Absolutely enjoyed 3 night here and would recommend it. Cosy accommodation with great hosts. Very suitable to hunter’s, fishers, bush walkers and 4x4’s.

What a majestic place it is. We just spent the New Years and stayed 4 nights at Jamieson Valley Retreat. We enjoyed every bit, the walks around the property, the fishing, the alpaca feeding, the mountain bike riding (I brought mine), kids loved floating in the river on their float-ies (of course supervised, there is a bit of a current) I enjoyed the swimming and snorkelling instructed by Freddie (I saw carps and crayfish) the little playground for kids, the wonder around the hills, the nature and everything was just perfect. We didn’t have time to play tennis but the court looks good enough for a hit. This is an unique place in the high country, a very exclusive and peaceful location away from crowds and normal city routines. I will recommend this place for a break away, for a group of friends with kids and families, you must love the country or be ready to fall in love with it. You also must be ok with bugs and insects, we are after all in their habitat and they are always around. Cottage was comfortable, clean and had all the ammenities. Freddie and Angie, the owners of this piece of paradise were the best hosts — helpful, they are friendly, family oriented and very wise in all the recommendations. If you stay at Jamieson Valley Retreat you must pop into Freddie’s gallery to check out his amazing photographs and if you have space back home for a nice photo frame buy yourself some of the nice pictures from Freddie.
