Arrived at 9pm… front door locked (despite sign saying it’s open 07:00 to 23:00), noticed a map on the wall advising where the back door is if you arrived outside of these times.
Eventually found the back door, walked in to find nobody around, no bar, no restaurant… no-one. Eventually realised there was a note near reception advising they were closed and my key was just left out.
Caught a lift down into a basement, then had to catch a different lift to go up another floor… eerily quiet. Room was very basic. No tea and coffee making facilities.
No attempt had been made to contact me pre arrival so arrived tied and hungry and very disappointed.
Bed comfy.
Breakfast team very unfriendly. Food okay… typically Austrian, cold meats, cheese and fish.

We celebrated our wedding on July 9, 2022 at the Hotel Der Ederer and we and our guests were thrilled. Already during the preparation family Ederer was very helpful and the help very competent. During the entire wedding celebration, including agape in front of the Weizbergkirche, we were excellently entertained, looked after and spoiled with culinary delights. The value for money is unbeatable, the friendly and helpful staff was always there for the guests and us until the early hours of the morning, every wish was fulfilled. The Hotel Der Ederer can only be recommended by us as an excellent wedding location!

The Ederer Hotel is a very nice hotel in the Austrian town of Weiz. I was there for business for a couple of nights. The Hotel is located on a hill which boasts nice views of the surrounding hills.
The room is very spacious and clean, the bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast and dinner was nice with fresh bread and cold meats, fresh coffee and juices.
You do need a car to stay here, as it is not too close to the center of town.
There is a nice looking church next to the hotel, and also there is a pretty cool bar next door.
