Hotel

Couldn't reach anyone at the hotel back in October, when we wanted to book a room. Friends of ours had booked earlier, so we went to have a dinner with them at the restaurant, when we were in Ellmau in January. The food was very good and the staff very friendly and easygoing. 5 stars if not for the problems in October.

Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm, wobei es auch nicht sonderlich voll war zu meiner besuchtszeit. Das Essen ist lecker rustikal, ordentliche Portionen und zu angemessenen Preisen. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und wirklich um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht. Die Karte ist zwar relativ übersichtlich, jedoch ist sicher für jeden etwas passendes dabei. Ich komme gern wieder!

The hotel is a bit old, but everything is well maintained and clean. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The food was very good.

Good service. Place in the center of Ellmau. Not recommended for eating.

We are staying in this hotel under reccomendation from a family member who stayed here before, so glad we chose Alte Post as staff are very friendly, food excellent, especially for my husband and son who are veggies, they have given them a wide variety of menu's which also were very tasty!. Location great nearby all amenities and bus stop right outside for the pistes and other locactions. Thank you Anne Marie for everything x.

The rooms are clean, the food very tasty. The staff is very nice and helpful. The décor is functional, the beds good. The spa area was also clean and well maintained.

Eat good rooms clean and in the center.

Schöne große saubere zimmer jedoch alt eingerichtet. Leckeres essen gibts auch.

Our stay had a bit of a rough start when were told on arrival the place was over booked and we had to stay in a different hotel for the first night. Their directions suggested it was on the other side of the street but it actually took us ten minutes of searching to find the place. Which is not very nice after a day of traveling and when you're still carrying around all your luggage. We were also expected to carry back all our stuff the next morning, but we returned and requested them to pick it up for us. It would have been nice if they had put a little more effort in making up for this mistake on their part and not just send us away with vague directions and no compensation. Would have given 4 stars if it wasn't for this. Apart from this: the food was decent, staff was for the other days very friendly and the rooms were cleaned very thoroughly every day.
