Very disappointed with our dining experience, our calamari salad was all leaves with one slice of tomato and two cucumbers, friends were given short glasses for their slushies when other customers received tall glasses for the same price? Bar tender was very rude and made me feel like I was being an inconvenience when ordering a drink. Very upset with the way we were treated as soon as we walked in.

Waited for hours to include our meals coming out especially for 2 pregnant woman and 9 children had to eat last. Large beautiful venue but the amount of staff for the amount of patrons was not suffice, no jugs left for drinks.

The plan was to have a quick lunch there but got stuck in what was such a great place to be. I stayed for dinner, had an absolute ball but when the staff realised that I was not in the best condition were more than insistent on helping me get back home safe, Wonderful staff with outstanding service, Many Thanks, You’re Gentlemen.

Such a good place to stay overnight, something that I miss was the password for the Wi-Fi. Everything else went fine.

Amazing food! I've stopped here twice this year, ordered the ribs both times, and the food is fall off the bone, melt in your mouth amazing! Staff are friendly and the fire places are roaring during the colder months.

The place was good and moderately clean. There were pleasant amenities but one of the pillows had a hole and there wasn't a headboard which made me a bit uncomfortable since it could prove to be a disaster since we had a toddler. Overall the place was good but nothing amazing.

We have been coming to the Bonnie Doon Hotel for over 25 years and it has never been run better than it is right now! There is nothing we like more than sitting out in the beer garden with our friends, looking out over the beautiful Lake Eildon over the warmer months, or inside by the cosy fires during the winter months. We highly recommend The Bonnie Doon Hotel for a drink or a meal.

Simple accommodation that is clean, comfortable, quiet and convenient. Easy booking, check in, and check out. Friendly staff. Comfortable mattress, suitable refrigerator, good appliances for light breakfast or hot drinks. Plus a generous stock of light consumables. Well located rest point en route to and from the Alpine National Park. Relaxing Bush aspect from room looking out toward Lake Eildon.

As country pubs go this one is top notch. Very cold beer, very friendly staff, huge meals and accommodation available. Going back for another meal as soon as I can.

Quite a busy night, friendly staff. Slow getting meals — last to leave but not last to order? Meals were nice.

So good! Delicious food that comes out fast. Kids meals with free drink. HUGE servings. Friendly service. I love that the whole outfit area is smoke-free, with dedicated tables around the side, away from the rest. We stop in after every camping trip.

A nice quiet Friday lunch outside, after a morning out on the ski boat with friends, family and the dog. Had the Moroccan Barramundi w/ chips & salad. Don't normally eat the chips, but finished all of these ones. Barramundi was cooked perfect. Salad was a bit ordinary. Only two other groups visiting — so the service was quick.

Pretty good pub food if you've been away for the weekend and are heading back to town. Staff are friendly and drinks are cold, just what you need on a hot summer's day. Nice space outdoors if the weather is permitting.

Great pub food, excellent service with a lake view. Easy to pull up and grab a feed with your boat. Lunch hours are 12-2:30pm.

You can't order a bar meal any more you have to go into the dinning room and order and get them to bring it around to the bar. Yet every other thing is put through the computer must be too hard for the the kitchen staff.

Great vibes for dinner, lovely sitting outside with views of the lake. Food was decent but I've certainly had better parmas for the price!

Very pleasant and friendly staff, food was delicious… meal size a little out of my league but was really lovely. If you want a really full tummy this is the place to go.

The Bonnie Doon Hotel is one of the best country pubs around. A big open outdoor area faces Lake Eildon providing an amazing view. Everything on the menu is a winner. The meals are cheap and the quality is off the chart! To top it off serving size isn't sacrificed. The parma is one of the best I've ever had. A great stop on a long road trip. Don't miss this place.

Great pub with excellent food and atmosphere. Steak was amazing. The beer garden overlooks the lake, so it gets very busy in peak season. Staff handle the crowds well. Motel rooms are good too — an hours drive to Buller.

I go here often and am usually fairly impressed.
I’m guessing the owners/manager (s) /head chef was away on the weekend.
Six of us went for dinner last night and received poor food not cooked to how it was ordered. Very disappointing but happy to put that down to a glitch.
What’s most disappointing is the treatment received by a couple of teenagers working in the bottle shop. First claimed to have a comprehensive grasp of Australian Consumer Law due to the fact he “just done me RSA last week mate”. The other self proclaimed “manager” just so incredibly rude to be frank.
The reason for this exchange was a simple “oops, we picked up the wrong product, walked to the car and realised… can we swap it please”. The result is six pretty upset semi locals, not prepared to want to come back until someone who knows what they’re doing in the HOSPITALITY industry at that pub wishes to try sort the issue properly.

This was one of the best country hotels I have ever been to. The staff were very helpful and efficient. The quality of the food was first class. I was with a group of 14 and there wasn't one bad word said about the place. It's on the list of places to revisit. Great place.

Not a bad little stop and very friendly staff. Rooms next to the pub so super convenient too. Will aim to return at some point. Worth the run from mildura.

Great meal. Just had a porterhouse steak (monday night special) for $20. Presented with a nice selection of veges too. Open fireplace was a welcome addition to the country ambience of this great little hotel. Highly recommend!

Great steak sandwich in the beer garden on a spring day. If you drive pass this place & always think "one day I'll stop in"… do it!

If you get a chance with the family… Stop here for food! Great food and very well heated interior. Bar and restaurant are seperated! So good!

It was a little pricey, but the large open fires around the restaurant were just what we needed after a day in the snow.

Sorry, I was the only one in the place and it took 35 minutes to get a meal. The vegies were way overcooked, the mash super salty and the meat although cooked correctly was as as tough as nails. The sauce over the meat was almost non existent. Will not visit again. Nice waiter though.
