Review of Clare Valley Motel 3*

Went to stay here with a voucher I was gifted, upon arrival walking into the reception area we noticed an awful strong smell we walked upto reception and the lady wasn't overly friendly she had a diffuser going on the desk (that you could not smell due to the horrible overpowering smell) she gave me the key to room number 1 upon walking in the room the same awful smell was there plus the strong smell of mould. This was so irritating that my skin flared up and caused an allergic reaction. I dialled 9 for reception and let her know that we couldn't stay in the room and we needed a refund she said she would be down soon and that she was on the phone to someone else after waiting 15 mins and still no one we walked to reception she was sitting at the desk not on the phone no one in line… Again it was mentioned about the smell the mould and the dust and bugs in the window seal and bed head she said I have room 29 but no spa if you would like to check that out I give the benefit of the doubt and go check it out and again the same awful smell and mould and bugs and rust on furniture it was horrible. So we returned the key and said sorry its the same and im happy for you to keep a fee if you must however the rest to be refunded please. She said I will need to speak to someone about what to do I asked if she was the receptionist or owner and SHE IS THE OWNER! I said if your the owner then you should be able to work out the difference and refund the remaining she said I WOULD NEED TO THINK ABOUT IT AND CALL YOU BACK… this is absolutely terrible im absolutely disgusted! especially when you get the call back stating no refund will be given at all and the rooms are clean and don't smell well my photos prove otherwise $186 FOR A SMELLING DIRTY FILTHY ROOM IS BEYOND NO WONDER YOU HAVE IT UO FOR SALE ITS RUN DOWN AND HORRIBLE AND IM ON MY WAY BACK HOME TO ADELAIDE.
