Rooms are small but beside that everything including the services, the bar and the location is fine.

For the price of a great hotel. Located well, breakfasts are good, beds are comfortable. However, the pillows are not very, and the interior is good to update.

Nice hotel, charming, nice staff, great bar with amazing cocktails, but small rooms and mainly : noise from the street and no air con (it was more than 30 degrees outside so the room was pretty hot (van in the room)! Avoid this place in summer time). Breakfast very good, variety and gluten free bread available if you ask the day before (the reception should advise the clients upon arrival). Situation: in a busy shopping area (hotel in small street aside, still a bit noisy though), super close to subway.

Excellent and discreet service. Walking distance from the main shopping street. I loved the privacy, clean bathroom and the comfortable bed.

The hotel is located near Mariahilfer Strasse, a pedestrian street, where there are many shops and small cute cafes. The nearest metro station Zieglergasse is a five minute walk from where one stop to the station and two to the museum quarter.
24-hour reception. The staff is polite, professional.
Good breakfasts in the interesting bar area.

Breakfast room too small. Repeated annoyances (plumbing Pb, noises…) I'll avoid going back.

Clean and nice hotel not far from the city center and close to Ziegerglasse metro station.

Lovely classic old hotel. Super friendly and helpful staff. Carpet/furnishings are a bit worn but the room was clean. Bar was a bit overpriced and does not serve food, just drinks. Would stay again!

Nice historic hotel! Very convinient place. 30 seconds to shop. 1 minute to U-Bahn (Metro). Good price.

Very friendly staff, the room was small but very quiet, clean and very well furnished. I especially liked the hotel set: Small manicure set and cosmetic set. The beds are very comfortable. There is a parking garage near the hotel. You buy a card at the hotel for the price 18 euro. That goes for 24 hours.

This is great hotel. It's not a pricy one and it has showed to be a great experience. The rooms are big and the location possibly couldn't be better. The internet works perfectly and it's a very clean place. Finally, I couldn't say much about the breakfast because we didn't have it added to our stay.

The other day I had the pleasure of visiting the Barfly in the Hotel Fürst Metternich. We did not find the departure at the same time, but a very friendly receptionist showed us the way. The service in the bar was just as great as the drinks themselves. Here you can still understand the bartender craft! Absolute recommendation.

Overall the hotel was neat and bed was excellent. What bothered me was that on two mornings I could smell breakfast on our third floor room. Hallway noise can also be heard quite clearly, especially when children of neighboring rooms were playing piano next to our bed wall.

Nice hotel with the old architecture still present. Not so warm in the winter. Near to the subway station, direct line to the city center. Great breakfast!

Good location and decent rooms, but be early for the breakfast! There is very few tables compared to the size of the hotel.

Dreadful old-fashioned hotel, lounge is like someones lounge at home, bar far too dark to use, needs some lights on. Overpriced. Air-conditioning was. A large standing fan.

Good for a quick visit. No airconditioning. Tough throughout warmer days.

The building is old and impressive inside and outside. The rooms are not so good, pretty old and not clean enough. Don't miss the whisky bar, one of the best in town!

Great location. Underground really easy to use for airport and train station. Don't let the taxi rip you off. This hotel is 2 stops from westbahnoff train station.
The staff were good and very helpful as was the lady at breakfast.
The breakfast selection was limited. Cornflake style or toast and yogurt. There was warm sloppy scrambled egg and something that resembled a sausage.
Overall I would stay again but give breakfast a miss. Ask for street facing room ours was amazing.

Ich werde nicht mehr im Hotel kommen und übernachten. Das ist eine große Katastrophe in Wien. Im Zimmer war verdampft heiß und fließt keine frische Luft. Im Sommer gibt es keine Klimaanlage und kein Ventilator im Zimmer. Ich muss quasi im 30 grad schlafen. Wenn zimmer heiß ist muss ich Fenster aufmachen. Dann hab ich nerviges geräusch von anderen zimmern in ganzer Nacht gehört. Dies Hotelqualität muss undedingt plötzlich verbessert werden. Wählen Sie lieber anderes Hotel. Dies Hotel lohnt sich nicht zu zahlen. Das ist mein großer Fehler, der ich dieses Hotel ausgewählt hab For Traveller, you must not stay here. I think it is better to another place or even better to stay at U-bahn for whole night instead of wasting your money for this hotel. Actually, this hotel is quite cheap but the thing is the utilties are cheaper and the quility of this hotel is cheapest. Imagine that you are here in Vienna for vocation, it is almost 4 o'clock in the morning and you still awake! It seems like staying in hostel, sharing the room with a ton of strangers. Moreover, now it is approximately 36 degree in Vienna and this hotel does not provide anything such as air condition, fan. Yes, even fan is not be here. Thus, it is just like I stay in the hell for these three nights. Second, because of the damn heat in the room, I have to open the window to get some air.

NOT recommended for hot summer, as NO aircon is avaiable. There is no air exchang in the room, although with open window, super hot inside.

I'm coming March fly to Vienna for the tenth time and of which spend the ninth stay at the Fürst Metternich. This hotel is traditional and just terrific. Thanks to normal House facade, it is visible from the outside at first glance not as a 3-star hotel. Inside but it exudes a charm that no longer has released at least me. The staff is super nice, the room clean and good size depending on the category. For me, typical Viennese flair. Breakfast is priced while riding steep with €13 apiece (a person can not have breakfast so much), but the selection is great and it's good (and for my personal happiness there Meinl tea silách). The location could be little better. The road up is the Mariahilfer Straße and there are no two minutes walk to the Metro station. From there you go ratzfatz anywhere. This hotel is lacking nothing in one and I am looking forward again to spend my holidays there. Conclusion: absolutely recommendable.

The hotel is located near the center. From the station of the Express train reached it on foot through the centre of Vienna. Excellent location for exploring the centre of the city! The hotel is very old.

Hotel is located in the heart of city center. Fantastic location and good support staff.

The hotel makes a really clean impression and also the room offers facilities more than adequate for the price. Only the staff was sometimes slightly unfriendly. But for that the hotel can do anything.

NEGATIVE AT ALL: I reserved a suite for three nights. When I arrived I had found just a triple room at the same price of the suite. All the receptionists put the excuse that they were new and so they cannot do anything, so I had tried to talk with the hotel director for four days without success (he was unreachable even at the cell phone as they said). Probably the director of this hotel is just an entity and it is not a real person. At the end they made me the charity with a discount of ten euros for day. Absolutely intolerable.
