An amazing place to camp with great facilities and abundance of wildlife. We went on the Archway Tour which was easy walking and the kids loved it too! Our tour guide Sonya was informative and fun.

We did the Archway experience with Andrew. It was very informative and all questions were answered appropriately. Care was taken to ensure all participants were assisted when required. An awesome experience.

Absolutely amazing. Great facilities, great staff, and the lava tours were incredibly interesting.

This unique resort was worth the effort to get here for us. Staff worked hard to make our stay enjoyable, meals were good and tours interesting. Lots of accommodation options from camping to glamping, huts and converted railway carriages give this attraction much to offer all. Ideal spot for a break from the rat race.

I highly recommend adding this beautiful and Unspoilt place to your travels. It is so beautiful and interesting! The tours are really well done and facilities very comfortable. The food is outstanding and the service and staff were brilliant. They should be very proud of the paradise they share. Thank you 🙏

Fabulous experience. We stayed in one of the train carriages and they were super special. The lava tubes tours were fantastic as well, and all staff were amazing. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay with our 2.5yo. She is train mad so staying in the carriage was a big treat. The staff are very friendly & welcoming & the accommodation very clean & comfortable. Undara is absolutely beautiful & the lava tube tour was incredible!

The Wind Cave tour was great. Loved all the facilities and great food. We stayed 2 nights and loved the pool after our bush walk.

Interesting place although wasn’t real keen on guides indigenous views, found them rather archaic & ill informed personally.

The whole place is closed until February next year for major renovations. I was there to deliver materials and it looked awesome and staff I met were very friendly.

Great place to visit, nice accommodation.

The archway tour was fabulous. Our guide Jason was very personable and fantastic with the children who were there. The camping facilities and reception and bar area are very well done. It all had a lovely relaxed feel about it and an abundance of birds and wallaby’s. If you get the opportunity, this is definitely to be experienced.

This place is really something! Our family had a great time, the restaurant was wonderful, the bar could have ripped us off as there was no competition but they had well priced wines and beers, campfire and movie every night. So impressed. Well done Undara Experience!

Great camping, good amenities, the Archway Tour was very interesting, we learned lots. Staff are friendly and helpful. The walks are lovely, some taxing, some not.

Such a fascinating place to visit with so many things to see and do. The magnificent lava tubes really are something else and the tours a must, every single one of them! Lots of exploring to do with hiking trails and mountain biking as well. Classic friendly country hospitality from Kane and the team, delicious food from the restaurant and Bush Breakfast plus great amenities makes for a fantastic holiday destination all round. Make sure you book for at least 2 nights as there is plenty to see and do, we recently stayed for 5 nights and there's still more to do next time we visit. Undara Experience is definitely a must do!

A great tourist attraction for those interested in our geological history. The park is a good outback facility, with very good nightly entertainment or talks. Well worth the visit and the stay.

There are simply not enough stars! This is the best tour I feel I have ever experienced, both in Oz or overseas. Pinnarendi Station Stay is also off the charts. Loving it out here on the Savannah Way!

Guided tour of the caves was very informative and amazing. With restored train carriages for accommodation, caravan and camping area for the travellers, the Undara Experience grounds was an eye opener. Huge undercover area for dining and a bar made it a relaxing outing afternoon. Bush walking tracks. Volcanic crater viewing tracks so give yourself plenty of time for the visit. Loved it.

After reading lots of the positive reviews and seeing the most gorgeous photos of the caves, we were quite excited to join the Active Explorer tour. Unfortunately we came out quite disappointed. Interesting information, however too little cave exploration. We cannot state our opinion about the other cave tours, but the Active Explorer tour did not satisfy our cave-curiosity. Done plenty of cave tours before, this one seems not the right value for your money.

Beautiful outback campground shared with Kookaburras, lorikeets and kangeroos. Well maintained facilities. Great campfire atmosphere with a different entertainment every night. Bush brekky option good fun and delicious. Interesting lava tube tour with professional, knowledgeable guides. An absolute must when in the Queensland Out back.

This hidden gem needs to be shared more widely. Jason our guide gave an excellent talk about how, when and why these lava tubes came to be. Highly recommend the tour.

The tours are worth doing but even the active one was a very slow pace. The dinners are expensive so if your on a budget bring your own food. The set up is lovely and the facilities are well laid out and maintained. Some more 'active' caving would be ideal.

We stayed here with our motorhome and did the lava cave walking tour. The stay was comfortable, clean facilities and with a fire place on every campside. Every evening, they offer camp fire activities with guitar music and awesome stories told by one of the guides. This was one of my best experiences in Undara, don't miss it! The walking tour was great where it is more informative than actually a hike. Nevertheless, you get a good insight of the history and the guides are really knowledgeable and are able to answer all you questions. Highly recommend to stay 1-2 nights incl. A tour!

The use of old Queensland rail carriages as a base for the construction of the restaurant and offices as well as some of the accommodation gave this are a nice feel. The guided tour of the lava tubes was entertaining and very informative. Good value overall. Meals were reasonably priced considering the location.

We stayed here in a converted railway carriage over a weekend. It was very comfortable. The renovations they have done are outstanding, respecting the history of the train carriages, yet maintaining high standards of comfort for guests. There's no TV or radio in the carriages. Our package included some tours and meals, the bush breakfast was the highlight. Heather, our host for breakfast, was a real gem. Of the tours, the Archway Explorer tour was our favourite. I would recommend doing some tours as the areas of the park you can explore independently are limited. On our final day we elected for a packaged lunch to take with us. This was a great choice, as it meant we could leave on our own schedule, and explore one of the craters on our own as we left the park.

The staff were friendly and informative. The service was good. Well worth the drive. The caves were interesting.

Novel staying overnight in a railway carriage. Food was good with croc, emu and barramundi. Caves were ok. It was nice chatting to the black cockies in the morning and there were a ton of lovely butterflies everywhere. The pool is good to cool off in and the after dinner singalong around the fire place with Aussie songs we all know was a little tacky but fun, especially watching the overseas visitors getting into it. Overall worth the cost even though we felt it was a little on the expensive side.

Friendly, professional, world class place to stay in Outback Everything from opera to caves, this place is a must for anyone who can make it.

Uhhh if you really looking for an outdoor bush experience. Please visit it. Amazing.

The lava tubes were really interesting and our guide really new the subject matter. The resort was a bit tired and very quite when we were there even though it was Vic school holidays. Food was average. The tents we stayed in were average, the bed were tiny. Staff were great.

Great hospitality at a unique natural wonder. Stay in an old Queensland Rail carriage and tour extraordinary ancient lava tubes. Thoroughly recommended.

Fantastic! We camped out here on our way through to Cairns. What a lovely experience. The food was fantastic and we were treated to wildlife around our campsite — this never gets old!

This little piece of Australia is wonderful both from a natural and a holiday perspective. The camp facilities are great with a nostalgic feel added from the old railway carriages that form the basis of accommodation as well as the bar and dining areas. We stayed in tented pods with what was a central area under a canvas roof. Comfortable and clean with all beds and linen supplied. The tour experience itself was brillant. The tubes are stunning in their own right but the guides made it more interesting with their knowledge of how it all formed. Bush walks great with the highlight being a sunset up on the rocky bluff. Can do everything in 2 days but they will be a great 2 days.

Rooms were satisfactory. The rail car theme is interesting. The room itself was fine but the bathroom had a terrible smell. It might have been some sort of cleaner they used but it smelled like sulfur with a hint of lemon? either way not good. The bed was a bit lumpy but wasn't a problem. Nature and tours were great! saw many kangaroos and wallabies. Tour guides were super friendly and knowledgeable. Dinner was overpriced and not terrible but not good either.

First class operation. The tours were excellent with informative guides. Caravan park had good sized sites and adequate facilities that were kept clean. For those interested there was entertainment after the evening meal.

I haven't been to Undara since I was a kid and it's even more amazing than I remember. We stayed for 2 nights and given it was the green season we shared the property with only a few other couples and on one night were the only ones there. I hear during winter it gets very busy which sounds like a lot of fun too. Everything was so green, we did a few of the walks and caught stunning sunrises and of course the lava tubes were spectacular. A must see in Nth Queensland I'd say. Kane our guide knew so much and I feel like I came away with so much knowledge. You have to do the sunset and night wildlife tour too. The sunset spot is beautiful and wildlife experience will blow your mind. We love it!

Super Location… great staff… all newly renovated… and the Kangaroos are in Abundance.

Drove all the way from Port Douglas for the 1pm tour arrived at 11.30am and were told only one tour today and it was full! No information we read alerted us to this fact that if the tours full theres nothing else for you there. The staff weren't really interested in us and told us the season starts again in mid October — today was the 23rd October! You travel 17km off the main road toget to Undara so surely if you weren't interested in people coming you should show a sign stating no further tours available today? You turned 8 people away in the time we were at reception — surprises me youve survived the 6 generations really! We hope your farming prowess is going better than your tourism venture!

It's not cheap. But the tubes are fascinating, the evening tour is great. Enjoyed the sunset drinks. Like the facilities and campfire breakfast.

Totally love this place. Excellent camp sites. Quality facilities. Fantastic meals. Awesome lava tube tours and beautiful bushwalks. Bush breakfast was not just a meal, but a delightful experience. 1st class staff and management service. Will be back again and again!

Having just completed a few days at Undara, my family and I have come away with a host of positives about our experience. Our accommodation was in the pioneer huts… clean, neat, well placed in the bush land and close to all amenities on the site. We accessed several tours and all were very educational and well worth undertaking. We were also busy doing bush walks, taking photos and observing animals morning, noon and night… wonderful, especially for our small grandsons. The staff were very helpful, very accommodating, easy to talk to and always smiling and pleasant. The lava tubes are amazing. We thought that the costs for the entire trip were quite reasonable when one considers the remote location and the ongoing needs/wants of a wide range of guests. We will definitely return again for further experiences we didn't have time to include this trip. We highly recommend this experience to all. Congratulations Undara staff. Thank you.
