BIG4 Taggerty Holiday Park

Great place for a holiday, especially with kids. Had a great time in the pool and loved the giant bouncy pillow.

We had a camper and stayed on the end with powered air and river view. Very close to neighbours, glad we were at the end so had no one on one side of us which was good. Never stayed at at park before with the camper so didn't know what to expect, we prefer it bush and quiet with no neighbours so a bit she'll shocked but very nice view and holiday Park if you have kids. Easy check in and out.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming cabin for four weeks, and my experience was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and taken care of. The cabin itself was cozy and well-equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay.
One of the standout aspects of my visit was the exceptional hospitality I received from the hosts. They went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule, allowing me to extend my stay for a few extra days to better suit my early starts and late nights. This flexibility made my trip much more enjoyable and stress-free.
The location of the cabin was also perfect, offering a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, I found myself enjoying the serene environment, which was ideal for unwinding after a busy day.
Overall, my experience at the cabin was fantastic. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and accommodating stay, whether for a short getaway or an extended visit like mine. I can't thank the hosts enough for their kindness and understanding, and I look forward to returning in the future!

My stay at BIG4 Taggerty Holiday Park was absolutely wonderful. The camping area was clean, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were friendly and professional, and the location was beautiful and well-maintained. The whole environment felt safe, tidy, and very enjoyable. I truly loved my time here and would definitely come back again.

Lovely cabins, nice and warm, not modern but have everything you need. Great location for the snow and some really good trails. Ive changed my review because there was a power outage whilst we were there, I know its not the fault of the park but the fact they didnt do anything to make sure people were comfortable with no heating, no hot water and no power, was poor.

Stayed here for two nights in the 3br riverfront cabin, for a mini break to Mt Buller. We were a party of two adults and two kids, but could comfortably have fit another two adults and two kids if the kids were all happy to share in the bunk room. The cabin was spacious, comfortable and as per its description — literally RIGHT on the river, with the deck overlooking the banks. Our only complaint would be that the mattress on the queen bed was a little tired and dipped in the middle — so it could maybe use replacing. Also, as a family friendly place it might be a good idea to include kids plastic plates/bowls in the cabins? Or maybe other families' 3yos aren't as chaotic as ours and they don't worry about breakages as much as we do… 😅
Very friendly ducks and king parrots visited the grass outside bedroom windows, and kookaburras laughed in the mornings. The cabin had its own firepit which was a welcome addition on the chilly evenings. The grounds themselves are fantastic with their playground, pool, mini golf, giant games, outdoor cinema and jumping pillow, plus pedal carts. We barely got to utilise it all as we were there for such a short time but we were honestly so impressed. Staff were phenomenal. So, so friendly and helpful. I truly can't recommend it enough if you are looking for a low-key but still memorable and very fun family holiday/mini-break. We'll definitely be back!

Really lovely location, very nice to have the river running right past the park. The cabin we stayed in was ok, very dated and worn (in need of a refresh) but it was quite clean. The pedal cars aren't worth the $15 hire rate, they are falling apart and need to be scrapped. Otherwise pleasant and the customer service was ok as well. We'd have enjoyed the stay more if we were in our caravan.

Nicely maintained holiday park located very close to Cathedral Range hiking tracks, lots of facilities if you have little kids.
We stayed a couple nights in the riverside cabin. The cabin was just sparkling clean and all the staff I dealt with there were very lovely and helpful. If you can, I highly recommend staying next to the river in either a cabin, a glamping tent or just camp there, it is just very peaceful.

We booked accommodation at Big Taggerty for our wedding guests for the weekend and couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Our guests absolutely loved it, we had so many compliments on the comfort, setup, and beautiful location. It was the perfect place for everyone to relax and settle in for the weekend.
Sally was wonderful to deal with, so helpful, responsive, and organised throughout all the back-and-forth in the lead-up. She made coordinating the bookings a breeze, and we’re so grateful to her and the team for making it all run so smoothly.

We have been coming here for 10 years for Easter. The park facilities need an upgrade. The amenities block needs to be cleaned and checked a bit more often. It's a great location. The cabins are very tired looking and need an over haul.

Riverside. A decent size caravan park. Pedal cart for hire for kids or families for a nominal amount to wander around the site. The site hugs the river for a decent distance. Keep the kids away from the office/lolly shop. European wasps are everywhere so keep s0me food covers handy and don't leave cans about.

Was meant to be a great catch up with family’s and friends over multiple unpowered sites but due to the long dry summer wasps have taken over nearly everywhere along the river camping spots and worst of all the unpowered areas, kids and adults have been bitten multiple times, including one person who has an EpiPen due to an allergic reaction to be has to be extremely careful around them. Cooking time or any time eating has to be done inside a car or inside, enclosed to tent due to being swarmed by hundreds of wasps setting up camp was extremely hard with wasps swarming all the time and getting into the tents, but luckily having plenty of bug spray on hand helped a little bit. Big 4 should have a warning up due to the dangerous amount of wasps right now, which is a safety hazard to people, especially if they don’t notify anybody of this. It’s rich paying over $80 a day in an unpowered site being surrounded by hundreds of wasps all day making a very unpleasant.

Our cabin was spacious and in a perfect spot overlooking the river.

Love camping here by the river, amenities are cleaned regularly and staff are lovely. We love the pool with the shade sail and the jumping pillow. We also love the go karts. Nice and close to Melbourne for an easy long weekend getaway.

We stayed for 2 nights in the Safari tent. It was beautiful, spotlessly clean, right on the river and so relaxing. They thought of all the little extras like candles and hot chocolate.
The park itself is meticulously kept. The lovely ladies in the office are sooo friendly.
Great spot for swimming, kayaking and fishing.
We would stay again and again. 😊

We called before booking to see if there were sites next to each other available, we were assured there was so booked online, I called after booking and confirmed our spots near each other. The day we arrived, we weren't put near other, the two girls at the front office couldn’t have been ruder to us. They need some serious lessons in customer service.
The positives at this Big 4 is the river and the amenities were kept tidy. Unfortunately the ‘movie night’ and games that were scheduled for kids were both cancelled when the weather was perfectly fine. There are only 2 Pedal carts available, so good luck if your kids want to use them. You’ll have to wait hours, the games room is run down and needs some love same as the jumping pillow. This was my second time here and it was very underwhelming this second time.
