Dargo River Inn

Waking up at the Dargo River Inn is easily one of the best views in the country! Family run Business they’re all really lovely and welcoming. No request too hard.
I will certainly be back and I’m telling others!

We stayed at the Dargo River Inn for 5 days in the Wongungarra cabin. 2 adults and 3 Kids. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. Kelly, Greg and all staff for that matter were very friendly and accommodating. Food and pub atmosphere was excellent and a big plus. We enjoyed many games of pool by the fire place and chatted with many other friendly patrons. Definately will be back. Thank you Kelly and Greg for the memories, keep up the good work its very much appreciated :)

I’ve been staying here at the River Inn for work for the last 4 weeks.
Kelly the hostess with the mostess has cooked us off the menu roast dinners.
Only to happy to cater for our needs.
Always knows what we drink and is ready on the bar when we walk in.
Also lets us park our trucks on site.
The accommodation is very comfy and clean and neat.
Clean sheets, showers kitchen etc.

We absolutely loved our stay at Dargo River Inn. We had a powered site and a great time staying there. The hosts Kelly and Greg as well as Julie are so friendly and lovely to chat too. The scenery is amazing and the locals are always up for a chat. We will definitely be returning even if it is just for the chicken kiev and Mexican parmi.

My husband and I stayed for a couple of nights and we loved every minute of it.
The caravan area was very clean, and very looked after. The amenities were very clean and ok for what there is.
With the Inn being on the premises made it even better, no worries about having a drink or meals if you don’t feel like cooking.
Kelly, Greg and the crew are all lovely and helpful people.
If you are there when Kelly cooks a good old fashion roast pork you’d be mad to miss out. All the other food that we had were also very lovely.
We left feeling like we found a new family.
Oh and the views are stunning.
We will be going back very soon.

Late booking in, late for breakfast & we were still welcomed with a smile.
Siarra made the best breakfast that I’ve had in a long time.

Stayed 2 nights in our van, the grounds are immaculate, lovely thick grass in the camp area. Gorgeous views. Great food at the Inn. Very friendly hosts and staff. Thanks.

Absolutely loved the stay. Clean cabins and everything you need for the stay. Beautiful property, stunning views.
Kelly and the staff were awesome. Great pub and atmosphere 👌. Stayed only for one night with 3 families and kids.
Kids loved it. Will definitely come back for few nights again! Highly recommended!

What a gem of a find! Unfortunately, it's overshadowed by the Dargo hotel.
We ended up here after booking into Dargo hotel camping for NYE. First mistake! Dargo hotel was full of riff raff, so we quickly retreated!
We rolled into the River Inn, asking Kelly, the owner, if there were any rooms. But we ended up getting a camping spot. So much more flat and less crowded than Dargo hotel camp grounds. Food and drinks were great! And a great band on for NYE.
I'd choose the River Inn over Dargo hotel any time. Kelly, the owner, deserves a MASSIVE shout out for the incredible job she's done on the place! 👏👏
If you're keen to check out Dargo Hotel, whilst maintaining your peace & ssnity, it's a 12 min walk up the road.

We just had three nights at the dargo river inn and the experience could not have been better. We camped, then stayed in a cabin then decided to stay another night and camp. The cabins were fantastic and camp ground was beautiful well kept lawn. We at the dargo river inn all 3 nights, the food was great, the service was great and the whole place just had a really good ambience about it. Hats off to the owners for such a great place.

Accommodation is really good and value for money and location is as good as anywhere for Dargo and the pub has good food and staff are super friendly and approachable. The views are excellent from the rooms and the pub.
Will definitely stay there again.

Visit this pub and camping ground.
Kelly the manager was helpful and friendly. The meals were fabulous. Camping on very flat ground. The toilets were spotlessly clean. The shower was basic and an unusual set up (2 showers and toilet in one large room)
Unfortunately the night we stayed there were a number of motor bikes making a great noise but that was just an unfortunate night.

We didn’t stay at the Dargo River inn but popped in for a shower and to do some washing while we were camping in the local area. The Staff were very understanding, helpful and accommodating. We managed to get four of us through hot showers and a big load of clothes washed and dried. Highly recommend! Will be back to stay some time.

Have been visiting Dargo since the 80s & love the area, people & hospitality. Have stayed in swags, tents, campers, houses, motel & log cabins & have enjoyed them all. This time we brought friends to the area & our caravans & stated on powered site at The River Inn. Had a fantastic time even thought it was cold & when it got wet visited River Inn for drinks & a great meal. We will be back 😘

A short 10 day trip across the high country, over Mount Hotham, down the Dargo High Plains road, 130 kilometres from home, just under 4 hours, it gave the caravan a workout, as snow was starting to fall. Were getting old and soft, a powered site beside the Dargo River Inn, happy hour, dinner and many drinks in front of the fire… Annie has the van a toasty 21c with the reverse cycle cranking… We pre booked and arrived to find great campsites with new toilets and showers being commissioned. A fantastic, friendly place well managed by Kelly, perfect for a few days or longer.

This pub was awesome. Came into the pub after being out in the extreme weather on the bikes. They made us feel welcome and hog the fire place to defrost. The owner was an absolute gem and even kept the pub open late for us while we waited for our sleeping gear. Food and beer was perfect!
