Apparently everything here is on a descending branch… if the reviews from last year are still sensational and advertise a luxury mountain hotel, you can unfortunately only see on site a lovelessly run hotel, which does not even meet the standard of a guesthouse.
The cleanliness in the "renovated" rooms leaves a lot to be desired, besides, our panoramic suite was already very busy (cheap material when renovating does not last long). A scratched and yellowed sink and stained leather on the bed tarnish the first impression. Unfortunately, this picture is also confirmed on the panoramic terrace for dinner, one feels a little deceived, because the pictures on the Internet look appealing and luxurious. The 3-course to half-board was unfortunately just as disappointing, because one is more accustomed to the Austrian cuisine. Service unfortunately also more than bad, problem management misreporting. I don't want to talk about breakfast here and also the probably long-defective pool, which would simply have needed a cleaning, finally ensured an early departure on our part.
Absolutely not recommended!

The hotel itself is beautifully located, large parking, rooms and bathroom clean, great view in panorama room.
There is still room for improvement in the wellness area. The rooms themselves were far too cold to linger there comfortably after the swim. The water in the pool had a good temperature, but hair and black lint swam in it — I know this cleaner from other hotels. Also in some places the joint crumbled, a spotlight rusted under water and the massage nozzles did not work.
Breakfast has an insanely wide choice, but the quality of the dishes still leaves room for improvement. Baking rolls, partly dry and hard.
The service was always trying to make the staff friendly. However, the typical charm of an Austrian host family is completely lost. Hotel was probably bought by Russians — as I said, they are trying — but there is still room for improvement in terms of service.

Beautiful renovated rooms. The kids immediately grabbed the panoramic sleeping places. Modern Alpine style. Every morning and evening we go to the in-house pool. Very clean but water temperature and air a little cool. Large breakfast buffet. However, many simple supermarket products, all cakes, cold cuts, baking rolls etc. Fresh grilled vegetables, bacon and sausages. Great lounge area. Unfortunately, there was nothing going on in the evening. As of 10 p. M. On Saturday, there were no more staff. The portie who just wanted to do the evening has given us 2 more beers out.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very friendly! We will certainly come back. The right place for relaxation.

Panorama room was awesome, great mix of modern and traditional with awesome view.

Very nice and polite staff, very good exhibition with great themed rooms. Wellness area clean, varied and deeply relaxing. Large sunbathing lawn with pub basin.

Nice hotel, but the food is cery bad at restaurant, terrible coffee.

Nice and comfortable hotel close to Penken. It offers standard and Panorama rooms. The breathtaking view of Alps is included in the latter one. Generally, the pictures of rooms and swimming pool present on the web site are a little bit confusing. One can expect larger rooms and the pool. As a matter of fact, rooms are approx. 18 square meters and the pool is as long as 10 meters. But this is really outstanding place with helpful stuff and classic Tyrol kitchen.

Decent ski hotel, a bit wired you need to pay extra to enter the spa.

Great place! Clean, fresh, friendly, nice spa, very good breakfast, with a shuttle service (5 min. ) to the ski area. Definitely to visit again.

We have spent a very nice evening in the restaurant. Quite good quality for a reasonable price.

We are at Hotel Stefanie over Christmas and are horrified by breakfast. Our suite is OK. Today half the day the fire brigade in the spa. Staff are friendly and at pains. We haven't dared to eat at the restaurant yet. Conclusion! Too bad for the beautiful house. We imagined Christmas 2017 in a different way.

There were many details that simply showed that someone doesn't care here. The food at breakfast was cold (fried eggs, scrambled eggs), the bread and the rolls were clearly telecom goods, sausage and cheese were from the Aldi counter. The staff was super nice, courteous and polite, but in the restaurant (which was the Complete Weekend KALT and not heated — we sat with blankets over our legs at dinner) a bit under and over.
The pool was cold.
The room was anything but what you can see on the website (Room 212).
The Gym offers equipment from Anno 1999 on felt 10 sqm.
As I said, the staff nice, courteous and helpful — but the overall Hotel Stefanie package doesn't fit!

Mountain view room, in front of you creates a long lasting memory. Great staff that is ready to help you anytime and the outstanding breakfast make you to fell in love we this place.

I love the view from this hotel, also adore the rooms and the service, i'll come back here for sure.

Under new ownership since 2015. Made a booking with free cancellation and had to cancel, so can't say anything about the rooms etc, but the hotel so far still hasn't payed back my deposit, despite promesses to the contrary. It has been taking many weeks now. Unless that changes, I can only recommend AGAINST going here.

Since the change of ownership on 01.01.2016 everything has changed. No more Austrian cordiality, breakfast only deficient, only Eastern European service personnel without sensitivity, staff in the reception has no idea of surroundings and excursion destinations, cleanliness leaves much to be desired, maintenance jams, W-Lan falls the stars, which the Kröll family has laboriously earned, stop shining, price-performance ratio is not at all true, in winter only breakfast is included with higher prices, on the other evaluation portals you can read more about disappointed regulars read.
