Fabulous Park wonderful staff third time here 💕

Only just arrived (yesterday) but seems like a well maintained park with good clean amenities, good playground for kids BUT as usual the ferals who think they can use the communal facilities & not clean up after themselves seem to be quite prevalent. What is wrong with people? Just amazes me that people can leave perfectly clean & tidy facilities in such an awful condition for the next person to have to clean! Get a life & give some consideration to others! 😢

Great spot, very clean ammenities, staff need to remember to give you bathroom code, especially when busting for toilet, lol cheers.

They are Pet friendly. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's right on the beach.

We stayed for a couple of days in a pet friendly cabin. It’s a nice park close to the beach. Great for walkies.

Cabins are fantastic very modern and very clean great work to staff and management.

My boyfriend and I recently booked out the weekend just gone in one of your cabins which we'd never done before and let me just say that it was the best decision. It was an awesome experience with much to see and do. We had the beach practically on our doorstep and the train station to Semaphore Central. The cabin was great. Such a comfortable bed and all that we needed. Lovely atmosphere. The pools were devine! Especially because of the weather. Definitely want to book again.

While the cabin we stayed at was lovely along with the beachfront location, the cleanliness was a bit lacking. The facilities are also very dated and in need of a revamp. Considering we paid $235 per night for the cabin I wouldn't stay again.

Unfortunately we were disappointed with our stay. Our beachfront villa was lovely on the inside but the park itself is very dated, small and the facilities are run down and limited compared to other discovery parks and other local options.

Have been going to Adelaide Beach front for Christmas for a number of years (every other year) and have never had a complaint, cabins are clean, fairly comfortable, park is quiet, safe for the children, beach is nearby, staff are fantastic. But, in 2018 gave the staff notice that the oven did not work in cabin 11 and had to cook Chrissy pork using the grill. Okay here in 2020 oven either burnt or under cooked our food, oven door either needs adjusting or replacing as it is losing all the heat and it took 3 hours to cook the pizza. Just these small maintenance issue with the oven just made the cooking so hard so nearly ruined our time. Have over the years been in quite a number of other sized cabins with no complaints.

Firstly the cabin was absolutely spotless, not like some parks I’ve stayed at. There’s so much for the kids to do, they love the heated pool. Its really relaxing and would definitely recommend this Discovery Park to friends and family, u get my very happy indeed.

Very disappointed in our stay over January. The cabin wasn’t very clean, The stove knobs were so easy to turn that our almost 2 yo almost killed us, By turning the gas on, While all windows and doors were shut. Our room, Was like sleeping with the lights on. The outdoor lights were that bright, We hardly got any sleep. The bathroom door didn’t shut, The front door popped open, Even when it was locked. 2 doors down had a wallet stolen & the Cabin next door had a domestic violence dispute, Police called.
Not to mention the cleaning staff were not very nice. I asked them for toilet paper as we had been their for 6 days and used our 2 rolls. They gave me one and said, Next time go to the front desk, Very rudely. Won’t be recommending nor coming back.

Great park close to the Beach and nice walk into Semaphore. Staff are friendly and helpful. The amenities are spotless and great they have a bath for young children. It is great it’s a dog friendly park, loved we could take our dogs with us

Nice clean and tidy park. Absolutely fantastic team at discovery. Made our stay relaxing and easy, less stressful and to get update text messages if any concerns with the park. Definitely go back again.

Great set up. Toilets, bath and showers so clean. Kitchenette amazing. Pool warmed. Jumping pillow and other activities for kids. Staff so lovely. Highly recommended.

Very disappointed with the lack of friendly service. I felt like a real inconvenience when I arrived and had questions. Facilities okay however quite worn and aged. Stayed at West Beach caravan park just down the road a few days later which was much better.

What a great part of Adelaide to stay in. Semaphore is just round the corner, great cafes, the beach, best museums… It's the best CBD caravan park and very clean, tidy and well priced.

Fantastic staff. Great location. Unfortunately our second room with the bunk beds was filthy. The beds weren't made and were covered in dirt. One mattress protector had a gross mark in it. The bunk beds squeaked on every movement too. The floor hadn't been vacuumed either. Other than that everything else was ok.

Great caravan park with a fantastic location! Staff are friendly and helpful and the accomodation is clean, tidy and suits your needs as a home away from home! My kids love it aswell with the jump pillow, pool and pedal carts as there main distraction currently! I will definately stay here again!

Gr8 place to stay stay were gr8 friendly helpful and very approcable also close to everything gr8 takeaway over the road would recommend this place for everyone. The only problem I found was the reverse aircon in our unit was very noicey and was loose besides that brilliant. Thanks to every one.

Nice caravan Park close to alot of historic attractions.

They are spending money on the caravan sites and they look good. Amenities are very good. The park is going to be very nice when all the work is completed.

Close to shops and beach, only abit windy at times. Neat park.

This is a fantastic place to stay would highly recommend it. Beach right near it.

Clean, tidy and well equipped. Great location and nicely kept grounds. Main road was surprisingly quiet from the park.

The park was nice, ground staff and cleaners were lovely to talk to BUT admin I have 2 words for you Customer relations, you need to look those words up.
We will come back because we like the location.

I find it hard to understand some people's reviews — the areas you complain about are cleaned therefore its the guests that make them filthy because some seem to believe that the staff should pick up after, clean up. After yourselves. I witnessed people getting crabby because they were told to remove glass from the pool area, being told to slow down when driving and being told to put on a helmet — people need to take responsibility for their own actions and abide by the rules, its pretty simple.
We have just returned home after the Australia Day weekend and had an absolute ball, Shane and Mim are treasures and a wonderful addition to the park, making changes since we were there last year. These are managers who are seen and constantly working hard to keep things nice for their guests.

Told them 3 times how big our van was and so did the people behind us yet the put 2 BIG vans back to back, not much room behind each van. Our site had ruts where wheels go, had to use levels and chocks. Not enough waste water drains. Our hoses would not reach our closest drain, which was shared by at least 6 — 8 other vans. As the drain had so many hoses in it it got clogged and overflowed. When another camper mentioned this to to a staff member his response was that he'll get to it later. Sites weren't manicured very well. We had long grass all around our site. We did see them mowing a site, but not using a catcher, so when the next camper comes in they will be walking grass into their van. On a positive note it is near a nice beach and they did have free unlimited Wi-Fi.

The park is quite run down. The camp kitchen is thilfy. It needs a really good hot water scrub. Kids riding around without helmets adults driving and talking on their mobiles. Caravan parked with tow bar facing inward nothing said to these people. I was walking my dog to the car and the manager 'Shane' very rudely asked "where is his lead? " "Put it around his neck" I know that he should have had his lead on but I was taking him to the car that was about 5 meters away. I don't mind being asked to do anything but being asked nastily is not nice.

Good location, close to Semaphore and very close to beach. Cabin was small, old, had no deck/outside seating and was dirty. (extra cleaning was offered to us, the day after arrival) Even though other park facilities were fine, I don't think a standard cabin is a good value here.

Really enjoyed our stay at Discovery Park Semaphore. Not a big park, which we prefer, lots of activities across the Xmas and New Year period and great shower/laundry amenities.

Walk to the beach. Great New Year fireworks display close by, just enjoy them on the beach. No need to leave the park. Great amenities. Close to all Adelaide attractions. Beautiful sunsets on the beach. Great place for families.

Arrived to find the gas had been left on in the Cabin, very poor and unsafe.
Cabins are so old and run down, cannot believe they are still in circulation.
Staff were rude towards the children.
Would not recommend.

Stayed in a 2bedroom cabin — not very clean or looked after! Uargh! Only good thing was direct beach access and a big beach playground very close by!

Bed linen dirty. Cabin stunk of cigarette smoke. Bathroom area in disrepair. Only one star for great location.

I stayed in a standard cabin, not the greatest I wouldn't stay in them again if I had the choice, the need to be upgraded big time. Other than that the other deluxe cabins are perfect.

It was amazing just not being able to swim in the pool was the only down.

Great option for a family on a tight budget with plenty of stuff to keep the kids happy.

Great location on the beach. Top facilities friendly staff with reasonable prices. What more can I say!. Group of us stayed their in a beachfront cabin last weekend well equipped and maintained. Highly recommend.

Stayed for 2 nights. We stayed in a deluxe cabin. Cabin had mold in most windows, shower and dusty skirtings in bathroom. We moved to a another room on the second night because the mold was too much (all over the net curtain aswel) in the room my young kids were sleeping in. We are just happy we didn't pay full price because of the special the Discovery Parks are having for school holidays (kids free). Wasn't a terrible stay, but how the hell have they kept there 4 star rating? Have they been assessed recently to keep there 4 star rating?

Stayed here for one night, our cabin was broken into and items stolen. The Cabins window screen was slashed and the window itself did not have a lock. But apparently this is not their problem. Security at the park is lacking and took over 1 week to hear back from Discovery Parks HR after calling 5 or more times. i was told it was not their issue. another couple at the park had their bike chain cut and bikes stolen on the same night. I was told this has never happened before but I highly doubt this. got a refund for the night (minus booking fee) we are so lucky we were not at the cabin during the break in. I fear we could have been seriously hurt or injured.

A great local beach front caravan park. Everything from powered sites to multi bedroom cabins are available. Lots of facilities for family and a nice safe atmosphere.

Recently stayed in the 3 bedroom beach house and we were very disappointed. The unit certainly was not four star. The "stunning ocean views" as stated on web page, were viewed through barbwire and a glimpse of ocean could been seen past the unpleasant sand hills. Unit felt old and drab. Blind hems were coming down, table top so marked no matter how often it was wiped it still felt unclean. Shower was so small the door could not be opened without water going all over floor. Why bother having washing detergent if it is so watered down it will not help clean the dishes. The unit sleeps six adults but the only mirror was in bathroom. Very annoying when all trying to get ready to go out. All these things are small but, we believed from the web site we were paying for a lovely unit with sea views. Not what we got. The sand mining that we could see from the unit did not improve our view. We would not recommend this accommodation to anyone.

Camp kitchen well furnished, small reading room, bathroom clean. I gave 3 stars because 51$ is a little pricey for just an unpowered tent site, and those site are not private at all, nothing to separe but a plot.

This is on the beach front with eqsy access to ocean Water is beautiful, pool is good, bathrooms are perfect (especially since there is a bath) and good little reading room next to camp kitchen.

Room filthy, bathroom untidy and unpresentable, cupboards damaged, "full kitchen" nothing more than a microwave and a hotplate. Rated 1 star because 0 stars is unavailable.

Very nice and tidy — ammenities very clean but water saving taps were just unhandy. If you press once water is running for juts couple of seconds — I guess would be good to get back to ordinary everyday used taps.
