generally expensive in Barbados not far from town and a good location for nightlife. Rooms are big and clean self contained, the cleaners were very friendly but again that Rihanna wanna be receptionist RUDE. Over all OK.

The whole property would benefit from a little renovation. But it’s a nice place to stay, though. Our room was clean, the staff was friendly and very helpful. But the hotel’s best feature is the beach. OK, it’s not exactly a feature of the hotel itself because all beaches in Barbados are public beaches. But compared to the some of the island’s rather small and crowded west coast beaches, this one is huge. During our stay it was far less crowded than other some beaches we saw. And it has palm trees – so this beach felt much more “Caribbean” than the beach in our second hotel on the west coast.

Nice hotel, service is great. Best beach ever. The Wi-Fi, though, is not good. Very unstable and poor on signal.

For $65 Bds I was served an inferior poor lighted dinner the 4 pieces of shrimp was over cook and the mahi mahi was like leather.
