Haus Accommodation - note - Valid passport required to check-in

Terrible experience! Awful smell in the rooms and halls, kitchen didn't have washing up liquid or towels and facilities very insufficient. Worst of all, when I brought this up with staff during my stay, nothing was done and the email I sent after was also ignored.
Avoid this place as they are ripping off travellers considering the price you pay and the atrocious standard they offer!

To say that this place lacks love and tenderness is an understatement. The place is simply sad. There is no colour on the walls, dead plants, broken tvs on the floor, no comfortable furniture to sit and chill and you can feel every wire in your mattress when you lay down. The female bathroom has 3 showers, but only two of them work as a shower. The other one just “leaks” water. The kitchen utensils were all in pretty bad shape (scary looking pans and pots).
Staff: Unfortunately, the girl that checked us in appeared to have had a bad day or similar as she was not nice at all. Before even saying welcome she charged us 20 AUD extra “in case we left dirty dishes” in the sink. The introduction of the hostel wasn’t very informative at all. For example, I checked out from my room and still wasn’t able to find the Wi-Fi password. There wasn’t even a sign about it! They do not offer towels. Instead they charge you $10 for 1 towel (CRAZY).
The rooms are shared, which is fine, but once again very unhomey. I’ve been in several hostels and this one definitely is my top 5 sad places. The outlets in the room are not accessible from the top beds. Bunk beds do not have the typical curtain for privacy (a girl I was sharing the room with sacrificed her sheet for privacy). No personal light for reading (only the top white office one that lights up the whole room). Also, there isn’t even a little shelf to leave personal belongings by the bed.

It was a terrible place. Last time I came to Perth as a tourist, I stayed at another hostel, but this time on my working holiday I picked this one because it was cheaper (hostels in WA are way more expensive than on the east coast). Unfortunately, it turned out to be a disaster.
1. The bathroom had no locks — just curtains. The whole bathroom area (including the showers) only had one door, and there was no lock on it, so men could just walk in. It felt really unsafe.
They didn’t provide any toiletries, which is fine, but the showers were full of old grime and hair clogging the drain. It was so gross — like it hadn’t been cleaned in forever.
2. The facilities were super old and clearly never updated. Some chairs were almost falling apart, and some had already collapsed.
3. When it rained, the ceiling in the hallway leaked and nobody took care of it — there weren’t even buckets to catch the water.
4. The room had lockers, but no keys, and you couldn’t lock them with your own padlock either.
5. It was self-service — you had to put your own sheets on and strip the bed when you checked out. That part was fine, but I never once saw anyone vacuum or clean the floors in room. It felt like the owner was only interested in making money.
If you’re planning to do a working holiday in Perth and want to save money on accommodation, be prepared — cheap places here may be really low quality. (In the eastern states or even in Tasmania, you could stay somewhere much nicer for the same price! )

Haus accommodation is a new Hostal but it has everything you need. Good location, friendly staff, comfortable beds and a well kept kitchen. Couldn’t recommend these guys more!

A home away from home! Very friendly, helpful staff. Clean, comfy rooms and good facilities. Close to town and public transport. Will definitely be coming back here :) Dumi.

A very comfortable hostel and friendly staff!
For those who don't speak English very well, no problem the staff also speaks Italian. There is a kitchen, the laundry and a nice place outside where you can relax or in any case be quiet outside, recommended!

Im from Vietnam and Northridge is scary at night, but the Haus hostel was worse… the Chinese person on reception is often very drinking a lots and asking rude things about girls… maybe some type of prevert.
And the rooms I wouldn't let my pet dogs stay in them very smelly and dirty.
