Simply fabulous! Ambiance, cuisine, it’s all fabulous! The tours whether wine tasting or the famous tour on how cigars are hand made, as well as the rolling of the cigar itself after you are shown, I thoroughly enjoyed to the fullest.

Had dinner at Graycliff last night. The head waiter was miserable, but the assistants were all amazing, as was the man who gave us a tour of the wine cellar. The vegan option meal they brought to the table was nothing but a plate of tasteless sadness as which you can see by the picture. I’ve been going to Graycliff for twenty years and last night was the last. Do not recommend. Graycliff you are not the majestical place that you once were and time to turn your head to 2020 and know that lacklustre plate of plain steamed vegetables and a slice of polenta should not have been prepared by your chef, let alone served to a customer.

Beautiful old Plantation home with an old school service atmosphere. Servers were very knowledgeable and so friendly. The wine cellar was incredible to tour!

We had the opportunity to experience the Chef’s Table lunch. What an awesome afternoon it was. From the moment we arrived we were met with smiles, gracious service, beautiful grounds, and oh, AMAZING FOOD!

Dreamlike atmosphere, the food sublime and the staff were friendly and hospitable everything perfect if you want to enter into a dimension out of the ordinary I recommend it to all of are no words for the magic that is here… ❤️

My wife and I enjoyed drinks and dinner very much. The surroundings, in and out, are steeped in an old world tradition that affects the overall experience and situates itself deep in the memory. For a 5 star restaurant, I expected more for much less! Portions were very small and of average quality. Wine list is extensive but expect to pay 4 times of what you'd pay back home. Very attentive staff but the food quality falls way short. Save your $.

We only joined the bar. But two days in a row. The atmosphere is awesome, the stuff friendly and attentive. You can smoke your own cigar or let it roll fresh from the Torcedor. And the piano player is the best.

This historic hotel has a leafy pool in the back plus a cigar museum/factory. Definitely worth checking out when in Nassau.

Absolutely the worst service I have experienced, from fast food to five star locations. My wife and I went for a fifth anniversary celebration. She had looked forward to going for over a month. Once seated, we had to ask for a wine menu multiple times. In the first hour we had been served four small pieces of bread, although the waiter was not happy when we asked for more bread, and a glass of wine. We were disappointed and asked for our drink bill so we could go leave, The waiter brought the bill, with no apology. When I paid ($65 for one cocktail and one glass of wine) he mumbled sorry about the mix up, without even making eye contact. When leaving, I related our experience to the owner. While he looked shocked, no apology was offered. The doorman who waived us a cab gave us a very nice apology. He should be given a raise, and the rest of the staff should take lessons from him. Don't waste your time with this pretentious, "five star" establishment.

The Graycliff is an unique hotel in the Bahamas. One of the largest wine collections definitely in that area and maybe in the southeast. It is a well-preserved Cellar worth your visiting. The food in the restaurant is outstanding for the Bahamas and I highly recommend you visiting it if you go anywhere near there.

It’s not just a great restaurant, it’s an experience. Step back into the ‘50s with pre-dinner cocktails in the lounge listening to talented crooners with a Billie Holliday sound. Then enjoy a great menu in the dining room or on the terrace. End the evening back in the lounge with a drink and a great locally rolled cigar. All with friendly and attentive staff makes for a memorable evening!

Amazing dining experience in the wine cellar. Beautiful live jazz music, great food and cocktails. Very upscale, quite costly but worth it. It really is a heritage place built by the pirates and also in connection with historical figures like Al Capone.

The history, the charm, the staff, the menu, the food, the ambience, was one of the best experiences I’ve had dining out. Loved being seated in the parlor to sip a cocktail — while listening to the beautiful piano music — waiting to be seated at our table. A wonderful dining experience from beginning to end!

Attended the happy hour in the winery across the road from the hotel. An excellent selection of wine, made from imported grape juice from around the world. On Fridays between 5pm and 8pm it is $20 to drink as much as you like! And a live band as well. If you get peckish, you can order a pizza from across the road.

The first 5 * opened in the Bahamas, it is also a historic building in the quarter of old Nassau: The stars of the years 50 and 60 followed each other here, Wallis Simpson swam in the superb pool with mosaic background implanted in flower gardens. The ambience is hushed, elegant Caribbean style, and warm. The rooms are colonial but floral in style, which lightens the whole. Great comfort. Sleeping here allows you to feel a bit of the history of the archipelago (and the entire region). The hotel offers the most beautiful wine cellar in the Bahamas, and you can visit on demand the Cigar factory in which a team works every day. Excellent Restaurant rated 5 * (Don't miss the traditional eggs benedicte at breakfast). The whole has a crazy charm, a few hundred meters walk to the city center.

Always love a Brazilian meat restaurant. The grilled pineapple though is still my favorite! If you can take a walk through the back garden at night. With the lights on it looks magical.

I only went to check out the cigar collection and found out from my native friend they were giving me "tourist prices, " more than double what he paid. Went back with him and got a much better deal. The quality is there, but that's a little shady.

We went for dinner with my wife where we visited Nassau. Excellent food and excellent service. Beautiful interior of the house and lush garden. Expensive but in our opinion the culinary experience is worth the price. We highly recommend for romantic dinner.

The food was only nice. The price was way over the top… the most impressive thing about this place is the wine list. Unreal. Over 20, 000 bottles of wine in the cellar. The wine list is like an encyclopedia. And you can walk the cellar too and get a guide to tell you about the wines. The gardens are beautiful too. Nice walk before mark course is nice and a walk later on too.

I've been here many times and always enjoy myself. I would recommend this place to anyone. For food, atmosphere or cigars. All available in different or the same section. (In case your not a smoker)

My husband and I frequently dine at Greycliff. It is truly the finest five star fine dining restaurant in all of Nassau and I fall in love with it everytime I climb the stairs to the mansion to enter. The staff is always so pleased to see you. If you get the chance have a pre — dinner drink in the lounge before going to your table, it will take you back in time listening to such talented piano players. Their extensive menu will make it difficult to choose (their steaks are fabulous). They have one of the most impressive wine cellars I have ever seen… so many wines to choose from. If you are looking for "that extra special" evening, than this is the place! We are proud to call Nassau home and proud to show off some of our favorite places to family and guests who visit and Greycliff is always on our list. From the moment you walk up the front stairs taking in the beauty of the architect to sitting in the piano bar room then being sat in their beautiful dining room then back to the piano bar is just an amazing experience. You can expect a very gracious greeting in their foyer, prompt and professional all the way. We must have had at least 5 different employees waiting on any of our needs making sure our entire visit is as amazing as they can. Rebate for us. If you can afford this level of pricing, it’s a must experience. Food is amazing, the history of the restaurant is rich in such a Bahamian way.
We will be back for sure.

I went here for my birthday dinner in september the food was not bad. Howerver; I had a higher expectations which is why I only gave them a 3. Below is a photo of my main course.

We had dinner and took a couple of tours at Graycliff. The dinner, wine, and service was above excellence. We cannot give high enough praise for their excellence. Graycliff's dining environment and service is elegant, charming, and polished. Enjoy a talented pianoist while you done, excellent wine recommendes by a knowledge hand, and the best food the island has to offer! Don't forget to ask for the free wine cellar tour after dinner. It's worth the extra five to ten minutes!

A quite peacefilled retreat in paradise. Waste the day at the pool. Enjoy the dinner options and grab a and rolled cigar. This is really living.

In the residential neighborhood. 5 star dining with great service. Make it an event and visit the chocolate factory, cigar rolling and gift shop and when dining in, ask for a tour of the 3rd largest private wine cellar. Roughly 300$ average dinner per couple. Worth it. First five star restaurant on the island.

As an official Google Local Guide, the food here is out-of-this-world tasty and I'm not afraid to say it. Graycliff has the best food I have ever eaten — all courses included. Everything is fresh, local, and top-notch. The only thing keeping my score from hitting a perfect 5/5 star rating is the fact that flies occasionally make their way in.

This place is awesome! We did the wine luncheon and our guide, Mike, and our host, Karen were amazing! Food, service, ambiance… this place hits it all on the highest level! There is a reason they have so many awards. Also, the rack in the cellar that holds their aged first growths is awe inspiring! Many reasons to come to The Bahamas, but this place is top on my list of why to return!

Did not know what to expect and walked out having unbelievable food and service. One of the top wine selections in the world. Would recommend for anyone's bucket list. We recommend this restaurant for anyone searching for a unique experience. Definitely do not miss this experience.

Did not eat or stay but the grounds are absolutely beautiful, restaurant is up scale and the staff are all friendly and very informative. I did a walk though of the multiple restaurants and grounds. A staff member had suggested it when we were across the street for the Graycliff museum and it sounded better than walking the street to get to the pizzeria and chocolatier on the grounds. Will be back to eat for sure to the restaurant.

Terrible! Hotel room furniture including bedding is very old and the room had a funny smell to it. I have a dust allergy and ended up sick my entire stay. Restaurant super noisy with guests singing karaoke until midnight. Hotel staff not helpful when we complained and offered no compensation (breakfast or drinks) whatsoever!

A experience to be remembered. The building is fantastic. Be sure to tour the gardens and wine cellar. Food is good if not great, the salad bar, my weakness is fantastic. Save room for the meat selection. I found the service very adequate. To bad some people did not have the same experience. We have been there three times and would recommend it. A very old world, upscale dining experience. Perfection is not always the sign of a fun evening.

Beautiful accommodations, lovely & attentive staff, fabulous restaurant. The bathroom in our suite was fabulous but so was the entire suite. Nassau at its finest, we had a wonderful stay!

Grey cliff is a legend, returning after thirty years. What we have celebrated. And Jean Connery or Mick Jagger were just around the corner. When we came back, it was seemingly, as time seems to stand still. Twenty years older, but maybe the Patina due to wanted. The Sofa by the sat, the skirt of the Receptionist spilled and, like you, from the time. We were the first guests, the rush would be sure to start, he began but. From the corners of the eye, the Toilets were astonished, not patinated, but scruffy and dirty. The prices of the Cocktails, the signaled highest quality, the menu, yellowed and spotting that has not been changed for years. As we wanted to go for a Drink in the dining room, was the yawningly empty. After we were set, took pity three more guests, a young man and two little chic ladies. Since the request for the wine list remained unheard, we took bottled water and beer. The first course sticky Anything with black beans. A red Relish was served, no doubt, from the super market. What — for God's sake — is the award-winning grey cliff, Nassau, Bahamas, los? Mick and Jean no longer need to have your reasons to look over, as, indeed, almost no one liked. Second course Pasta for my companion. A whole mountain of it was worn and a few meters of us — parked.

The food was overrated and overpriced. The servers were satisfactory. The suite was quite nice.

I've been to numerous Brazilian steak restaurants and I can honestly say this was my least favourite. First off, the selection of appetizers was limited at best and of mediocre quality. The main attraction is of course the meats. This was a very disappointing experience. The quality of the meats were decent, but nothing stood out as very good. The seasoning and flavours were no better than what you'd expect at a Ponderosa restaurant. The service was down right rotten, even by Bahamian standards. My friend ordered a beer. That should be a simple request at ANY restaurant. However, at his place you might as well ask for the keys to Fort Knox. It took 2 HOURS and MULTIPLE requests to get the beer. Admittedly, they did comp us a bucket of THREE beers for the delay. Did you notice I said 2 hours? The staff basically ignored us the entire evening. In similar restaurants, there is constant flow of servers bringing you different meats. You barely finish one taste and an other one is there for you to taste. Not at his place. Typical waiting time between samples was 15-20 minutes! They started to clear our plates and then the barbequed pineapple appeared. My friend and I had been waiting all evening for this as were many other people at our very large table. We quickly grabbed some new plates before the server disappeared and enjoyed the pineapple. Desserts are also limited, but not bad. The only redeeming quality about this place, is the location.

This review applies only to the restaurant, we did not stay at the hotel. My wife and I ate at Graycliff on a recent trip to the Bahamas. The atmosphere was nice. The house was really cool to look at, and they had a live singer and piano player the night we were there, which was great. The staff was also very polite and attentive. We started with a couple of drinks (their signature champagne cocktail and a couple of mojitos). They were mediocre, and turned out to be extremely expensive. We shared an appetizer with a few different kinds of shellfish in a cream sauce that was pretty good. My wife had a salad and I had a bowl of lobster bisque that were both pretty good as well. My wife had duck for dinner with a side of vegetables. She said the duck was really tasty, but the vegetables were bland. I had the steak au poivre and a side of polenta with bleu cheese. The steak itself was good, and it was cooked well. It was small though, and the 'au poivre' sauce was not good at all. It tasted like the gravy they put over salisbury steak in a school cafeteria. The polenta was lukewarm when they brought it to the table, and completely bland. It was plain polenta with bleu cheese sitting on top. We tried two different flavors of their souffle for dessert, and they were both fairly good. The meal was quite expensive, and our overall feeling was that, while the meal wasn't bad, it wasn't worth what we paid for it.

This is a fabulous place. I was last year. The restaurant has great food and the staff is very polite. I also chose this hotel. The rooms are really nice. I'll be back surely in this place! 5 stars, yes! :).
