We stayed in Kintail which was perfect for our needs, providing two spacious en-suite bedrooms, living room and kitchen. The deck afforded us beautiful views into the bush which provides habitat for varied wildlife. We watched a scrub turkey make his/her way across the grass several times, heard the cat birds caterwauling and noted swallows and caroling magpie. The lack of streetlights is an absolute bonus — we had magnificent views of the Milky Way, the Southern Cross and even the International Space Station passed across our line of sight! All of these were visible due to the lack of light pollution. We can absolutely recommend this beautiful place as a peaceful retreat from everyday life, and a place to become more in touch with the natural world — and our most beautiful southern skies.
