Such a fantastic time Heidi & Jim were excellent hosts would highly recommend B&B’s are definitely a wonderful way to meet people & support local and fantastic small businesses.

Absolutly reccomend this amazing place what a great stay, heidi the owner went over an above to provide the perfect stay, never have I seen anywhere else, the extra touches just made it even more special, you really need to stay to appreciate how good it is, carnt wait to stay in future.

Freeman on Ford is an oasis in the historical gold town of Beechworth. Heidi and Jim are fantastic hosts who open their arms up to invite you into their home and you certainly don’t want to leave! A hearty brekkie sets you up for a day of wandering, trekking or relaxing by the pool. The beds you don’t want to hop out of and each room has an ensuite. Then there is also cake and tea in the afternoon! Heidi is a wealth of knowledge on the area and what is on activity wise. Thank you Heidi and Jim — we can’t wait to head back to see you both! We had a wonderful stay at Freeman on Ford for our 10th wedding anniversary. Heidi and Jim made our time in Beechworth so special with a beautiful room, breakfast and afternoon tea. The hotel has been lovingly restored with every attention to historical detail being maintained. The hotel is a perfect base for exploring beautiful Beechworth.

Simply Outstanding – Pure 5 stars. The Freeman on Ford B&B run by host Heidi & Jim cannot be faulted for their attention to detail and service to every guest. With both of them to help with any guest enquiry and local recommendations, you felt well informed without being over sold. We have stayed at a number of B&B over the years within Beechworth and this was out first stay at Freeman on Ford B&B and we regret not having booked this venue before now. The choice for breakfast was excellent and the afternoon tea of handmade sandwiches and cakes that is included the price was magnificent. We have just come off a two (2) night stay in the Deluxe Crystal Suite. This suite with its king size bed, full marble en-suite with extra-large double-spa, double rain showers and double basin, cannot be beaten — this room would easily rival a number of 5 star hotels suites in the Melbourne CDB. All I can really say is thank you to Heidi & Jim and we will be back!

We had to cancel two years in a row for different urgent health — once me in London after emergency heart operation; this year an early return to London because of a close relative's health. Both times Heide has been most understanding, and returned our payment, — not necessary under their booking conditions. We have stayed twice and want to come back ASP o this delightful setting and hosts Douglas Adler.

Great central location in Beechworth. Facilities were worth every cent we paid, quite luxurious old world charm mixed tastefully with modern touches. Will visit again.

Beautiful old building. Heidi and Jim were very welcoming. Breakfast in the morning was restaurant quality.

Both Catherine and I stayed at short notice on a public holiday. The ambience, commitment to service and genuine love for antiques was palpable. Nothing was too much for Heidi and Jim. We will definitely be back. Peter and Catherine White.

We arrived to the a 5 star welcome from Heidi and Jim who are so obliging and welcoming, we had a cup of tea and chatted then went to our room to freshen up before dinner, in the morning we received a lovely fruit salad and a cup of tea before our breakfast which was delightful and fresh, the room was old world with modern air conditioning and comforts, choice of cable TV or normal, tea and coffee in the cabinet and easy user friendly safe for our valuables, there are easy to ride hybrid cycles we used for a ride on the trails and beautiful clean swimming pool for a late night or early morning dip, this was topped off with undercover secure parking for our car thank you Heidi & Jim for you hospitality and warmth.

My husband and I had a very relaxing evening at Freeman on Ford B&B with a sumptuous breakfast the next morning. Our host, Heidi, was most welcoming and attentive. So much so, that we intend to return on our next visit to the area.
