Sadly the management is rude, aggressive and falsely accused us of damage we didn’t do and cancelled our booking for the following year. All without proof that we had done anything. We went to management when our child who has a disability, damaged a door and paid for this however, that was sufficient for management to accuse us of any other damage to the property that preexisted our stay. When I asked if she had any proof that we had done the additional damage, such as cuts to the kitchen bench top etc, she replied “can you prove you didn’t? ” and continued the tirade. We had been coming to the resort for years with never an issue except that we felt we had to tiptoe around the manager who we saw treating others both in person and on the phone, extremely disrespectfully. We were basically scared of her which is a shocking thing to say about resort management. It’s a complete contradiction to the role. The location and facilities are fabulous and it’s such a wonderful place to stay aside from the management and that smoking is allowed is allowed inside the resort. I only hope that the body corporate will see fit to change the resort management one day so those of us who have met with her unjustified disapproval can return, and others who have had similar negative experiences, can also return and enjoy this wonderful resort.

My partner and I loved this resort. It was such a different and amazing experience as you had your own house instead of just an apartment room. Their pool is completely different to most resorts as well and absolutely amazing. Loved it, would recommend to anyone staying at Noosaville.

Very clean and tidy resort that caters for everyone, beautiful location and easy to get to anywhere surrounding the islander.

From the moment we walked into reception we were instantly welcomed. The facilities are absolutely phenomenal, the pools and spas impeccable, our children were thrilled with the pools! Our villa was lagoon side, super spacious and had everything that we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Everything was within walking distance or at most a short car ride and there are some lovely eateries close by. All in all we had an amazing stay at the Islander and we hope to come and visit again in the future. P. S thank you for the little surprise in the fridge it was gratefully appreciated and enjoyed.

Superb gardens and spacious rooms. The pool and spas are great areas to relax in.

The receptionist is rude. I asked for a room for two couples near the pool preferably a single level. We arrived the rude receptionist read us the right act. They put us in a villa with two rooms one queen bed and two single beds. I called reception the rude receptionist answered and told me what you got a single level Like you asked. No where near the pool one bathroom and you like or not too bad. Called back because I couldn’t stand her abuse I put the phone down, I asked to speak to the manager only when my friend told her that this might be her last holiday as she has terminal cancer he told her he would refund the money. When we got back to reception the rude receptionist wasn’t happy and continued to abuse us, asking me to leave reception as she didn’t like what I was saying and this is the best part the entire time the receptionist was being rude the manger was sitting there and watching her be rude to his customers. I asked him if he seriously pays her to be that rude to the customers, he didn’t bother to reply.
We now staying at the ivory resort where they appreciate the business and have made us feel welcome the rooms are beautiful and the staff are friendly. I wouldn’t recommend The Islander if it was the last place left to stay.

"WOW" what an amazing place to stay. Clean room, great friendly staff, (from reception to the cleaners) very friendly and up for a chat. Extremely well presented resort and very well kept grounds.
This was our 2nd stay at the establishment and my gosh, it won't be our last.
also a HUGE shout out to the neighbouring restaurant "Moondoggys" the food and beverages was awesome and the staff where warm and welcoming too.

Great Resort with an even better location. Weather your with the kids or just enjoying a couples break, this place offers everything you could ask for.

This is our 2nd holiday at this resort and there will definately be a 3rd. The cleanliness and well presented villas are fantastic. Nothing is to much from any of the staff from housekeeping to gardeners and the main office. Situated close to everything from local shopping centre's to plenty of super restaurants or take away's. What ever you want any night. The pools sauna's and spa's were a hit with visiting grand children and their Parents and Us. Amazing BBQ family area as well as Tennis court and Games room for those wet or lazy days. Thank you all for your attention to every little detail. Lesley Santana we will be back.

A beautiful resort in a superb location. Great stay with the kids and so close to everything. We will definitely be returning.

Made to pay (taken out of bond) for supposed damage to a table not ever used by us that was in a place open to all guests. No conversation, no question — just took money. Dishonest. Will never return.

Beautiful resort with wonderful facilities. Friendly staff and an array of yummy food places on your doorstep. Definitely will be our place to stay now when we visit Noosa again.

Stayed there about 15 times love the location, walk out to dinner, and the large pool is fantastic allways have a great break away.

Fantastic place to stay with kids. Self contained villa very clean with all facilities. All of us loved the lagoon pool area. Lots of restaurants out on the street and only 10 minute drive to Hastings street.

Loved our stay here 3 adults 3 late teens and 3 kids. 2 x 3 bed apartments. Quiet privacy was awesome. Secure. Pools were lovely in July (winter) close to everything. Will be back.

Absolutely great place to stay when visiting the Noosa area. Very friendly staff. Everything within walking distance of the resort. River, ferry, shops, Drs, shopping centre, buses at the door. Don’t need a car even bus it from airport. Units spacious, clean and everything in it. Highly recommend.

The Islander is in a great location but I have never meet reception staff that were so rude. We tried to book thru the resort and it was full so we booked a private unit thru stayz at the resort. On the 1st day we couldn’t find which pool of the three was the heated one so I asked the reception staff and she refused to tell me which one was heated as we were staying in a private unit on their property I needed to contact the owner apparently… I was dumb founded to say the least, never come across this anywhere in my whole time of travelling… so I asked one of the nice people staying at the resort and they helped us out.

Great place, lovely villas, great swimming pools, close to everything, didn't want to leave lol…

Great location by the river close to all amenities. Fantastic for families. Comfortable and well appointed rooms. Excellent value for money.

Central location on Noosa River. Great facilities and accommodation Staff are super friendly. Kids just want to be in that pool! Moondoggies cafe is yum yum yum.

If you have young children, just be sure to specify the ages of your children upon booking as their three story villas are not child friendly. (There was an issue with our booking site which defaulted our children's ages to 12, so double-check that as its important at this hotel) The layout of our two bedroom villa was strange, the main bedroom was on the bottom level, the living room / kitchen in between on the middle level and the second bedroom at the very top, with a huge… cut out in the wall looking down to the living room (not ideal for a curious toddler), the stairs to each level are steep with large gaps in between each step, not appropriate or safe for young children. We were eventually moved to another two story villa which was better for young kids. The villas are quite dated. I will say though that it was reasonably priced and in a good location.

The place is good value for money! 3 bedroom villas are spacious and generally clean, however a bit dated and some not too obvious areas like. Hooks or wardrobe doors could be cleaner. Bed was too hard for me, I got back and neck pain, but that is obviously a personal preference. Water pressure is good and showers get nice and hot. Kitchen has all that you need. Some of the pool areas seemed unfortunately be closed for maintenance, but the cockleshell pool was nice. Location at Gympie Terrace opposite of the river nice, supermarket and lots of little eateries nearby. 10 Min bus drive to Hastings Street. If you are looking for value for money and don't mind dated design, you will not be disappointed with this place.

A quite and friendly place. Just opposite the Noosa River. There is a a big pool and spa and another smaller one. Our accomodation is clean, comfortable with plenty of light. We have two upstairs bedrooms. We have enjoyed our week stay.

It was a delightful place to stay. Sorry we only spent one night there. The accomodation was excellent. I would like to stay there for longer. Close to everything you need.

Close to shopping, transport and many water activities. Apartment was clean, well equipped and aesthetically pleasing surrounded by palms. Relaxing atmosphere and good service.

Great location central to shops parks extra, pool, spas and saunas where great was disappointed with Wi-Fi only could use in pool area, kids games area needs done up, our unit was ok down fall was right next to a main street heard everything at night was hard to sleep. We left a day early due to me and my kids being sick from there aircon lost $155 they would only reimbuse us it back in our account if they could find someone to fill it for that night, was not told that at the time of our arrival or checking in disappointed. We would of been happy with half that back but, no got no money back not sure we will go back here at this point.

Excellent location, beautiful refurbished 2 bedroom accommodation beside the pool, friendly & courteous staff… the perfect holiday destination. Thank you for a superb week.
PS Moondoggies have the best coffee in Noosa…

The pools were great and the room nice. However, the parking we absolutely atrocious. A severe lack of parking on the grounds forced us to park on the street and walk to our room. We had a good rant with other guests about it.

Its the perfect place for a family with young children. Convenient location for all you need with great facilities to keep everyone entertained which is a great plus if you have children.

Great place for families… The room we had was a self contained unit… With 4 single beds upstairs, and a main queen sized bed downstairs. Only the one bathroom, and a kitchen. The kitchen had just about everything you need — oven, cooktop, microwave, and all plates, cups, cutlery and cookware etc. We were located right next to the main pool, and we never found it too noisy etc. In easy walking distance to cafes, restaurants, shopping etc… And a Woolworths and Dan Murphys also in walking distance. If you really wanted to, you wouldn't have to travel far from the resort and a car is rarely required unless going further from the resort. Highly recommended for families, but can also suit couples.

Great staff and great facilities. Apartments are well maintained and clean. Grounds are immaculate. Three pools, kids club and tennis courts means plenty to do within the resort.

Great service, friendly staff. Decor a little dated and could do with an update, but the villa and grounds were clean.

This is our second stay the first two years ago. Great location, couldn't ask for better facilities, clean grounds, well maintained. Our room was well decked out and could find not one thing to fault. Friendly, helpful front of house staff, even in Moondoggys cafe. My friend who stayed with us was raving to family about it, so much so they plan a visit in the near future. Thanks guys for a memorable stay :-)

One of the best places I have been to for a holiday, it is just gorgeous the gardens are so well maintained the huge separate pool areas, heated spas, bbq areas is all so beautiful there is always lots to do a lovely family orientated place.

Checked in here two weeks ago looking for accommodation for interstate and overseas wedding guests. Well, we hit the jackpot. Units were clean, bright and cheerful with their beach themes, kitchen well equipped, bedrooms and bathrooms the same. Beautiful manicured tropical garden and a fabulous pool to cool off in. Staff were pleasant and extremely helpful. Grounds are gated which adds to the security. Ferry to Noosa Heads directly across the road, and a fabulous assortment of cafes, restaurant and shops all within strolling distance. Thoroughly recommended.

This a great lttle resort for families or couples with self contained units with everythng you could need for an overnight or extended stay. The 2 gig of free Wi-Fi was a bit slow but a real bonus nonetheless. The triple pool with 2 spas in the main lagoon area was wonderful for kids and adults alike. The rooms were clean and the staff all friendly and eager to help. I will be bringing my family back here again.

Great complex if a little dated, however the pools have recently been upgraded. Very convenient position and friendly service. Terrific little Cafe at the entrance Moondoggies fantastic food, real fruit juices freshly squeezed, friendly staff, very family friendly.

Appartments are always comfortable. The main pool lagoon pool is awesome, my daughter loved it as did I.

A quiet pleasant tropical retreat with ir close to all amenities for a relaxing holiday. The apartment was well equipped and very clean.

We had an excellent stay at the Islander with our two young kids. The villa was a little dated, however very clean, well maintained and well appointed. The grounds have great facilities and lovely swimming pools and BBQ facilities and the location is perfect. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone who doesn't require something super flash. We'll be back. The only negative is the small Wi-Fi allowance which is very limiting. In this day and age, we expect to be able to run our business from our accommodation and this was not the case.

I really enjoyed our recent stay & would recommend staying at The Islander. Staff were great facilities excellent, rooms well appointed and it was central to a number Nooseville. The only frustration was the free Wi-Fi was useless as I rarely could get access and when I did it took too long to work effectively.

Great location, on site parking, late night guests can be heard through the windows. Walls are thin, rooms are basic. Best suited to older guests. Pool and hot tub were well maintained. Lots of security warnings on the doors, didn't feel the safest staying there, the locks were basic. Try to get a unit with a balcony.

A thoroughly excellent experience! Well-appointed clean rooms, excellent kitchen facilities, great outdoor facilities, and an excellent location for exploring Noosaville and further afield. Definitely worth a return visit if only to see what the renovated big pool looks like!

Had a wonderful stay and will certainly be back. Close to everything, in-house cafe was fabulous, staff very friendly and helpful, and accommodation comfortable and perfectly suited to our needs. Highly recommend!

Awesome place to stay loved the pool loved the location our room was great accomodating for our family we will be back again gives us the island experience in the heart of the northshore loved it! And great prices too!

Fantastic resort. Great facilities surrounded by lush tropical gardens.

We're on night 5 and we'll be back. This is the perfect place to holiday with kids — we've hardly used the car! Our apartment isn't the newest — but that makes the holiday far more relaxing when you're not worrying about everything the kids touch. Upon saying that it has a new kitchen and laundry appliances, and was extremely clean. The pools are great and right outside our front door. We hired fishing rods across the road from 'O-Boats' for $10 for 24 hours which has be…en heaps of fun. The river has a nice sands beach and there is a massive playground just down the road. The staff here are great — helpful and friendly and constantly cleaning and maintaining different parts of the resort. The supermarket and bottle store are a 5 minute walk, as are the usual takeaway food places such as Domino's and McDonald's… but with thai takeaways and a fish and chips shop combined with loads of great restaurants outside each exit of the resort you're spoilt for choice. We went to Hastings St yesterday and although it's great we really felt happy we'd made the choice to stay at The Islander :)

We have been coming to the Islander Resort for almost 20 years. We started coming when our children were young and now they are grown and have children of their own and they often come and spend a few days with us when we're here each year. Whilst not the newest accommodation in Noosaville the units are always comfortable, clean and well-maintained. The pool area is fantastic and includes a huge undercovered BBQ area, fantastic for families and visitors of all ages. Close proximity to the river and parks and BBQ areas, cafes, restaurants and shops and the nearby Yacht Club allows us to walk to most places. We don't have to get into our car to enjoy any of the mentioned places. We are always welcomed by Cathy and all the staff. With a smile and feel like it's almost a home away from home. Our stay at the Islander is never long enough.

Great for the kids, lots to do, see, and eat within walking distance. The rooms were a little dated but secure and comfortable enough.

Great location, poor communication. This resort is great if you have kids, thanks to the pool and its proximity to Noosaville's kid friendly esplanade. However communication was lacking — eg. Being told that we were entitled to a credit at the next door cafe but then checkout bring told by the same lady that we didn't qualify due to the rate.

We had a great holiday at The Islander. The resort is fantastic for children ie the kids club was great. The pools and spas are so relaxing to be in or around. Plenty of room to play and swim. The units are quite spacious and have everything in them that you need for the stay. The grounds are very tropical and well maintained. The position is ideal with the river, shopping, cafes and bus service close by. We will certainly return for another holiday.

Great place for a family holiday. Clean and well kept. Nicely landscaped and plenty of pools to swim in. Centrally located in Noosaville. Been here two times now. Staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty of restaurants nearby to eat at.

This would have to be the nicest place I ever stayed at (Ive traveled all around the world). The Staff are so friendly and helpful. The Rooms are of a very high level as are the pools and gardens. The rooms have a beautiful view most overlooking the pools new furniture with giant plasmas fully equipped kitchen and the 2 bathrooms came in handy also. The rooms were very very comfortable as is the whole place! The walk ways around the resort are beautiful and peaceful. Gates around the resort are all security locked so you need your swipe card to get in and out which was great. The parking is very secure with your own area to park. Night time the walkways were all lit up. The location is fantastic cafes all around (not expensive), Woolworths, chemist, Mc Donalds, Red Roster all directly across the road, bus stops right out the front of the resort. Everything is only a 1 minute walkaway. There are 4 pools and 3 spas which 1 is baliness styled. I would never look anywhere else in noosa to stay this will always be my home when I visit noosa again. They get 5 stars from me right away not negatives at all.
