Mingling Waters

Camped here for a few days whilst riding the East Gippsland Rail Trail. Great location. Only downside is the pub is closed Monday to Wednesday — mind you that does save us some money.
Best beer was the Sailors Grave.

What an absolute little cracker of a campsite. Big flat sites, very well-stocked camp kitchen, lovely outdoor dining area and lots of character provided by the (restored) old buildings which are on the site as well. Easy access to the wetlands walk and kids playground too. Would definitely stay again.
The bistro was closed when we stayed so can’t make comment on that!

Been staying at Mingling Waters since 1st of Jan! It’s currently 00:12am and I am still sitting here, around the firepit! I am checking out tomorrow and we booked Lot 12 for camping! The location was extraordinary and as peaceful as we expected! We came last year and this year, I felt like it was a must to review! The attendants of the campsite, Michelle and Malcom, were AMAZING! Oh! I should definitely mention Monster! He’s been such a cutie and the kids absolutely loved him! We’ve felt so welcomed and Michelle was of such a help EVERYTIME. Yesterday, the kids wanted to have a water fight and Michelle encouraged them to play with her! We were so genuinely surprised!
Thank you so much! We’ll definitely book again and hopefully for longer!

Campground review! Not Hotel or Restaurant.
The campground is in a beautiful location and generally offers a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the level of cleanliness during our stay was not very convincing. The laundry area looked quite neglected – one machine was filled with water, and the other appeared to be in use and not emptied. In the upper bathroom, the water drains very slowly while showering. The outdoor kitchen has potential but was also rather dirty. It’s a pity that the pizza oven and the billiard table were both out of order at the time. What disappointed us most was the interaction the next morning: when we emptied our wastewater, we were told quite abruptly not to release too much water. A little more friendliness and understanding towards guests would have been appreciated. Overall, it’s a nicely located campground with potential, but there’s definitely room for improvement in cleanliness, maintenance, and guest communication.

Spent 3 nights on a powered site. Staff were great, couldn't do enough to help you. Well maintained grounds. The only downside I think is that when the park is busy it lacks a bit on the amenities. Otherwise I'd definitely stay there again.

Stayed in the caravan park. Clean facilities and large sites. Short walk to the Boggy Creek boat ramp. Kitchen facilities and eating area. Also, a great travel bistro, but check opening hours. Excellent meals and good service. Reasonable fare.

We have camped here on and off over the years, it is such a hidden gem and such a beautiful space that offers peace and tranquility. Mingling Waters has never looked better and the hard work of Shelle and Mal who are such an asset and keep the facilities and gardens spotless is to be commended. Highly recommend this place!

Great bar & bistro at the front, camping area at the back. Only issue was the water level so no fishing or enjoying the lake/river area. The local council needs a kick up the backside and allow the sand bar to be broken.

What a surprise. Loved our quaint stay. Comfy, warm and roomy. Pub was warm and inviting. Meals hearty. Staff friendly. Walks were scenic early morning adventures. Kids would love it. Different combinations of cottages for differing needs.

Best feed I have had in east Gippsland. Called in once to check it out am back there weekly. Caravan park is perfect my grey nomad parents were blown away with the location right on the water. Amazing staff with a true country feel.

Cute rutic country tourist park. Wooden cabins, gaming tents and powered sites for vans. It is very quiet. The rotten egg smell was not that great when we arrived but got better.

We enjoyed the experience. Cold outside but toasty inside. Autumn 🍁 is such a beautiful time. Everything was lovely. Great for families. Highly recommend.

Great meals and friendly staff. Thank You Ben and the team. Indoor or outdoor tables with good value generous sized meals. Pizza options available. Good range beers on tap. Caravan park nearby if you want to stay for a few days. 15 minutes from Lakes Entrance.

Stayed here as part of bike ride on Great Eastern Rail Trail. Great location and facilities. Great to stay in an Old school camping facility with camp fires allowed and communal fire pits.

Called in today for lunch, great service, friendly and welcoming. We ordered a beer and cider, then ordered the Grilled Barramundi, Lasagne and Cheese & Garlic Pizza. The Barramundi came with chips and salad, nice to get coleslaw and a lovely beetroot and celery salad with some fresh rocket. The lasagne and cheese and garlic pizza was great also. Food and drinks at very reasonable prices, top that off with great service, 70s and 80s music playing at a reasonable level and a great ambience, I will be back. Check it out.

Road our bicycles off the E Gippsland Rail Trail right into MW! Ben, behind the taps, gave us a bunch of great info about the area and the accommodations. Unfortunately food was done at 14:00, but they were pouring cold beer and drinks at 14:30. Probably a good idea to have a few pre-made sandwiches to fill the gap in Rail Trail season (only if it makes sense). You gotta check out RA!
Has 30 camping sites. 2 ‘Glamping’ sites (with AC! ). 6 upgraded sites.

The chicken Parma was huge and the 'special' of garlic prawns was very tasty. We also had Misty Harlowe playing country music, she was very good and the pub was getting busy which is nice to see.
