Went to the lakes bistro last night with family. My wife ordered the veg. Stir fry with chicken as extra and duly paid for it … big mistake! Every piece of chicken was unpalatable / grisly, and some of the pieces strung together with fibrous material. To top that off, the vegetables consisted primarily of red and green cabbage with two pieces of capsicum and mushroom each. When I spoke to the cook who plated the dish at the oriental / roast bar, and showed him the dish, he blankly looked at me with his side kick, and offered to get the manager. I politely pointed out to him that he was the one who prepared the dish, and would have known it’s lack of edibility, and therefore should know better. At which point, having successfully challenged him and educated him, I disengaged the conversation and walked back to my table. My daughter and I shared our meal (those were fine) with my wife by obtaining another plate … “buyer beware”, is the lesson learned here.
