Fox on the Run - Motel Kilmore

Louise and Stephen, thank you for your friendly and efficient service during our stay at Fox on the Run.
The rooms were of the highest quality and spotless with all amenities required. It is about time that Kilmore had a facility of this standard. The booking process and arrival reception were efficient and easy to navigate.
Looking forward to staying again during future visits to the region.

We stayed in the accessible room. Very well appointed and easy to move around in. Nice and quiet and the availability of fresh milk was lovely — even had lactose free. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed her for 5 nights, room not serviced. Bin in room not emptied. Water pressure in shower very low; hot water took ages to heat up. Lots of dust in room.
All of this is actually a pity as the room was generally well presented.

Cute Motel set in the main street of Kilmore. Booked a Superior King room. Clean and has all the amenities you would need — well equipped kitchenette for a couple, microwave and fridge. Plenty of space and table and chair to sit at if needed. Customer service helpful, certainly from the standpoint of arriving later in the evening. Received a text during the day with directions on locating the key. The room was set back from the main road and was quiet. Sadly, the bed was way too hard and prevented a good night's sleep. Unfortunately, in the morning the shower had no hot water (temperature and water itself). Fortunately had the number from the text the day before and they were able to fix the issue, turn the water on, within about 15 mins. An oversite? most likely. If we had chosen to shower late the previous evening, we may not have had the situation dealt with as quickly.
We had hoped we would be regular guests (new grandbaby nearby) at this motel but with the bed being simply unusable, we can no longer consider Fox on the Run for our stays.

The Motel service was very accommodating. We were to arrive late in the evening and they organized key pickup outside business hours and text the instructions during the day. The We stayed in the king room. It was quiet and set back from the main road. Clean and tidy and had a microwave and kitchenette facilities which was great. Sadly, the bed was so hard (no give at all) that our night's sleep was lacking in rest. Too hard for any reasonable comfort. Unfortunately, the next morning getting ready for a shower there was no hot water. An oversite, most likely. Fortunately, with the text I received the previous day, I contacted that number and it was turned on within 15 mins. However, had we decided to shower later the previous evening, it may not have been able to be sorted. Customer service at reception was friendly and accommodating. Our thoughts were to utilize this motel for regular visits with our new Grandchild, however, the bed is so hard we'll have to give it a miss. A shame really as it had a good vibe.

Clean and good shower. However tiny room and terrible mattress on bed. Beds only small double size. Lousy TV reception! Photos look terrific. Prefer to go 10 mins further into Broadford.

Had a fairly new Superior King room. Everything spot on bar 2 things. TV reception is temperamental & when did they did the rooms, as many motels do, they skimped on the beds. Disappointing they fall into that trap to save a few $$$
Rooms were quiet.

Was unexpectedly upgraded to a newly renovated king room. It was a gorgeously decorated spacious, modern, immaculately clean room. With classy cabinetry & kitchenette & large luxurious bathroom with plenty of storage. The feel & look surpasses the online photos. Located within walking distance to Aldi, Woolworths, McDonalds, KFC & many other retail & food shops. Location, location. Would readily return & recommend.

From the moment I arrived, the owner was incredibly friendly and communicated so well — it really made the whole experience effortless. I was even given a free upgrade, and WOW… this wasn’t just a motel room — it felt like a 5-star hotel suite! ✨
The king bed was unbelievably comfortable, the room was spotless, modern, and beautifully presented. Off-street parking made everything convenient, and the location couldn’t be better — close to all the local facilities and attractions.
It’s rare to find this level of service and quality in a motel. I’ll definitely be staying here again — highly recommend to anyone visiting the area! 👏👏

Don't really wanna share this lovely place to stay in Kilmore. I may not get a room next time. Stayed here twice now and they couldn't be more accommodating no pun intended. Rooms are very nicely appointed. Very clean and modern with a small but very serviceable kitchenette, bathrooms are spacious and the soaps and shampoos are excellent quality, beds are very comfortable, smart tv's so you can stream as well on the various platforms, what more could you want for a night away from home. Located right next to KFC and Shell Reddy Express which is open till 8pm and opens at 5am. Coffee is nice (also some grocery supplies just in case) and a 24hr Mc Donald's for any late night beverages or food. Looking forward to the next time I could stay there. It's not to far from the airport for me.

An overnight stay on our way home. We hadn't stayed in Kilmore before and it seems to have plenty of local attractions and food options. The motel gave us an upgrade which was great. The room was spacious, well laid out and quiet. The amenities would comfortable, functional and clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Fox on the Run Motel is our favourite stop over after visiting family beyond Melbourne. We have always found the rooms to be clean, tastefully styled and with a good supply of crockery, cutlery and even dishwashing liquid and tea towels. Bathroom amenities also excellent. Management in office always friendly. Supermarkets within short walking distance as is the main shopping strip and cafes.

This was a great motel to stay at for a night. Great late night after hours check in, and reception was great with helping me organise details and check-in. Lovely rooms too. Had little treats, tea and coffee, a TV and a super comfy bed to rest in. Definitely recommend for a couple nights stay in Kilmore.

After check in, you receive fresh milk for the room. Other nice touches were the spots of colour and patterns in the room. All the furniture and the beds are of great quality. Little chocolates and biscuits were left with tea/coffee facilities. So, much little detail has gone into creating a very pleasant stay for their guests. Fantastic accommodation.

If you are going to Kilmore — you must stay here if you are looking for friendly service and impeccable room stay — I was upgraded to a room and I was so blown away with it — so modern and beautiful with a view. I also love how it was on the main street so you are close to so many shops and places to eat out at. I loved my stay so much. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at fox on the run over two nights. Our room was clean, airy and light. The soft lighting and heater was on to greet us as we arrived. With walking distance to restaurants & supermarkets, it’s situated perfectly in the heart of Kilmore. Thanks for such a great stay.

Last minute booking due to power outage in the area. Louise was most obliging when she heard of the dilemma and we managed to get th last room, which was a 2 room unit to boot. The location is great and as we were at the back of the property, it was really quiet.
Would definitely recommend Fox on the run if you need a comfortable place to stay.
