Clean Rooms. Nice Reception. Bathroom is clean and tidy.
No Ventilation System and no Air Conditioning. In Summer, too warm in the Rooms. Rooms are very light hearing.
Hotel is therefore only restricted.

Gutes Stadt Hotel. Obwohl an einer belebten Strasser gelegen (Bushaltestelle direkt vor dem Hotel), ist es nachts ruhig. Hotel ist sauber, genug Ablagefläche für Kleidung und Kosmetik. Altstadt Salzburg ist leicht zu Fuß zu erreichen. Frühstück je nach Wunsch zwischen 6 und 15€ erhältlich.

Good location. I got a room at their satellite hotel which is just across the street. Only downside is that they didn't have a vending machine so it was difficult to get a cold drink at night. Eventually they opened the bar for me.

Horrible, I understand the low price (€51 in our case) but next time rather we sleep in the car.

Service is very nice, however one order only. And that's the 2nd time… 1, 5 hours a drink… that's it. Although the location, reception and furnishings are super.

That's nice. You can have a good breakfast, as a buffet is offered daily.

The location is perfect. There is parking for that thank you. The staff were very friendly and helpful. :) The rooms are basic but clean. The repair would not prevent. The hotel is an ordinary European Cesar with no idea.

I've been sleeping here one night only because I was on a school trip with my classmates: there's nothing bad to say at all, it's a beautiful location and a good hotel. The only flaws are the fact that it's divided into 2 different buildings (you have to cross the street to go to the restaurant if you're not in the principal one) and the fact that the water is super hot and you have to wait some time to let it get to the right temperature. I really liked to sleep here tho, the beds are the best thing, they're super comfy and soft.

Bad and commercially incorrect.

The worst accommodation in which I have been. Room very small and dark, carpet very dirty. The staff unpleasant. When we left we had to pay 18 euros more for parking and not that rate of sejur. Also a lot of street noise.

The rooms are clean, beds a bit noisy when moving. Sanitary facilities could still stand a new coat of paint — bathtub dissolves the last layer — silicone joints have also looked better. Staff Nice. Parking as well as I think 3 garage spaces available — cost €12 for the parking lot.

Careful they have two buildings. One is ok the other one is old and dirty.

For one night to stay in transit OK. So far clean. However, as in our case, you should not look at what is in the duvet cover.
The duvet contained in it looked anything but hygienic.

Very good for its location a few minutes from the center.

The room was very comfortable and the staff were very good and the bathroom was very modern. No power socket for charging the phone next to bed… you have to unplug the bedside lamp. Some TV channels are jammed. Parking is not reservable, although already guest. The price of the room is very good… and the mattress is also great.

We are just guests at your hotel!
There was a fire alarm, which may be true even if it is a false positive. Better a false alarm than injured or dead.
What is to be considered disastrous, however, are the following points!
No one reachable.
It is not checked whether the guests have gone from the rooms.
There is no fire protection door.
My control by fire brigade that just goes away again.
I feel rather uncertain now and I think that this is unworthy of the Salzburg Hotel industry after the conversation with the manager I want to correct the following!
The only person available at night must be concerned with the localization of the fire source and therefore cannot take care of other things!
Who made the smoke in the kitchen?
The fire protection doors only go into affected parts of the building!
That can make sense.
The fire brigade real quick on site and seems to have been sure that there is no other problem than the alarm in the kitchen area!
Anyway, it was promised to work on the communication problem!

Neutor hotel was pretty good overall. The location was superb, just 5 minutes walking from the city center and the room was decent. It could be a bit cleaner though.

Very bad and low quality hotel. They are cheating! There are two buildings, one might be a 4☆ hotel, but another one is just hostel, very bad and basic. And they are selling it like 4☆ hotel. We were very angry and we felt very frauded. The receptionist, Nataša, an arrogant Russian or Ucranian girl was very unsympathetic, she had thousand of stock excuses but didn't anything for us finally. She also refused to sign a paper where we wish to write complains. Never more! I can attach other photos as well.

It is a gamble whether you come to the better renovated rooms or the old dark rooms, I was unlucky and was in one of the darker and poorly renovated rooms. The room and lobby reeked of the fat from the Chinese side. The staircase looks dated and seems like the hotel does not want to invest a little money in renovating the older house. I personally find it a audacity for such a room to pay the same money as for one of the newer rooms. The appearance of this hotel is the rating of 4 stars in question! But one has to say, the beds are super comfortable.

In my opinion, it is THE worst hotel for what they are charging. Front desk are not nice nor friendly at all. Sometimes you would loose electricity at night than found out your phone was not charged at all or wake up in the dark couldn’t reach the phone. However, not everyone in the front desk are not friendly. There was one lady who’s very nice and helpful. The ONLY value of the hotel is location. I don’t think it’s worthy paying this much to stay here.

Functional, simple, clean in the center of Salzburg, Affordable, where is located and the prices that this city.

Bad experience! The room was very bad
Inadequate price at the level of the room and the services: does not exceed the two stars.
Missing: Air conditioning (replaced by a fan! ), minibar, services/accessories in the bathroom (shower mat, face towels etc. ), could not open the windows because the room would be easily accessible from the outside, Venetian blinds to Broken windows. The cleaning is insufficient, with a dirty carpet floor.
Booked a room with a double bed we were assigned one to two beds, rejecting the change.
Price indicated on the Internet lower than in fact requested.
The Reception staff lacks hospitality and the comments rudely responded.

Clean rooms and the hotel in good location.

The food was good and eating on the patio was nice. We ordered inside the cage and then they brought the food out too is on the patio by the street. It was nice.

4 stars on the map, high prices, but the rooms are dated and not clean. Carpet really very dirty.

The hotel rooms are old and you hear a lot of the noise from the street.

They lost my clothes in the laundry and they even did not recognize it. I have been emailing them for 10 days without any result. The quality of the rooms are really poor thinking on the prize you pay for them.

Best hotel we've visited!

Room was run down, had a worn out feeling. Location was good, walking distance of plenty of things to do.

Old decor and bad staff.

No four star place for me. The room we had needs definiely some maintainence. Wi-Fi didn't work in our room either. Money saved at the wrong place — at my and owners side.

Highly recommended nice Hotel – price ratio, fits perfectly. My husband and I have been there 2 nights spent and were extremely pleased with the beautiful room, even with all the pleasant atmosphere in the whole house seems to be inside newly renovated to be (unfortunately, it makes the outside a not so nice impression, but please don't be deterred). All staff were extremely helpful, nice and accommodating. Only the Breakfast is 13 euros p. P. Rather expensive (for someone in the morning, but only sparsely eats). The bikes we were able to secure in a closed Garage. Central location — immediately behind the Mönchsberg – you go from the Hotel only through the Tunnel (sigmunds) and is already at the Herbert v. Karajan-Platz, in the middle of the action. I can only recommend!

Have visited this hotel now on four occasions, going again this December for the Christmas market. Wonderful, so central. Rooms very nice. Breakfasts good, good selection. Staff brilliant, nothing too much trouble. We enjoy our visits always. Very happy with the hotel. Perhaps it us not a 5 star but an excellent 4 star. For the uk people its not the Ritz or the Dorchester! But its good. Cannot praise the staff more highly. Harry and Ann Good.

I stayed at the Am Neutor from 7 — 13 September 2014. I fail to see how it can qualify as a four star hotel. In my opinion it would barley qualify as a three star. I initially was put in a front room on the first floor but this was like trying to sleep on the M25 at rush hour, the noise was terrible and with no aircon we had to have windows open. (The hotel is right on the main road) Having requested a room change we moved to the second floor and to the side of the hotel which was far better with less noise. The bathroom stunk of stale urine and the ceiling fan did not work. When I reported the fan all I was told was that they knew it was not working. When we moved into the room a spider was living on the wall with a web stretching completely across the room. This spider was still there and alive six days later when I left. There is no facility for tea or coffee making in the room this is a definite black mark. The hotel advertises as FREE Wi-Fi in the room. I managed to get one and sometimes two signal bars and the box was right outside my room. Most of the time I had no signal at all but when I did it was the slowest internet connection I have seen since dial up finished. The bed had a good mattress but only one feather pillow so when used it felt like there was no pillow at all. Breakfast was continental supported by scrambled egg and bacon along with boiled egg and a good breakfast it was.

For the second year my husband and I stayed at the Neutor during the Salzburg Festival. We were very happy in the junior suite which was spacious and comfortable. And the staff is very helpful. What we really appreciated, however, was the proximity to the tunnel leading to the old town and festival halls, especially during the rainy summer.

I had a nice stay at the Am Neutor. The short distance to the city and the number 1 bus to the train station makes this hotel an ideal place to stay for a visit to Salzburg. Comfortable rooms, and nice staff.

The room was nice, staffs were very helpful, and the price was completely affordable. Since the hotel is located close to the centre of Altstadt, a lot of restaurants and bars, as well as two bus stops, are in walking distances. The only problem was their wireless internet connection. Although it was claimed to be available throughout the hotel, I was hardly able to establish network connection in my room before midnight and obliged to go down to the lounge. Even there, apparently the best Wi-Fi spot of the hotel, I had occasional connection errors probably depending on how many persons are (trying to be) online. However, overall I was quite satisfied.

The hotel is conveniently located near the old town. My room is rather small but clean and the basic faculties are there. However, it would be nice if Wi-Fi can be accessed from both wings. I live in the wing opposite to the main hotel lobby and have to cross the road to go to the lobby to check emails.

I booked this hotel for the service * star, because I use my small daughter to have. None of this, we were accommodated in a hotel with no staff at the reception! Several times, my wife had to cross the street to the needs of the child. Sucks. Very negative.

Fair price and absolute top location close to old town.
