Tonight's choice for dinner come highly recommended with great reviews on trip adviser. Situated in amongst the vineyards I had high hopes. We were greeted by friendly staff in beautifully decorated restaurant with typical winery style attire. A small menu seamed to scream sophistication.
We started our order with oysters Kirkpatrick, kangaroo and chorizo crumbed croquettes and slow cooked pork belly confit filled by sirloin steak and ocean trout. We were also treated to a gift of deep fried native sage served on a rock.
I'd give this meal crap out of 10.

Food was amazing, service was just as good. Got the chefs choice menu and was very happy with the selections. Way better then the chefs choice at Maggie Beers which wasn’t that great. Thank you for having us, I highly recommend Lyndoch Hill, you will not be disappointed.

Excellent hosts who know how to create the perfect events. The venue, food, drinks & entertainment provided were all top class.

Thoroughly dissatisfied with the service at Lyndoch hill. From the outside it's gorgeous, but staying their was horrendous. We had paid the full amount for the room only to be told by the greedy manager we were to pay for every person on top of that. The way he spoke to us was disgusting and should not be tolerated. Plenty better places in the Barossa. Stay away from this one.

Menu was full of fresh food from the their own garden. Lots of vegetarian options plus chicken, fish and steak dishes. Staff were fantastic, very friendly and attentive. Beautiful evening.

Absolutely vile, outdated, dirty, horrible, smelly rooms. DO NOT STAY HERE! Photos are not the rooms they actually have.
We left within 10 minutes of arriving!

The Venison Ragu was amazing, lovely service and good music playing for ambience… Brilliant wine list and a beautiful setting.

I was lucky enough to have a VIP experience here, with the chef's choice, a delicious 6 course meal. My dietary requirements were accounted for, they excelled at customer service and the fresh, tasty, unique dishes.
We will definitely be back again in the future!

3 of us ate vegan here on saturday night and we all agreed it was one of the best meals we have ever had. The potatos/eggplant/lentils/cashew miso were fresh and full of flavour (would suggest adding this to the menu as a standard vegan option! ). Even the sorbet we were given was amazing. Thanks to the chef! Staff were friendly and helpful too. Can't wait to come back!

The service was atrocious! Not unfriendly staff but some customers over serviced whilst others ignored.
Complimentary starter (tempura wild sage) was amazing. The bread tasted like cake and the butter was too melted. The mains (sirloin) tasty but fatty, the (chicken) skin chewy. The sides roasted potatoes (some soft some rock hard) and carrots (hard and raw). Desserts (brûlée) overcooked but no crunchy top and chocolate torte undercooked.
All in all disappointing and over priced
Would not recommend and will not return.

This place is revolting! Bedroom side has been presented ok, but bathrooms are absolutely disgraceful! booked and paid for 2 nights and left without staying because it was so bad, and only received a partial refund. I don't know how they're still operating.

The highlight for me is always visiting the Barossa Chateau and seeing all the antiques and feeling all the grandeur of the Chateau… we also enjoyed the l… leave it to the chefs dinner. It was a very pleasant experience complete with exceptional service … of course you could say a little run down … but so are the prices … or you could say a little rustic charm and affordable.

We stayed 2 nights, although it needs a wee bit of remodeling, it’s still a wonderful place with fabulous value and food options and service. The Rose garden is beautiful.

Good place to stay, not fancy but clean. Nice to walk around the gardens before a great breakfast. Had Happy Hour drinks and a fantastic dinner.

Romantic, incredible food and fantastic staff! Our waitress Krista was amazing! Both professional and friendly. Please try their chefs selection menu with paired wines it was incredible! We love Lyndoch Hill!

Absolutely loved our stay here rooms are a bit dated but very comfortable in the staff here absolutely amazing we had a waitress the whole weekend 9 to Christa Always a friendly smile and never once forgot to say hello and welcome back she was adorable highly recommend to stay here.

Absolutely amazing. The best way to start our Barossa Valley experience, and so affordable.

Place has huge potential but sadly it was disappointing. STAFF are excellent! buffet breakfast was a massive let down. Rooms are quite dated but very clean. Mattress uncomfortable and a very very cold bathroom considering 2 degrees outside middle of winter! suggestion make it warm and comfy and better food and you'll have a winner!

Omg. Absolutely the best meal I have ever eaten. The food was matched beautifully with the wines to compliment the food. The new Canadian chef is a genius. 11/10.

Absolutely gorgeous scenery. Compliments to the chef for the amazing food, we tried most of the menu throughout our stay and it was all wonderful! Creed wine was also delicious, found a few new faves. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were reasonable and the decking was quite small but all in all a great place to stay.

My wife and I had a spur of the moment stay for a Overnight Getaway and was greeted by Shae the Receptionist at our check In, she was very helpful when I inquired about availability for any suitable Accommodation for a surprise stay that I had planned for Christmas. Looking forward to surprising my mother Inlaw come Christmas time, after checking in we found our room and settled in before a Exquisite meal in the restaurant… from a retired Chef I always look forward to a meal that I don’t have to cook myself and it was Amazing, both my wife and I started off with oysters done two ways and was a great starter… then Karen had the Kingfish while I had the Fillet Stk both dishes were faultless and finished off with Dessert also very Yummy… compliments to the Chef’s and the waiting staff… definitely look forward to another opportunity to Stay and Dine here again 10 outer 10 from Karen & Greg.

Liked the location… the staff were accommodating and friendly… breakfast was sufficient… however the toilet smelt like raw sewage was leaking out into the room and the fan didn't help… rooms were tired and dated… happy hour was disappointing as was the cocktail… prices in restaurant were high… lucky on scoopon deal would never pay full price…

We arrived yesterday and were greeted by the friendly staff and two dogs. Room was tired but clean and comfortable. Happy hour on the balcony with a cheese platter was great. Did a wine tour today with John from Getaway, would recommend it. Booked through Scoopons with no problems.

Recently stayed at Lyndoch Hill after purchasing a Scoopon voucher. Disappointed to find that the restaurant and bar both closed on a Sunday. Scoopon does mention that the restaurant is closed, doesn't say that there isn't even a bar. Hotel room was a tired looking motel room, a far cry from the photos of the main building. And the information given that the $99 Scoopon voucher is a saving of $173 from a normal room price of $272 is simply misleading. Looking on your website direct, I can't see those rooms offered at anything like that price. Any of your rooms in fact.

The food here was wonderful. So fresh & delicious. Highly recommended! We will definitely come back when we are in the Barossa.

This place is awesome… food would have to be the best I've ever had totally recommend this place.

Entree main dessert and my god the Martini's incredible.
And I can't go past the service it was remarkable it was so lovely spending our anniversary here… even got a free glass of bubbly thanks guys this place is awesome.

3 x 50 to 60yr old ladies from Perth dinned here 04/04/17. Cold, bland food. We advised staff. Nothing changed. Food came out the same. Manager and waitress just argued with us. Terrible experience. Never dine again there.

My husband and I were married here in 2015 and came back for our anniversary in 2016. The food here is AMAZING! It's carefully and beautifully prepared. They grow their own produce and you can see the veggie gardens for yourself. The ambience is relaxed and quiet with soft music as fine dining should be. You can sit outside and enjoy the lovely garden view. We spent quite a bit of money here but I can say it was totally worth it. I can also say the breakfast here is just as amazing and I am a huge breakfast lover.

Definitely best place for dinner very nice indoor and outdoor sitting. Very nice and quite environment.

OLD AND RUN DOWN! Very disappointed to say the least! Nothing like the pictures on the Website! Very old and run down, bathroom tiles horrid, no shower curtain, water stains on ceilings. Chose not to stay and got a refund!

Stayed here for 3 nights. The rose garden is extensive but the place is really run down. The restaurant had really great food which I didn't expect and was pleasantly surprised by. There is also have a high tea option that looked pretty good. Really quiet tranquil place in the garden, not a bad place to relax.

Barossa & Light Cab Service rate Lyndoch Hill Restaurant 5 out of 5 stars because this is a stunning world class restaurant that is situated in the lovely Lyndoch in the Barossa Valley. Breakfast is 8-10am. Happy hour is 4.30-6pm. And dinner is from 6pm. Barossa & Light Cab Service management have dinned here, and what we like about this restaurant is that fresh local and regional produce is used. Upon our visit we also found that the waiting staff to be very friendly, and after leaving I felt that the experience was memorable. Barossa & Light Cab Service recommend this restaurant to both tourists and locals.

Barossa & Light Cab Service love this destination especially as a wedding venue, the rose garden during the flowerong season is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, in South Australia. The resturant is also beautiful in everyway, and the accommodation on-site has guests staying near some great Barossa activities including the Lavender Farm, Wispering Wall & Barossa Helicopters.

The grounds here are lovingly cared for and presented magnificently. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. Its certainly a must have experience. The resturant is utterly beautiful. The restaurant has some inspired dishes on their menu and wonderful local gins and craft beers. I have to recommend the South Australia gin, pork croquettes entrée and the venison main. There were no dessert options which was just as well after the entrée and main! It is expensive though so be prepared for $40 mains. The inly downfall for me was the beds. I ache today from a less than ordinary nights sleep on a lumpy and unforgiving bed.

Great service. Beautiful are for the wedding I was pay off. Yummy breakfast. For the price I expected a little bit more from the rooms. Overall a pleasant experience.

Our entrees were fantastic, mains were ok, deserts were lacking. We had two deserts, both felt over frozen. A diner next to us ordered the same desert which looked totally different, so lacking consistency. The restaurant itself could do with an update, just some paint, carpet ect. Overall service was good, but attention could have been better. Very quaint.

We returned home today after 3 nights at Lyndoch Hill. Our room was spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable, large ensuite, useful benches & storage spaces. Beautiful rose gardens & magnificent views from the dining room. The art & antique tour was unbelievably brilliant! There are some things that could be improved, but even the most expensive places where we've stayed needed improvements! The lights all worked, the water ran, the hot water was hot, the fridge kept our food cold, the TV was perfect, the staff members were friendly, polite & helpful, we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts in the dining room. For what more could we ask?

We were excited about staying here but when we arrived, wow what a dated old dump. The pictures on their website must have been taken 35 years ago. The pool was old and the there is no spa at all. Go and take a look before staying here and I guarantee you wont go there. Food in restaurant was good but expensive. Avoid this place at all costs!

Great afternoon wine tasting and a great evening meal at Lyndoch Hill all for nothing when your room has a worn out mattress. I'm sleeping directly on the spring coil, I can feel the springs as I lay on the bed, very uncomfortable.

Stayed here last year in September, the rooms smelled foul … wasnt impressed at all… the restaurent good was 'OK' … AVOID at all cost.

Avoid this place by all means. When you read reviews, see online photographs etc everything looks hunky dory. But the place is not even average! I stayed there last year and got the shock of my life when I entered the room. Our dark cramped room had pre-historic yellow furniture with no microwave even. All it had was a tiny fridge and some old linen in the "Self contained room. " They seriously need to upgrade this place it is in pretty shabby state. If you really think I am exaggerating, its best you have a look at the rooms yourself before confirming the booking.

If you're just looking for somewhere to stay overnight and don't mind imperfections, even this isn't the place to stay. To add to the "4-star rating" the staff kindly placed a moldy floor mat over a patch of missing tiles in the bathroom. The bathroom door frame was split, all 3 beds were in 1 room no larger than 18 x13 ft. With a small cupboard housing a moldy kettle as the kitchen, no microwave and a rusty mini fridge, the term "self-contained" didn't seem to appear in this places vocabulary. Boasting an exuberantly expensive menu, the restaurant is sure to leave a hole in your pocket. I hope any visitors don't experience allergies with some linen as I'm sure the beds housed bedbugs. Not impressed at all.

Where to start! The waitress poured water onto the table while she was looking into space, and didn't apologise! Knocked our fork off the table, looked at it and walked off. Food was average at best. Over priced mains and definitely not worth the price. Service was cold and unfriendly. Will not recommend to anyone.

If you like extremely small food, expensive food, thats cold and service with rolled eyes. Then this is the place! We stayed in the accommodation and it was exactly like a 24 hour motel on the middle of nowhere, its very old and outdated. I definitely wouldnt reccommend this place, perhaps as a last resort you could get a good night sleep but thats about it. 'Not a romantic getaway at all. Also it states that that have a swimming pool and spa. Swimming pool was painfully cold and the spa had no water in it. The biggest disappointment was the restaurant! Do not dine there.
