When I first arrived I didn't think much of the park. To me it was just another park that had nothing to offer. The camp kitchen was right at the end of the park and the handicap amenity was in main building at the entrance. To me it was odd but after been there for a few days I understood why. The kitchen was away from campers so that it would not disturbed anyone and the handicap amenity is close to the staff in case you need help. So the idea is quiet clever indeed.
The main showers are made with non slip stone like which is awesome. There is plenty of BBQ's for all to enjoy. We stayed in both a powered site and then in one of their cabins and found them both fantastic.
Being a bit further from the beach front made it well protected from the wind which made our stay very pleasurable.
The only thing that I would recommend is that if you would like to use the disabled amenity I would suggest that you bring a non slip mat as the floor is very slippery when wet and preferably your own chair too.
Park is always kept clean and the town is full of paintings on their walls which is enjoyable to see. As for the chemist, the gentleman that helped us was very helpful and taking the time to answer all our questions as was the mechanic across the road from the park. We also went to a little shop called Waterloo Bay Cafe where we were treated like kings. The staff was amazingly helpful and went out of their way to get some food for our two little dogs. During our stay we had to see a vet which came to Elliston every so often who was able to help us with our little boy who had an ear infection.
So to sum up, whether you stay one night or one month you will have a very enjoyable experience :)
