Resort Sonne is exceptionally well located in the Vorarlberg region for some wellness, hiking, biking or panoramic trails! A lttle village with a cablecar up the mountains within walking distance makes trips easy to plan and everything super accessible. The resort itself definitely deserves the four star rating with its food and wine selection, nice interior design, spa facilities and the very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are big, well furbished and very clean, Wi-Fi everywhere, snacks and drinks are available for free in the spa and lobby. But you might not need snacking around because the breakfast and lunch buffet is plentyful and fresh, with excellent 6-course dinners. Although it's a bit pricey, you definitely get what you pay for!

The rooms are very nice and modern, the service friendly and helpful. The food is good, the spa is clean.
Deductions at the waiting times. At half-full restaurant in the evening we waited 25 minutes after clearing the soup plates until the main dish was served. Then again just under 20 minutes until the dessert came. For choosing from only 3 different menus: far too long!

"Children are undesirable in our house" — unbelievable that this can be the guiding principle of such a demanding hotel. After a successful concert in the parish church of Mellau we wanted to be a group of around 10 singers in the hotel Sonne which was little food and drink. We had a 7-year-old child who had a calm and respectful attitude. The waitress greeted our child and the parents at the hotel with the phrase: "Children are undesirable in our house! "
As a group, we left this House immediately, the child cried! Is such a welcome the "tourism Concept" of the future? Will it be in the future that locals from the town and Vorarlberg can take their dogs to the hotel Sonne, but children have to stay outside and wait in front of the door?
After several mails and complaints I have not received any feedback! After legal scrutiny, there seems to be no possibility of initiating legal action!
Unbelievable — Help that these guiding principles and ideologies of more and more hotels — which live from the beauty of our country, in a country where the children are taken to the center — can no longer grow! If you book anyway, talk about it at the hotel!
Children should be welcome in every hotel in the gastronomy! Never a child in a hotel can be addressed in such a way! Our children are our future – also in the hotel Sonne in Mellau!

Located in the tranquil Mellau, the Sun Lifestyle Resort is the best choice for a first-class gourmet — and spa hotel. We were able to enjoy our time for two in the adult hotel – which is very pleasant in the wellness area and in the restaurant. The cordial staff has done the rest and does not designate themselves as "sun rays" for nothing…
The rooms are very spacious and clean. Lots of wood and old black and white pictures make it homely and cozy.
What you have to praise especially is the good food. Starting with a large breakfast buffet with many regional specialities (forest cheese, homemade baked goods, fresh fruit and and and) over the late lunch (from 2-4 there are vital salads, hot dishes, coffee and cakes; a great time to relax after a To strengthen the company or to enjoy only a piece of cake) to a more than first-Class 6-course dinner menu, which is not to be topped. Finally, we have the evening in the bar, which offers an excellent selection of drinks and cocktails at reasonable prices.
We can only recommend the sun and say thank you to the hostess and your team!

Warm Panaché as a welcome drink, a hotel hallway daily for hours full of cleaning trucks, a room that is only cleaned in the late afternoon, no towels to find in the wellness, dirty wine glasses, no bar during daytime, dishes and glasses that are not out of the room removed, no room service, always the same Buffett in the morning, noon and evening the salad, twice a TV remote which does not work, 50. — Euro surcharge for New Year's Eve, but not stuck in the food, but in fireworks… etc. Etc.

Everything perfect… The breakfast buffet wonderful. The dinner leaves nothing to be desired… something for everyone… Vegi. Fish. Meat… great wine list… the wellness area super clean… generously laid out… in addition a sauna house and in front of it an outdoor whirlpool with warm water… the pool is super heated so that you can swim outside… warm enough even in the outdoor area… with colour therapy… times red. Times green. Sometimes violet… one dives into the colours… superb… outside on the edge of the snow… also the rooms are very tastefully decorated… great wooden floor. Warm reds… I immediately felt comfortable… the bathroom is state-of-the-art. There is nothing missing… very fluffy bathrobes… superb…

BeautifulLy I found the Christmas party with house music. Presented by the boss, boss and daughter. That was very consistent… It's Christmas. At the reception there is a plate of homemade biscuits… it is so nice that we have extended our stay by one day, because we want to enjoy the great hotel for another day… for me a beautiful feel-good hotel… and the Bregenzerwald my absolute favorite region… Tradition and modernity form a unique symbiosis here.

Very friendly staff. The Wellness area is okay. The water is slightly too cold. A relaxation area there is only in the Nude area. The rooms are positively set up woody. Design goes before the practical use. The hair dryer is a gentle breeze. Shelves for Shampoo and towel missing in the spacious shower. Separate toilet. The food is okay. Breakfast is very good. The Late Lunch reads very extensive and the dinner menu better than it is in reality. Good and attractive wine list. Overall, to recommend. Beautiful the children are only allowed from 14 "". To feel particularly quiet holiday in the school. Price performance is just met. But it is still air upward. As we know, just new to us, stronger hair dryers have been ordered have.
