Echuca Motel

Keep your kids away from the pool.
We booked this motel specifically because it had a pool. On the first day we went in the pool and found that it wasn't being properly maintained. The water was cloudy with lots of dirt and debris floating in it and with green algae all around the sides of the pool. It hadn't been touched in ages. People had scratched words into it.
Spoke with the owner and found out that he didn't know the first thing about pool maintenance and had been relying on a fortnightly visit from a local pool guy. He knew there were problems but said they couldn't work out what they were. I told him to close the pool because it was a health hazard but he just put a cover over it.
After returning from Echuca we saw two elderly people in the pool. They'd simply removed the cover. I warned them about the high possibilities of bacteria and infections from the dirty water and went to see the owner again. He had to be told to lock the pool off (which he didn't do) and put up CLOSED signs, which he did.
The next morning, because he hadn't locked it, some children were in the pool. Once again I had to explain the seriousness of the situation to the owner and to try and explain to him that he needed to lock the gate, buy a pool water testing kit and to test the water every other day minimum. He nodded and agreed but we didn't observe him doing either.
From what we could gather, they're new owners who don't know the first thing about running a motel properly.

This was a terrible motel.
Not only was the carpet wet (with the heater left on and pointed towards the carpet as I entered the room, presumably a feeble attempt to dry the carpet before I checked in) but the windows had a sheet of mould, obviously haven't been cleaned in years. The whole room stank of wet and mould, I had to refuse the room and went to another motel. I do not recommend coming here.

Stayed 7 nights and no housekeeping, while the Internet turned off around 9pm for some reason.

Bed is hard as a rock, secondary smoke from outside pours into your room, shower is tiny and hot water fluctuates hot cold hot cold, heater doesn’t work, I had to replace the TV remote batteries.

Older type motel but clean large rooms and comfy bed with electric blanket, large showers with nice hot water. Great value for money.

Ok motel but well out of Echuca if you haven’t got a car and the rooms are dated and the doors don’t feel secure.

Very impressed! Beautiful feel to the room, fantastic customer service. Location is 10/10.

This motel is good value. Nothing special but good bed, big bathroom, nice TV. Basic content (towels, soaps, tea/coffee, tissues etc) but nothing special Outside of the town centre but only. 5 minute drive. Reception is t very friendly but efficient.

PROS — The family room was isolated from the other rooms, which was great, as It meant you couldn’t hear anyone next to you. Staff were friendly & helpful.
CONS — However, the door was very hard to open and damaged, the beds were uncomfortable and sagging. The TV is located above the bench but the only people who can watch it is whomever is in the queen bed. There’s a couch next to the queen bed, but you can’t see TV due to the bathroom wall in the way. The other 2 beds were partitioned off by a wall, so no watching TV. There were only 2 chairs at the table for 3 people. The bathroom walls were dirty, there was nowhere to put dishes down in bathroom as this is where you had to wash them. The shower base was disgusting and it was just a lid covering the drain, easily removed, and a child could easily put their arm down there.
Water pressure wasn’t the best. I realise it’s a 3 star Motel but could be a lot better.

For the price it was awesome. Had the coincedence of bumping into my cousin and my brothers family. Pool was lovely. If anything I would say there is a bit of traffic but that comes with a motel. They had a lovely garden, lots of succulents and some nice seating as well.

In order, the rooms were older but very clean. The person at the counter was very accommodating. It is out a bit from the CBD but still in a great location. One point. I have a high vehicle, which excludes me from entering a lot of the motels, with silly, low alcoves. This motel has plenty of head room for larger vehicles.
Free washing machine and dryer. Also, a basic kitchen if you want to 'eat in. ' Very special attributes these days. Price was most likely the best in Echuca, easily up to $40 a night cheaper than some. I can not recommend this motel enough.

Great central location near the Campaspe walking track.
Carparking can be tight if your vehicle has high roof racks. Perfect for a normal sedan.
Great place to stay for a very reasonable price.

A nice cheap option to stay at if you need an affordable place to stay at in Echuca, however the quality of the stay wasn’t the best.
Positives.
-Affordable compared to other motels.
-Offers a lot of utilities in the room (microwave, hair dryer, stovetop, TV with channels and streaming apps).
-A laundry and kitchen room that's free of extra cost.
-Plenty of parking space.
-Room was clean.
-Beds were comfortable.
-Chill and laid back staff.
-Location isn't too far from other shops.
Negatives.
-Lack of amenities around the motel.
-No daily room service.
-Strange smell from the pillows.
-The paint was coming off some of the walls.
-One of the power outlets was damaged.
Overall, It’s a good option if you just need an affordable place to stay for a few nights, but don’t expect anything luxurious.

Friendly staff, room was very clean and tidy. Will stay again.

Decent price for a room, queen bed and quite comfortable. Bathrooms are a little outdated but overall reasonable for a motel.

Went away on a girls weekend. The room I shared with my friend was disgusting. The mattress was so uncomfortable 😫 you could feel every spring, it was dirty, the bathroom had mould. The microwave and kettle was next level disgusting. The other friends that had the other rooms were covered in bed bug bites. Absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed.
