The grounds are so relaxing, staff are awesome, we sat outside with a beautiful cheese platter and tasted some wines was awesome. Would recommend everyone to go there for a visit.

Lovely natural setting with well equipped comfortable rooms. Pool is badly maintained and the 'retreat' needs some TLC in places. Gardens in front of pavilion are beautiful. Ideally situated to explore the Barossa Valley.

Beautiful expansive gardens. Very private & quiet. Wonderful romantic get-away in charmingly rustic loft-style apartment. Celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary there. We’ll be back. Thank you!

I can appreciate wanting to stay in a place with history and rustic appeal, but I don't want to use an 1890's shower head. The location is great and the grounds are very well presented. It's a little too expensive for what it is though.

The setting is amazing. Stayed in Nitschke Loft Suite, quaint but unfortunately heating NON OPERATIONAL down stairs and they knew it and did nothing about it… so for $399 per night without heating not very good at all. The fact they knew about the heating not working (investigated and saw it was switched off at the mains and a confiscated remote) very unprofessional. Hence the bathroom was freezing! They could have organised a small portable little blow heater at a cost of $20-$40, but just didn't care! Have emailed twice since our stay without response. Arrival setup, very hit and miss, no reception, just lucky an existing tenant pulled up behind us to enter the code to open the gates, then had to wander around until running into someone who showed us the room (without telling us the heating wasn't working). Attitude is take the money and run! Breakfast held in the Pavilion, was lovely. Would love to stay again in summer as the gardens, pool and setting are beautiful, but unfortunately wouldn't risk it now.

Is very fancy I liked it the food was very nice and the wine was beautiful. But far out it is quite expensive for what it is but I recommend it if you have quite a bit of spending money.

One of the best places in barossa!

Had a wonderfull meal and great wine at Jacobs Creek winery, while wandering around we managed to show our English guest, Blue Wrens, the wonderful Gum tree out the front of the tasting room and restaurant plus a number different gums, and wild life.
A really great experience for our English visitor, as she drinks Jacobs Creek wines in U. K. And wanted to visit where they came from.
It succeeded in spades.

Very quiet serene, the perfect place to relax and unwind.

We are in garden heaven! This retreat is beautiful, private and romantic. We stayed 3 nights and wish we could stay longer. Thea is a legend! Best breakfast we have ever had, and her local knowledge is second to none. Pricey but worth every penny. We absolutely love it here.

My 2nd visit and loved it, found many more lists of beverages I really liked, staff are great, wine is great and views are fantastic.

Beautiful tucked away wonderland. This old world charmer is divine. The suite we were staying in was so pretty, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The grounds are also beautiful. I do wish they had an onsite restaurant for Lunch.

Extremely poor service, shabby/ cheap rooms and massively overpriced. Website paints a completely different picture to reality. No bar, no food, no ambience. Pool was very nice though but again the place was letdown by torn poolside chairs.

This accomodation is set in a beautiful part of Jacobs Creek. Travel time from Tanunda is only 7 Minutes. Overseas tourist are guaranteed to see wildlife on the road to the retreat. It is a real treat for tourists to see kangaroos in the wild. The retreat itself has historic old stone buildings which are luxurious for the guests. The gardens bring pleasure to all that stay there. Perfect place for a romantic get away. The cellar door has a range world class wines for tasting and purchase. The resorrt backs on to Jacobs Creek probably the most known creek in South Australia. Barossa Taxis has has a long association supplying transport to Jacobs Creek guest for many years. It's always a pleasure to hear peoples nice comments about the resort.

This place with his seven suites, nestled in a huge park in the Barossa is for sure one of the best places in the world and definitely the best owner and staff! It is so peaceful and made with love!
