Would not recommend the Commodore on the park ever again as we spent a lot of money in there last night. Steak was dry pasta was cold waited two hours and not one thing was done about it except for a a free shots of alcohol. Well I don’t think that’s good enough my son should’ve had his money refunded. Is absolutely disgusting.

Lovely delicious meal — barramundi cooked perfectly and in beautiful surroundings very tastefully decorated atmosphere, lovely.

We recently dined @ The Commodore, both ordering steak, both pieces were dry (I even had jus with mine & still dry) my daughters had at least a quarter of it was thick hard gristle that she couldn’t even cut through. The waitress was super & offered to take it back to the kitchen, but we suggested our sides would go cold in the meantime & continued to try & eat it but it just wasn’t enjoyable. The manager I believe her name Emma, she was advised of the situation, when we went to pay she couldn’t escape to the kitchen quick enough. Sadly this is the second time I have dined her & the meals were disappointing. $45 for a steak to send at least half back to kitchen 😞 Back to the Barn in future.

Were always pleased with our room, but this king-size suite top it. Able to walk to main street which is only 12 minutes walk. We love it here.

We’ve been coming to the Commodore for many years for special occasion dinners and have never been disappointed. That was until last night. Even though the food was good, it was a bit light on and we felt that it wasn’t very good value for money.

I’m incredibly disappointed with the Commodore. I usually really enjoy going there for a meal however on Saturday night a friend and I dined there, we both ended up very sick. Not only is that disappointing after a nice night out, my friend rang them to inform them that we were both quite ill. She was told that she would be contacted the next day because the manager was out. Not only had a seen the manager there that night, but they also didn’t return her call. I was still quite sick the next day.
When you spend upwards of $100 for a meal, you’d like to think a venue would take potential food poising seriously. Clearly not…

Air conditioner fell off the ark and is so loud! NO INTERNET despite it being offered as a feature. Room is clean and comfortable but very dated! Room service is very expensive, very limited in it's offering and there is a surcharge. Room price is too much for what you get. Will stay somewhere else next time.

The food was wonderful but poor service. Waited 15 minutes for a dessert menu and never got one then had to wait over 5 minutes to pay.

Nice place for private parties and functions. Food is very good a little pricey but worth it. Great service.

Nice rooms, great location, had a beautiful breakfast in fine dining restaurant.

We were there for a private function, the meal was a set menu & came out in a timely manner. The bar was understaffed for the amount of people there on the night, they seem to have been doing table service to the general restaurant. Which left the bar understaffed.

Room was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. Good central location.

Staff are lovely but I was booked into an unrenovated room. Not impressed by the old 90’s decor, dirty marks on couch and rusty looking fridge. I expected a lot better.

We stayed I a recently updated room with a king sized bed. The room was very comfortable. The Commodore has a cozy bar with a gas fire. We didn't dine there so I can't rate the food or service. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place without a problem.

My friend Sonja and I stay there last night. We had the best room didnt look good from the outside but the room in the inside look really nice… Love that we had a double bed each. Good size TV everything was great… But I think the aircon should be upgraded apart from that was awesome. Its a good spot too not far from everything which I love. We will come back there again for sure. Thanks.

We took our mum for dinner Friday night, all ours meals were delicious, our waiter was very professional and a lovely lad, the restaurant is a beautiful place to dine, beautifully decorated and it was nice to be in a place that wasn't noisy.

Good sized rooms with basic amenities. Quiet place too, with ample parking spaces. Stayed for a couple of nights last winter, the heating in the room was good. Location wise the motel is situated very close to food places in town. Easy to get breakfast, lunch and dinner at any time of the day. Fast food places just 5 mins drive down the road. Overall a good place to stay for a short period of time if you're doing a road trip or passing through town.

Friendly staff, rooms are tidy and well appointed. Could use more power points in them. Restaurant was really good.

Great hotel that is reasonably priced. They have a nice pool that is great for families. There is a McDonald just beside this place in case you have to grab a quick breakfast before you continue your travels. There is a restaurant on site, but the prices are expensive and Mcdonald's is a much better value. Also, if you don't mind walking about a kilometer, you can eat a many places in the downtime section of Mount Gambier.

We stayed in a two bedroom room which was very spacious and tidy. The facilities were all very modern and was quite clean. Was easy to find as it was just off the main road.

The room is clean, and new looking. The bathrooms looked luxury and equipped with some high tech gadgets. Good place to spend a night on.

Very good value for money. Well located in the city of Warrnambool, it is a good place to fall. The rooms are spacious and clean. The only weak point would probably be the level of some rooms that have connecting doors, thus reducing noise insulation. But for the many families this allows to connect two rooms between them… According to.

We came for the inexpensive accommodation and decided to eat at the resteraunt. The meals were fantastic, the deserts amazing. We will be coming back again.

Only issue with room with a little one who wanted to run outside with no way of locking the door from the inside to stop of slow this. Otherwise was fine to stay at.

We got a delux studio with balcony. The room is actually on the ground floor so the balcony is rather a verandah. I Think it's kindda misleading. Room is renovated and good size with clean bathroom. Satisfied with the room. Restaurant : Waited 45 min after placing the order (ordered two dishes only). But the food was good. So not too disappointed.

Very comfortable, very clean & excellent service & value. Definitely a great place to stay while in Mt Gambier & would not only recommend to others but would also happily stay here again :)

Always had a nice stay in the refurbished rooms… Use the place whenever I'm on business in MG. Infact I'm in one of their immaculately presented rooms as I write this.

Really friendly staff, great food at the adjoining restaurant. However, some facilities were out of order in my room and I could not find an iron (my room did have an ironing board though). These things are small however given the personability of staff and the overall experience.

Advertising a balcony and producing a terrace is misleading. Staff becoming defensive and unprofessional when asked about the balcony advertising set the standard of this establishment. Service was rude and unhelpful. Only saving grace was the delicious food. Great chef.

Great clean and modern rooms. Staff were really friendly. Location is fantastic and very central. Ample towels, toiletries, tea and coffee supplies provided. Only issue was noise — from surrounding rooms and the road but this is very common at motels so wasnt a big deal for us. Would definitely recommend Commodore on the Park for anyone wanting a clean, reasonably priced, central option in Mt Gambier.

I found my experience to be excellent. All staff were friendly, cheerful & always quick to assist with a smile. It felt like home. All staff quickly remembered me & greeted me by name, even Chris the chef (who is excellent in his culinary skills by the way). The reception staff, bar staff, kitchen staff & cleaning staff were so very friendly & excellent at their jobs that it made my stay at the Commodore On The Park a memorable one. I will certainly be back. I am very happy to recommend them to everyone & so very pleased to do so ☺

We stayed in a Deluxe Studio last night (1 king size bed, and 1 King Single bed) and its the best motel I have stayed in. Most motels are kinda drab and run down. Not this one! The reception lady was very polite and nice, very efficient and helpful. The bar staff were friendly and made a great morning coffee to take away for the car journey. The rooms are very clean and NEW. Bathroom brand new with all new fancy fittings. Nice job. I'd stay there again for sure and advise my friends and family too.

$125 with cooked brekkie for 2 of wotif. Not a bad place at all. Very clean close to everthing. Downside have to pay for net. But you can walk 100metres down the road to the info centre and get it for free. If your new to town make sure you look at the Blue lake worth the stop. Bed was way to firm for my liking, tele was huge, but was sitting on a tall boy so had to physically move it if you wished to watch it from the sofa. Try to run it like a Hotel. Only negative that I found about this Motel was when I was having brekkie, I could hear a conference that was going on, and I assume the bloke that runs the restaurant, told the girls to start getting the tables ready for a function. So a bit like what am I in your way here. As I said I think he runs it, as when I walked in he was in mufti sitting down at a table, looked like a punter. As I said try to run it like a Hotel without the class. If you get it for a Motel price, you wont be dissappointed.
