very nice hotel… super service… beautiful rooms… Bar… optimal location.

The first time there and fully enthusiastic especially about the nice staff and the first dinner was very tasty.

The Best hotel in Tuxertal!

Not quite cheap, but still good. Especially the location is well suited as a starting point for hiking. We'll be back.

Nice family hotel of traditional style in Austria.

Excellent structure now tested in several years Near the lifts about 500 MT and with an excellent shuttle bus one every 15 minutes The property boasts a thermal pool with its own source plus a good wellness Center.

First here, obviously a house with tradition. Not top modern but with charm, clean and tasteful. Great half board with really good cuisine and after skiing there is something little in the bar for the first hunger. Swimming pool and sauna make the offer perfect. Location is about 500m from the valley station.

Came here occasionally since 2008 and received a cold shower of poorest hospitality this January (read of liars at the bottom) after spending €6000+ on 4 rooms: Room (all cry for renovation) *No expected amenities-no body lotion or conditioner *No towels replaced some days=no sauna *Lights taking forever to fire (cheap old economic bulbs) *Lamps to crush your head-both me and father crushed twice in the seating area *No fridge in the room (a reason of the caviar robbery-below) *Rooms unsafe for children (my carefully watched toddler bruised about sharp angles twice) *Slow Wi-Fi (3g ways faster) Shared space *Sauna opens after 14h only even snowy non-skiable days *Steam was broken with no excuse/compensation *Keys, towels=no sauna entrance w/o a room key=say goodbye to sauna if you share a room *Unclean swimming pool =bandaids floating around noisy kids and their elegantly drunk parents *Faucets covered corrosion and filth *Kinder room is a mess=unsafe *No drinking water replaced in the sauna *Icy parking lots=nobody maintains the outside parking space-good luck; walking to the lifts is unsafe for the same reason *Disturbing noise in the street (if you face the street) — drunks wake you up *No reception at night (no keys=no way to enter) and not answering calls Service&Food&Beverages *Some waiters no Eng-you better speak Hungarian; ignored the request to change a waiter with 8 guests! *No luggage help=become a powerlifter here!

The Kirchler Thermal Swimming hotel in Hintertux is ideally located for Skiers. You can drive off via the Black Pan Downhill right in front of the Hotel. In the Morning you only drive 1 Station (700m) by ski bus, then you are at the Valley Station Of the Glacier tracks. In bad Weather, you can also take the Tuxer Sports Bus to Vorderlanersbach and enter the Ski Area around the Penken (Finkenberg/Mayerhofen) via the Eggalm.
The Service in the Hotel, which unfortunately has come a little too old, is completely good. The Rooms are partly too old, some are a bit more modern, clean, but there are numerous Quirks on all Corners of the Hotel. Especially in the Area of the Thermal Bath And in The Sauna area. Absolute Horror is the Steam Bath, which is a Risk Of Accidents. Tiles have burst all Over the Sanitary Areas, there are screws missing the Fittings and it smells of Urine, or Faeces in the Changing Rooms in the Swimming Pool.
The New Year's Eve menu and subsequent Midnight Buffet were excellent. The Breakfast Buffet and the Jausen in the Afternoon are also good. Evening Buffets and — menus are mostly good. Very good Wines that are professionally tasted.
The Cocktails in the Bar are not recommended, they are too watery, although the right Amount of Alcohol has been added. There are good Single-malt whiskies for That. For Tea Orders, too little Water is served in the Cup.

Pleasant dining in the original stuebrl. Excellent Tyrolean cuisine and friendly service.

The hotel is modern with thermal baths and a beautiful sauna. Food and rooms were lovely. Runs a private hotel bus to Hintertux Glacier Railway.

Et glimrende hotel, der er meget østrigsk I sit udtryk. Værelserne varierer afhængigt af om man befinder sig I den nyere del eller det oprindelige hotel (begge af fornuftig standard, men de nyere værelser er bedre indrettet). Service-niveauet er generelt højt og man skal ikke sidde mange sekunder og vente på betjening I restauranten. Badhotels placering er OK I forhold til liften, og der går en skibus meget tæt på skikælderens udgang — der er dog ikke shuttle-service til liften, som der ellers ofte er på firestjernede hoteller. Alt I alt er der tale om et hotel, der på bedste vis danner rammen om en god ski eller vandreferie I de østrigske alper.

Lovely hotel, 5 minutes from the glacier lift with thermal spa, swimming pool and sauna.

We have visited this hotel twice and have two more holidays booked. It's been the best hotel we've ever visited while on ski holidays. All the staff are very helpful, happy and professional. Same staff for years that remember you when you revisit. Family Kirchler is just amazing. Hotel is clean, wherever you go and look. Pool is fantastic, food almost unbelievable how good and made to your personal requirements. I give it 10 stars!

Grand old hotel with all the facilities, views and fantastic staff. My kids were there with Austrian Race Camps and I stayed for 3 nights too. The buffet and a la carte food was superb, staff were friendly, patient and funny… I loved our waiter. But what is truly amazing about this place, we managed to leave a kindle some clothing or something was lost. And the hotel would find them and send them back to us. More than a month later another package arrives and inside is my lost wallet with my residence permit AND the money! This hotel is amazing! Thank you. Highly recommended.

Good food, both the buffet but especially their restaurant. Go for some aged beef.

The main reason I give this hotel five stars is that they listened last time 2 years ago when I mentioned their old ski boot room was not up to scratch for a 4 star hotel. So two years later I go back and in the hotel annexe they now have an outstanding ski room full of ski boots dryers that were not there before, loads of places to hang your skis, lockers to lock your skis away €1 per use, a workbench to service your ski bases and plenty of room to sit and set up your ski boots. Swipe card access too. Most impressive I like room 507 in the hotel annex linked by an underground tunnel to the main hotel. Pine wood decorated to perfection upgraded bigger Panasonic TV with SD card slot to view photos or Go Pro videos on a big size TV. Decent 6 course meal consisting of buffet salad, cold starter, soup, main meal of 3 choices, desert and cheese selection. Coffee costs extra and check the wine cost and ask them to cork a bottle otherwise you have to finish the bottle same night. I stick to the beer as I know they don't charge much for that €4.20 for a large beer in a ski resort hotel is ok average is €8 to €10 in France & Swizerland so you have to respect Austria for that. The swimming pool at 17 metres long rectangular and not some silly shape is another reason why I select this hotel and they try to keep there prices down normally the lowest 4 star hotel price in the Zillertal Hintertux valley. Worth going back to.

Stayed here 3 times now. In season you can ski to within 50m of the hotel. Some rooms are a little tired but food staff and bar all great.

Amazing place. The staff is top shelf. Run by the same family for 5 generations… the food is over the top. Martin the bartender/sommelier is one of the best in the world… my first trip there was in mid 70's and been going back ever since. Oh did I say the skiing is really good to.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, just 500 metres from the valley station of the Hintertux mountain railways and with beautiful views of the glacier. All employees and the owner are friendly and Nice. Dinner is generous and well prepared, but the breakfast is only moderate (it would be better from a 4-star hotel offers).
The rooms are clean and offer plenty of space, but old fashioned. A renovation would be necessary in my opinion.
The thermal bath and sauna offer good recreation facilities after a long day of skiing.

Beautiful location, wonderful attentive staff and great food to go along with it. If you are looking for a relaxing spot to recharge then you should very much consider going. It is a long long trip from Australia but I think we will hopefully be making it back again in the future.
