Deluxe camping at its best, great service, fantastic location, great restaurant and an amazing natural experience.

Wd stayed as a group from the 7th July (Blue hatted group) and Loved it. Prefect place to relax and detach from life for 5 days. Food from restaurant was awesome and staff were great catering for a large group. Will totally recommend and hopefully come back one day.

We stayed in the Deluxe Eco Tent and totally loved it. It was well thought out, spotlessly clean, and was an amazing glamping experience. Even though it was fully booked during peak season the tents were spaced out adequately so we could really enjoy the serenity of the outback. The service was impeccable and the food in the restaurant sent us to food heaven after a day exploring the gorges.

We stopped in for dinner, the food was amazing and so tasty! fast & quality service.

Would definitely recommend! Camp sites are huge, clean and private, it was very quiet and amenities were clean and stocked 🙂

It was a lovely place & beautiful staff! Maren was fabulous & the new staff especially Ji I think his name was! We’re all great! One thing though my daughter had a Gkamping tent & was freaked out. Y the frogs & crawling things in her toilet & shower! That was a Shame as it freaked her out & ruined her stay in the tent! We only had site for our van! Was good! Definitely would stay there than anywhere ekes in the park! Great dinners in the restaurant ✅

We had an amazing time here camping! We had a fantastic meal, was given lots of helpful advice about the gorges and how to get to each place, had freezing cold drinks each day and the staff are super accommodating!

The food was amazing!
The beds are so comfortable-I could sleep there and not miss my bed at home! Quality bedding, large quality pillows and excellent condition mattresses. The shower is great too… warm we’re and works well!

We only experienced the restaurant… drove in from Tom Price but it was well worth it, the restaurant was excellent. Despite somehow losing our booking the staff and service was excellent and the dishes we had, kangaroo loin and barramundi were five star. Only negative the 3km dirt road to resort is way over due for grading and really bad, didn’t expect that. Obviously they’ve had an extremely busy time (due to border lockdowns as staff said) but they haven’t done an extra grading on the road to cope with the extra traffic, so bad for your car!

Karajini is amazing, staff are so amazingly friendly and awesome, tents were great. I give them a major 5 stars ❤❤ beds were wonderful.

Even though the temperature was over 40 degrees — the staff were fabulous, helpful and patient. The food was cooked to perfection and the lemon tart was fabulous. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and we will come back and see you in the winter.

We stayed one night here and after Dales camp ground it seemed like luxury with flushing toilets near the restaurant. Ice creams were exorbitant with the cheap icy poles being $4 each. I was glad to have a shower finally after days of none but was turned off when the water wasn’t hot like I was expecting. The next morning I heard someone shout that the gas had been turned on and the showers were hot. I later bumped into the former manager of the place who said for what customers are paying, the gas should b on 24/7 and hot showers always available.

My partner and I stayed two nights camping at the Eco Retreat and found it only had one shower for the whole campsite. The shower is very dirty and run down. The disabled toilet is also very dirty and there are no hand towels available to dry your hands. Even though the restaurant is very cosy and the chef is amazing we had to wait a long time for a table even though there were many free tables. There are no mirrors or sinks in the toilets or showers so everyone brushes their teeth out in the open communal sinks at the front of the toilets. People also wash their dishes in the sinks so it can be a bit uncomfortable. Overall we wish we had chosen to stay somewhere else and wouldn’t stay here again. Basic cleanliness 3/10.

We just spent 5 nights in the camp ground and had such a wonderful time. A lovely dinner at the restaurant on the last night as a treat. It irks me reading some of the other reviews about no bins no menu substitutes etc etc. If people actually took some time to research the venue they’re staying at they would I know all of these things prior and would be able to plan accordingly or choose a different option. We were very grateful to be able to charge our spare battery at the reception overnight and found everyone very helpful and accommodating. Thanks for an wonderful experience.

We didn't stay in the eco tents we just had an unpowered site, I thought it was really crazy priced for everything. No bins at all so had to transport all our rubbish to Tom Price due to the dumping spot rubbish was overflowing out of the couple of bins there.
the cafe wasnt alot of food choices for kids at all.
maybe just a suggestion a pizza oven

Campsites set in the natural environment. Found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Had dinner at restaurant twice absolutely delicious thank you. Also walking distance to Joffre Gorge which is quite spectacular. The weather was perfect late July. We stayed five nights which gave us plenty of time to explore. Will definitely stay at the Eco Retreat again.

The eco retreat is well put together and definitely feels more manicured than your typical campgrounds. The main reason for the average review is that they advertise solar powered showers as if to insinuate you will get a nice hot shower (which is quite a selling point when you’re camping in remote places), however, we were disappointed to endure a cold shower on this occasion. It was around 4pm, the sun was still up and the showers weren’t overly busy. Other than this we had a great time at Karijini and the eco retreat is a nice place to base yourself to see the sights if you’re after a little more than what Dale’s campgrounds and the overflow sites have to offer.

Very expensive for what you get. Not enough showers and toilets for the number of camping spots. Seems that they are using the term "Eco" as an excuse to provide second rate facilities. The park is amazing however, and if you want showers it's the only place to stay in the park. Definitely worth at least a few nights stay.

Stayed as a camper and wasn't expecting hot showers! Good spacious camp sites. Very near to awesome gorges.

We were really happy with our experience at Eco Retreat this week just gone. Showers were hot and the campsite itself was good. Loved the idea of being able to have a meal at the restaurant if you didn’t feel like cooking and the staff were all very welcoming. If only the roads going to the retreat were a bit better and a bit better looked after. Other than that.

Set in the most beautiful place imaginable. Once you have seen and been in the gorges it would be hard to beat.
The tents are wonderful.
But … as you are a captive audience some of the staff looked at you as a necessary nuisance. I asked for the chicken breast with vegetables instead of salad as it was absolutely freezing but the chief doesn't change the menu? The next night I asked for a table "inside" as there were plenty free instead of on the outside rim and was told I could have a blanket! They wouldn't get away with their attitude if they had competition.

Awesome location. Amenities for the camping were a bit light on for the Easter weekend.

Thank you to all the beautiful staff at Karijini Eco Retreat that helped make our stay and our wedding truely perfect. All our guests loved their stay and we have some spectacular photos to show our family and friends back home.

I will be very quick to recommend a stay to anyone travelling to the Pilbara.

First, the weather in December was very hot. We had a small campervan and the nights were very hot with no wind. There is no shades. We stay only for 1 night because of this. I was expecting better facilities. The cooking facilities were very limited for the entire retreat as said in other reviews. Only 3 small bathrooms and there were queues morning and night. 20 AUD for this was really expensive.

My friends and I stayed at Karijini Eco Resort over the Easter break (apart of a 12 day camping road trip). The average temperature during the long weekend was 35-40 degrees celcius, daily. We were extremely underwhelmed and disappointed to say the least. Rubbish managment: Firstly, the Karijini Eco Resort has a no-rubbish policy, as in whatever rubbish you bring externally or produce internally during your stay, you must take with you which results in unsavoury bags of rubbish festering in your car for days. Facilities: The cooking facilities were a basic outdoor BBQ with only one preparation surface and sink for at least 10 camping sites. The bathrooms were in good condition but did not cater for the number of people that were staying. There were queues morning and night. Lastly, the campsites themselves were completely devoid of trees and any form of shade, which was extremely uncomfortable in the hot weather. Reception/bar/venue management: Customers that purchased any food or alcoholic beverages that were not a dine in meal, were told they could not sit in the restaurant area but instead were made to sit outside the main dining area. This is not say the Karijini Eco Resort was a completely disappointing experience. The staff were knowledgeable and always eager to help. However, $20.00 per person per night for a unpowered campsite, is not justified in the facilities provided. We would recommend trying to Dale's Gorge Campground.

I Loved it, tents are perfect, I specially liked the bathroom with half opened roof, little frogs were always on the sink, toilet and shower, I loved them they're so cute, they've never made any noises.

Perfect way to experience the outback! Dinner at the restaurant didn't disappoint! Sitting back watching the sunset while eating a beautiful meal.

Expensive but super located campsite toilet with flushing are available great restaurant for a cold drink after a hike.

Fabulous experience. There is a great restaurant plus an impressive canyon about a hundred meters walk. It is central to the many fabulous Pilbara canyons (via a 4WD), and has a wilderness feel. Numbers of campers are fairly limited.

Lovely camp sites with bush outlook and views over the park. Proper flushing toilets and hot showers are great. Very friendly and helpful staff. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was great, the kids loved the carbonara and my rib eye was done perfectly!

Stayed at the camp site, great sites and it was great to have a good shower. The gorges are great but less in walking distance than Dales, had to drive to see most of them. I suggest you take reef shoes and a floating device when visiting any gorges in the park — its the best way to see them. Great spot. The restaurant is just a gem in the bush, great to sit and have a beer and the food was fantastic, considering its location its not over the top expensive. Such a great treat after spending so much time camping and driving. Recommend it.

All the staff were extremely welcoming and provided fantastic service! The restaurant was exceptional and had a range of authentic Australian dishes made from local bush ingredients. The EcoTents were comfortable and provided a beautiful view of the sunrise each morning. Karijini itself is a truly incredible place to visit and I would highly recommend the EcoRetreat to anybody thinking of going.

Very corrugated road for last several kilometers, where as cheap camping at Dales campground has sealed road all the way. Website claims hot showers, but when we were there a line up for hot showers as only one was working. This is not good enough with the price they charge. When we go back again we will be staying at Dales campground.

A great base to explore Karijini National Park, there are multiple camping and accommodation options and I stayed at a standard campsite. The camping grounds are very good but limited and basic facilities for the number of people using them but not a major problem. Joffre gorge is only a short walk and the road in to the Eco Retreat is paved except for the last few kilometers. The staff are friendly and the meals in the restaurant are good but of course at tourist restaurant prices and you would expect. The roads in the National Park when I visited were very corrugated and to see all of the park you are driving on these for a very long time. The National Park is spectacular and a must see.

Fantastic 'glamping' experience, lovely staff and brilliant meals. Well worth a visit. We'll be recommending Karijini Eco Retreat to all our friends.

Charged me 499/ — per night for tent. Felt like that will not survive the night! No service! Outrageous! Continental breakfast do not include eggs!

I recently spent a week here and really enjoyed my stay, the staff were really helpful and friendly. I explored all the gorges, they were incredible. Looking forward to heading back in a few weeks time.
