Unfortunately, we have relied blindly on experiences from previous visits, in the expectation of maintaining the usual quality in this restaurant. That was a big mistake! All dishes served were either cold, horrible or, like the dessert, old and dried out. Never before has an Austrian innkeeper allowed himself such naughtiness towards us. I withdraw the awarding point because it distorts a genuine assessment.

Have visited the Jägerwirt with my family today. The staff were very unkind. The waitress spilled my soda lemon, at the table, and didn't even come up with the idea of endful or end guilt. Wwiping it away. An order was placed on a barbecue plate. I expected at least 3 different meats. I got a plate of fries, lots of roasted onions and underneath they hid 3 really very small chicken fillets. I didn't actually want to award a star for this inn. But since I can't give a rating otherwise, they get 1 star from me. With the note that they don't even deserve this one.

Too bad you have to forgive a Star. Pretty much the most disgusting local I've ever eaten in. (Or tried)

Awful, room well okay, the blonde women from the staff all 3 bad, have no idea of gastronomy (but are the owners) eat ice cold, taste-neutral, not fresh and 1h waiting. Never again.

Very unfriendly staff drinks are popped on the table food lasts forever never again to Jägerwirt! In the evening we went to the ox-host, there it was fantastic!

So I never see them again. Incomprehensible. The restaurant is a real tourist trap. You'd have to warn people. I am very sad because I used to be there a few times every year and each time it was a highlight of our Mariazell excursion.

Pricey, low quality and in addition the Venison stew was really a beef stew. Selling deer and serving beef.

Perfect location right on the main square! Was once a top address, but unfortunately there is nothing left of it!

Untrained and unfriendly staff. Food from the can. At least the salad and the sauces. This inn is not recommended. A pure tourist trap.

The Gasthof level is adequate to the price. We were very pleased. The room was clean with view on main square and mountains. We could park our motorcycles with no fear on the back of the Gasthof. Breakfast was great.

Operating more or less ok. Quality of the food but unfortunately absolutely flawed. Consistently frozen finished product and canned food. And in rather high price class. Disappointing and unfortunately not recommended. What a pity!

Canned pur… Finished chips, ready-made salad, soup (with bread cubes as a "Deposit") … Yet the undeniable nausea comes to all quality defects after eating. Out of the question! especially for the price. 1 star because 0 is not.

06.08.2015 We were with 27 people for lunch. With application # the food was partly cold, the roast pork fat, the juice from the can. The Wildgulasch was zerkocht and the Tellerboden was just fat. The Wildsuppe was inedible, the pork was tough as leather, etc… It was the last Time that we have visited the hunting Lodge!

The JAGAWIRT once was the 1st House on the square in Mariazell and the people stood in front of the local snake.
Then the owner switched a few years ago and it went steeply downhill.
Soups and side dishes come only from the Tin and microwave oven.
The food are bad or at all seasoned and almost inedible.
The staff comes mainly from Hungary and mostly unfriendly.
After my family was a regular guest in this House for three generations, this is finally over.

Guest House made a somewhat down arrivals impression. We ordered a menu and a garlic and a schnitzel with potato salad. The first disappointment — potato salad isn't there. Then, the soup — came pumpkin soup — finished dish with bread cubes out of the bag, as well as with the garlic. As a main dish a natural steak with Chanterelles er sauce and dumplings — the juice artificially, maybe a half egg mushrooms on the plate. The dumplings tasted nothing. The schnitzel with parsley potatoes — salt potatoes with Trockenpetersielie. For dessert, there was a curd cheese strudel, reheated in the microwave — not for dinner. But the prices were proud. We paid for the "meal" with 2 large beer at least € 33, —.
After the meal was bad to us.
Bottom line — we no longer go on.

The individual dishes are overpriced. 13. — for the menu are also too high for the quality of the food. Tastes very close to ready meals. Very rustic furnishings and is also very worn out.
