Food is outstanding!
Unfortunately, the staff is currently understaffed, sometimes overwhelmed and you notice the displeasure! New bar is very nice! Unfortunately, no bartender who has a clue. What a pity! But maybe it will get better over time!

The junior suite is fantastic, enchanting views, exquisite breakfast buffet, seasonal down-to-earth cuisine are rounded off by a stylish relaxing spa area.
We are looking forward to our next romantic weekend in the first house on the square!

I was in the Golden Ox for the first time five years ago, by the recommendation of a friend.
This holiday has become a tradition to this day.
The rooms are really very nice and the food especially good.
You are received so kindly and if you have a problem, you will be helped immediately.
Whether it's shopping, restaurant or leisure activities.
We can also recommend the wellness area if you want to let yourself go really well.
I'm really looking forward to the next time!

elegant hotel with excellent breakfast buffet. The wellness area invites you to relax, swim, sauna etc. We have been to this hotel a few times and like to come again and again.

Ordered an edelweiss before eating, but only get 10 min after the meal. Food should be better for the price.

Nice hotel near the center of Bad Ischl. We liked it very much here. Breakfast was very good and there was something for every taste. Also the dinner in the restaurant was very good.

A bit old fashioned, but clean and with a nice breakfast. Great spa as well!

A very pleasant ambience awaited us. And here there is also a small dinner, in our case soup and then asparagus and a dessert for well — € 19, 50! Perfectly sufficient. We like to come back here.

Another visit on Sunday. Today it made the weather to sit outdoors at the Traun. Again excellent ly eaten, we 4 were very satisfied.

Hotel deserves 4 stars the restaurant 2 stars please the House lasagna is a Wietz got it today Gegesen 8. €80 for NE Lasagna which is not gröser as a small cake piece I guess between 4 and 5 cm long and 4 cm thick and in height 2, 5 cm So the fählt her really small and it is not now the taste bomb so I have not been saturated and I do not think I am the only one for me is the price not gerechtferdickt.

A bit confusing, several rooms. Bright, clean, food good, prices however a bit high. Staff works hard but also somewhat overwhelmed. Waiting for the food a little long, patience required.

Excellent Breakfast — Good dinner menu and big rooms (some with balcony) — good free Wi-Fi — Good Service at guest restaurant (only unfriendly service at the non-guest/public restaurant) — overall recommended.

Outstanding restaurant! We had a dinner on Friday night. Delicious food, great presentation, friendly staff. Menu with a wide range of dishes, available in English. Traditional restaurant though with the best style Austria can offer. We were surprised with reasonable prices and set menus, unlike in Vienna and some other near by towns. Must visit! Well done to the team.

Great location in the centre of Bad Ischl, very good and typical food and reasonable prices.

Spacious rooms, solid beds. Nice spa with actual local source water. Breakfast is more than adequate, lots to choose from, and fresh. Restaurant service might be a bit more enthousiastic.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Unfortunately the food was a disaster. Our mushroom dish was so salty that eating it was a struggle. The other dish was deer which was better but also had a bit too much salt. Overall, very disappointed by the food. Cannot recommend and would not go back unless it's for drinks at the river.

Quiet atmosphere, salad buffet fro, dessert, nothing exceptional, but very good meal, the service was no more as 4 waitress different, otherwise overall not too bad.
