Disgraceful. Now I wasn't expecting the Ritz or anything, just basic hygiene and facilities, I don't think that's asking too much but for $100 a night I would at least expect some level of care… Arrived to a very rude desk clerk who made a joke about how we won't be too happy to have the room we were given. Above the tavern where smoking seems to be the No. 1 passtime. No double glazing and room filled with smoke each night as well as stank of it all day — like, STANK! Let's start with the bathroom shall we… There was some life form growing in the shower — pic is actually after I glided over the slime with my foot and realised it was mold. No shower door handle and the bathroom flick mixer tap barely moved — you needed to be a bodybuilder to use it! Towels were stained — one with some beautiful lipstick, the other with other mystery stains that I dare not think about. Next day all towels were taken and no replacements, went to the front desk where an equally rude woman begrudgingly went and got us ONE towel and basically threw it at us — this, by the way, was also covered in a beautiful rainbow of various stains. All moldings were cracked or moldy and the air vent hasn't been cleaned since 1900. The bedroom… The bed stank of cigarette smoke, as did everything else and the covers were covered in assorted hairs… not ours I may add 🤮 various stains on the bedding and side tables plus a wonderful array of stains on the carpet.
