This is a review for the Stasta Restaurant only, not the hotel.
Dinner for two. On a Thursday night and it was rather full.
Near us a table of 10 people were making conversation difficult.
We both had classic Viennese dishes and they were delicious: I had veal schnitzel and my friend had Tafelspitz with a side of spinach cream. Both were juicy, tender and high quality.
We were served without ordering / on the house (as it is customary in restaurants of the more elevated kind) sourdough bread and aromatic butter as well as olive oil.
The place shows attention to details in things such as wall furnishing (hard wood beautifully sculpted), dishware, lighting (dim enough for dinner and a small gas candle on the table), comfortable and modern furniture which add up to a cozy yet elegant look and feel.
However, it has the same problem as many other restaurants: Nears us a table of 10 people young and old was placed (probably hotel guests? ) which made the level of noise unpleasant. Had it not been for this issue, the dining experience would have been much more pleasant, but I guess more people is more business…
Another thing I did not appreciate especially considering the attention to detail this restaurant has demonstrated was the tea. I ordered chamomile tea and it came as a packaged tea bag and not infused. Which means that by the time it got to my table, the water was colder and not suitable for tea brewing which should be done with boiling water.

Best Wienerschnitzel I ever had, I have no idea how they make it so good. Lava cake after was also great. It is a bit far from city center but worth it.

Food is all so so good. As is the service, without being over-the-top. Nice traditional local fare but everything with some interesting angle. Top marks, Stasta.
